Usual Just ignore it. People use the term chav on here with no understanding of the meaning the seems.

usualsuspect · 10/05/2013 21:04

It pisses me off though,SP.

Who the fuck do they think they are?

SPsCliffingAllOverMN · 10/05/2013 21:06

They are all obviously high and mighty with their glorious grandmother titles.

My nanna wasn't chavvy I know that, neither is my mum and neither is my sons 92 year old great great grandma who we all call Popin. Yea that's right, made up name!

So on that definition slugs, a person who takes up a live-in childcare position is a chavvy goat?

All the grannies (5 or 6 including the greats) are granny/great granny 'first name' my mum got embarrassed by it for a but but us now a proud 'granny' of 6 at 47 years old :) although she is often mistaken for their mum as she looks 35 thank god i have her baby face genes

Don't make me angry, you really wont like me when I'm angry.

Ihatethecold the Punjabi for Grandmother for your daughter's children is Nani (pronounced more like 'nuh-ni'). If it's your son's children then it would be Bibi. Smile

I'm Nanny Wheeze. My nephew used to call me Annie Wheeze (when he could pronounce neither Auntie, nor my first name) and so Nanny Wheeze seemed to suit me best.

Xigris, what a sensible thing, to have different names for maternal and paternal grandmothers!

Our beautiful first grandchild was born this Saturday and I had said I wanted to be called Nan. Both my softy sons looked sadly at me and said their Nan (my Mum)died recently would I consider Nanna instead. Some people cannot be replaced!!!
