that's ok double. i went to the fruit farm to pick strawberries instead of watching the game. I now have nearly 7kg of fruit to sort oout and my eyes are sores, itchy and streaming. And my nose is yucky. My hayfever is awful tonight. Plus I have come up in rashes all over my legs.

Can i go to bed yet?

Jet your parcel arrived today. thankyou. tis fab.

DeFluffy · 23/06/2010 18:34

guess what i'm going to say?? Yes, as per usual Ive read nothing yet.

Have update for bitter though, watched Tormented Monday night, Brit horror/teen type slasher, actually quite entertaining as mindless stuff goes. Then watched Wolfman last night, Anthony Hopkins/Benecio del Toro etc, ok but not great at all. Just about held attention, just.

Will attempt to catch up but about to do bedtime and then take photos of brooches!!!!

I know you're all excited!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 23/06/2010 19:00

DEM, that sounds uncomfortable.

SAF - Have you ever heard of the videotape theory when raising boys?

It's basically a theory that boys project a little into the future, in that they have in their minds the way things are going to go and if this doesn't happen it's like the videotape has broken.

Eg, I'm having toast and jam for breakfast, no there is no jam only marmite - cue meltdown.

Apparently the way to counteract this is to either 'reset' the tape (Find some jam pretty quick!) or to leave details as vague as possible so that they can't project to vividly (I'm having breakfast,Oh, it's toast and marmite)

Probably a very long winded way of saying something that is common sense, but it kind of makes sense to me. DS is really not good at plans changing, but if you don't tell him your plans he will roll with it.

DeFluff - can't wait to see the brooches.

I am eating a big plate of caesar salad.

It wouldn't have been quite as big, but apparently serving DH a salad after he has been at work all day is 'a fucking joke' so I had to go out and get him something.

I'll bloody spit roast him if he thinks he can talk to me like that.

Alicetheinvisible · 23/06/2010 19:45

Evening

DH made burgers for dinner. They are fab and yummy. DH is now cooking oven chips after having 3 burgers. He thinks he needs to catch up on some cals after the weekend. He is 6'3" and weighs about 10st atm, so he is probably right

DH admitted that the photographer was sneaky too. All the pics are of me at really bad angles, and there are loads of them. There are no individual shots of DH, but at least 4 of me weeble

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 23/06/2010 20:01

Double, it's definitely a boy thing.

'What are we having for dinner?'
Salmon
'what are we having with it?'
New potatoes
'just new potatoes?'
And salad
'Is everyone having salad?'
Yes
'where did you get the salad?'
The shop
'Mummy's shop or the little shop?'
Mummy's shop
'Normal Mummy's shop or the one you drive to?

And on and on and bloody on...

evening.

all i can smell is lemons and strawberries. it is a lovely smell. i am tired but have promised a lift to someone. However I have chocolate and caffine so it will be fine. I can take antihistamines in another 2 or so hours so that will help too.

No idea how much jam i will end up with in the end but it will last for a while so that is good.

plus it is nearly bedtime

Mittz · 23/06/2010 20:13

Hi Dem.. . I have your last text but had a mad afternoon and whiney demanding DD this evening... No worries ...xx

Apparently the screen on my lap top is buggered and probably needs replacing. Or I could get one of those little 'book lamps' that clamp to the top of books to read in bed and save myself god knows how much.

YanknCock · 23/06/2010 20:16

Is it too early to go to bed now?

Alicetheinvisible · 23/06/2010 20:25

I'm tempted too Yank

I'm watching Kindergarten Cop on ITV2. It's one of my secret favourite films.
