I have put her paintings on my profile.

She did all of these aged between 18 months and 3 years (she hasn't done much since because her sister was born a few days after she turned 3 and believe me, if I can't be arsed to sit down and teach her the reading words from school, I definitely am not keen enough to supervise two small children with acrylic paints).

They are all acrylic on canvas, approx. 2 foot length.

Please offer me a large cheque signed on behalf of the Saatchi gallery in exchange.

MP - can you tell us a bit about the paints/materials, etc - think this is very cool, and would like to let my little one loose in a couple of months. She's 13 months, and any artistic talent she has will have to be sui generis (ponciness handed down from my side, natch). Go on - give us a toddler abstract painting boot camp...

hatwoman · 26/11/2007 21:01

pmsl at the thread title mp. also at the massive arses and three chins. photography is something else that bugs me a bit. I see some superb stuff (I come from a family of photographers so kind of know a bit) but I see some truly awful stuff where the "composition" is just accidental. Like I said on the other thread space is amazing. would you auction it? seriously? how about a mumsnet art auction for charity?

Flamesparrow · 26/11/2007 21:03

DD just does everything brown she mixes it all up so we have pages and pages of green/brown sludge

(My recipes are dull as hell )

morningpaper · 26/11/2007 21:05

tee heeh oooh no I couldn't part with them REALLY

not now she is in her rubbish literal phase

Habbibu: I bought some canvases from my local painting shop (about 3-6 quid each) and lots of acrylic paints. That's about it really. I did it in the kitchen to avoid ruining the lounge. Just used any old brushes.

The only thing I "guided" was that I taught her to cover up ALL the white i.e. cover the canvas with paint.

Ooh - quite excited now - and liked the idea of covering the whole canvas - it really stands out. How old was she when you started?

morningpaper · 26/11/2007 21:10

18 months

the triptych she did at 18 months - the canvases are slightly smaller and she churned them out really quickly, so I bought larger canvases from then on

She was my PFB OBVIOUSLY

I only realised the other day that my 2 year old can draw faces and bodies and everything now

I barely pay her ANY attention

Blandmum · 26/11/2007 21:14

Are you not trying to get her work on permanent display???? Place at art collage?

morningpaper · 26/11/2007 21:15

I have added her most recent work

It is rather more literal

Now she generally uses pen and watercolour [ponce]

OP posts:
morningpaper · 26/11/2007 21:15

No you will see she has "progressed" somewhat

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 26/11/2007 21:16

Blandmum · 26/11/2007 21:18

morningpaper · 26/11/2007 21:20

OP posts:
Blandmum · 26/11/2007 21:21

ah yes, rather like my own dear pelvic floor.

tissy · 26/11/2007 21:21

love them all.

The fairy is charming, it may be literal, but is gorgeous! Why did she put camels on the hills?

Flamesparrow · 26/11/2007 21:22

Is she early 5 or late 5???? the fairy is still bloody good

morningpaper · 26/11/2007 21:22

7.99 for space please

Flamesparrow · 26/11/2007 21:24

I want space. It would look lovely in my lounge.

tissy · 26/11/2007 21:25

you should print it out and use it as a Christmas card. My db has a bit of a talent for cartoons, and my parents always use one of his pictures as a Christmas card.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 26/11/2007 21:26

3.99 for butterflies
and I'll start the bidding on Red Picture at 2.99

morningpaper · 26/11/2007 21:29

I have added a Close-up of the Camel, because it is soooooo funny!!!! It is TINY TINY TINY

OP posts:
Habbibu · 26/11/2007 21:32

Why are you all bidding at .99s, you crazy ladies? That's when you want to sell, and make it look like a bargain. MP, a crisp shiny whole ten pound note for space

morningpaper · 26/11/2007 21:33

never mind that

what will you give me for the camel?

OP posts:
VeniVidiVickiQV · 26/11/2007 21:34

£10.10 for space

Am ROFLMAO at the Camel! Its like a hermaphrodite
