Brilliant oneteen
Now the nail biting starts waiting for offers.

KingscoteStaff · 26/11/2019 12:59

Oh oneteen what a relief!

Hoghgyni · 26/11/2019 14:04

Finally!

oneteen · 26/11/2019 14:21

I'm fine now the application has been sent... School undergoing so many staff changes (Inc all the SLT 6th Form) that didn't leave me with very much confidence..

Hopefully she will get a couple of quick offers. A lot of places seem to be dealing with them as they come through and making speedy decisions now.

thesunwillout · 26/11/2019 15:07

@oneteen my dd's has gone this lunchtime!!!!
Yay for you

MillicentMartha · 26/11/2019 15:50

Acknowledgements came through within a couple of days but offers took around a week for the first for DS.

Hooray @oneteen and @thesunwillout ! Very relieved for you both! WineWine

HuaShan · 26/11/2019 17:21

Congrats oneteen and sun - at least you can breathe for a few days. It must a a relief.

DS got an email from Imperial confirming they have MAT scores and are re evaluating all applications, so I think (hope) i was right that bath's reduced offer was because of MAT score. This week is agony.

MillicentMartha · 26/11/2019 17:46

HuaShan at least it’s all positive so far. 🤞

Hurray for oneteen and sun at the applications finally going, and congratulations to all the DCs who've had offers!

We're still waiting for the tutor's reference, then DS says we can sit down and check it all through before it gets submitted. College want it done by the end of term, so I'm hoping it won't be too much longer now. He's done his PS, anyway, which is the biggest chunk of work on his part.

Snozzlemaid · 26/11/2019 18:10

DD got her second offer today, from Birmingham. CCC if she chooses them as her firm, otherwise the standard AAB.

oneteen · 26/11/2019 18:13

Well done Snozzle DD - that's a wonderful offer...I dare say that may change to CCC full stop at bit nearer the final option date...

Snozzlemaid · 26/11/2019 18:18

Thanks. I hope your DD's offers start coming in soon.

bpisok · 26/11/2019 18:42

oneteen - do they do that?
I didn't know that a CCC if firm could get made a CCC regardless if you wait until the last minute.
Anyone any experience of this?

blackistheneworange · 26/11/2019 18:58

Millicent - no conditions on it but it is his preferred so he's very happy. He was going to stay at home and travel but now we are considering him living in halls (if he can get in) so we're going back for another look.

He had another offer for what we thought would be his insurance policy but that offer is high so it's a no.

oneteen · 26/11/2019 19:00

Bpisok..The CCC's are new ...but they changed some UC's in previous years from UC if firm to UC before the final option dates - so assume they could do the same with the CCC offers..

KingscoteStaff · 26/11/2019 19:01

Has anyone seen dates for offer holder days at Newcastle or Bristol? DS keen for a second look.

LIZS · 26/11/2019 19:02

I guess ccc is the new unconditional offer, Birmingham having said they will no longer use them. Hmm

bpisok · 26/11/2019 19:14

Thanks oneteen really useful to know.

It may be her firm anyway, but at least it gives an added reason to put off the decision making for a few months 😁

oneteen · 26/11/2019 19:26

@kingscote - So glad your DS's Cambridge interview offer finally came through..The straight forward interview offers tend to come out last from most Uni's.

Serin · 26/11/2019 19:45

CCC for Birmingham is wonderful.
They offered DS AAA Blush

Snozzlemaid · 26/11/2019 20:08

What subject is that Serin? Dd has applied for Biomedical science.
They said at Birmingham open day that if applicants had high enough predicted grades and got 8s or 9s at GCSE they would offer CCC if firmed.
