Thank you.

I'm hoping I won't have to have a lot of expensive work done, but I'm pretty sure I will.

Alicetheinvisible · 25/06/2010 08:54

It will be fine Bitter, quicker than childbirth!

Feeling so bleugh today, plumber here shortly, so really should get dressed....

trilliAnasTra · 25/06/2010 08:57

Is 'not as bad a childbirth' really a reassuring thing to say

Hello. I am illing .

I think I have a migraine brewing so I have taken the day off work and am going to bed.

Will try and catch up but the screen is tooo bright.

Alicetheinvisible · 25/06/2010 09:09

I didn't say not as bad, i said 'quicker'

Bitter it will be fine. Most they will do is look, tell you off for not going sooner and tell you to come back to have something minor done at another time.

Embarassingly i can't really leave the house atm, because i have nothing to wear. Having had two busy days means i haven't done any washing for a couple of days and as i only have a couple of things that fit i am a bit screwed until the washing dries good excuse to slob on the sofa this morning though.

Alicetheinvisible · 25/06/2010 09:10

Mitts - GO TO BED!

Saf - the MN mafia will be after you you know!

Mittz hope it's not a full blown migraine - have something really sugary, that always helps me.

And according to the scales this morning, I have lost 2 pounds.

Right, thanks for your reassurances - I'm going in.

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/06/2010 09:43

Rest up mittz. It might just be the not sleeping that causes the migraine. Hope you feel better soon.

SAF - pastry is not too bad. What is awful is toy stuffing.

Alice - good excuse for being restful.

I am tired and want to go to bed i think this heat is about to kill me. So hoping rink is open tonight.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 25/06/2010 09:49

Just come on to tell Shiney that she is in the Daily Mail.

Well not really but the headline about some band at Glasto was "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" and it made me think of her. I have decided I spend too much time on mumsnet, between this and informing my DH when a car reg has the same letters as the shortening of someones nickname there really is no hope for me...

Well done Junior! Blood tests really are fine in most cases, but the anticipation can be horrid.

Well done Junior!

I haven't been to a fancy dress party for ages - we had one summer where there was one every other weekend, or it seemed like it

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/06/2010 10:56

I'm back.

DC have perfect teeth, I have to go back in 2 weeks for 3 fillings, possibly more depending on the x-ray results. [phew]

The worst thing was trying to fill in all the paperwork while trying to control DS running around like a loon and DD determined to make a break for the stairs.

Dentist was very nice, think she was a bit after getting the third degree from DS.

'What's that for?', 'Why does that light up?' 'What are you doing with that?' 'What are these for?'

Jet - Yay for mini.

jetcat · 25/06/2010 11:00

ooh i love fancy dress! Each New Year, foster parents and their entire family hire out a huge caravan park and stay for a few days. New Years Eve, they all have a theme and every single person has to dress up. There are some such fabulous costumes -even though i have only been once

I will pass on your congrats to Junior, many thanks It is the plasters with the numbing cream she is actually really bad with (hypsersensitive so struggles with removing the plaster) so we managed to persuade her to have to test without the cream. First time ever I just hope they dont need another one, as they are doing a full blood count with glucose or something and nurse thinks maybe it should have been a fasting test, but fingers crossed all is ok!

Next stop - my baby goes on the pill

trilliAnasTra · 25/06/2010 11:02

That's so funny Jet, I would have never put you down for fancy dress! You dark horse

Fingers crossed the pill will work wonders for her if she is having trouble with her periods at the moment - modern medicine can be a wonderufl thing.

Mouseface · 25/06/2010 11:26

Morning, tis me, Mouseface.

Double - I'll have your warm, chocolate brown eyes please, they're truly lovely. And how are you hungover? What were you drinking last night? I'm glad you're friend is getting rid of CF, he's showing his true colours, no??

Bitter - Good luck at the dentist. Oh, wait, you're back!! Well done for going, sorry about the fillings.....

at ABF and the thought of Shiney being in the dail mail of all papers. Can you imagine th uproar from MNers if she really was!!

Jet - So pleased junior was okay today. I was thinking of her this morning. And going on the pill makes her seem so grown up! I have all of this to come!

Morning Trills, Alice, DEM and SAF oh, and everyone else I've missed. Hope you are all ok

I've just bought some new FitFlops in lipstick red!! Yay for red this summer, tis my favourite colour this year.

I'm in agony due to the bloody physio yesterday. DS has just puked everywhere, brought half his feed back but I couldn't get to him in time due to the pain. And that's after we sent the camera back yesterday! Typical.

It's a waiting game now to see what the powers that be want to do...........

trilliAnasTra · 25/06/2010 11:29

Oooh, tell me about fitflops Mouse! I read an article in the Times about them on the train to Manchester and now I want some. It was mostly an article sayng 'what's the big deal?' but it still made me want them. Anywhere around that I can get them cheap? Do the sizes come up big or small?
