I have put her paintings on my profile.

She did all of these aged between 18 months and 3 years (she hasn't done much since because her sister was born a few days after she turned 3 and believe me, if I can't be arsed to sit down and teach her the reading words from school, I definitely am not keen enough to supervise two small children with acrylic paints).

They are all acrylic on canvas, approx. 2 foot length.

Please offer me a large cheque signed on behalf of the Saatchi gallery in exchange.

Well my Morty does abstract vom pictures. No-one seems interested in buying them though, funnily enough.

"I can churn out more camels ..."

Aha! So it is all your own work MP! I suspected as much. 5 year old indeed...

mp, not poncey at all. Please do it, and commission an original every year, so that any of your friends who are farsighted enough to keep them can sell them and make a fortune when she is famous.

OK - £20 for space (I've got blue settees - it'll go beautifully in our new house..!)

They're fab. I'm horribly jealous of anyone with children that can draw. It's not a gift either of our ds's seems to have been born with...

And hey hey!! DS2 does SHIT ART!! Wall morals to be precise!! I keep posting about them but nobody has commisioned him yet and he is very experienced and accomplished.. been at it for years!

(I've come such a long way from the person who wouldn't admit it to anyone.. now I boast about his talents ]

I really don't want you to explain that one Shiny...

DS does short lived urine art - you have to see it whilst it is damp to appreciate it but he can do wonderful patterns

Wall morals, shiny? Art and guidance at once? You need my alter ego, HabbiTateEducation...

And MP, don't look at Dotty's shiny £20 note. 'Tis vulgar to up the ante like that, and to buy art to go with your furniture.

Murals! Murals!! There is nowt moral about it I can assure you... he tests my every maternal instinct when he does it! I just want to hurl him, and all his artwork out the nearest window!

Have just posted about one of his Pieces de Resistance on the Inapproriate Poo thread actually!

Today's "homework" was to design a christmas card so I have attached today's great work of a Boggle-Eyed King on a Camel

I'm not sure about his arms

"I'm not sure about his arms"

I fear you are starting to get too serious about this. I mean, you haven't mentioned the minor arm issue to dd have you?

Perhaps they are tucked under his cape somehow... or your dd is very pc and he is a King with restricted arm-growth...

Report
morningpaper · 27/11/2007 21:12

I looked at the arms from different angles and I still felt that the proportions were not quite right

I dressed up as a king and bestrode the armchair so that she could copy but still I feel the arms are not quite there

Also at first glance I was worried that the beast had udders

But she reassured me that was the rug coming over the other side of its body. Phew.

The green 'Car in the Rain' one is gorgeous. Would look lovely in our hallway.

DS is 13 months. If I chain him to an easel and force him to practice all day every day, maybe he could knock us up a copy before he gets to school age?
