Just been on chat and found this -

common things that are creeping onto mn

(there are 480posts at last count)

'By trefusis Sat 19-Jun-10 17:59:03

The expression "om nom nom" makes my flesh creep, but I'm not sure how recent an arrival it is.'

Apparently, someone hates 'peeps' too so I'm sorry to say I shall no longer be saying "night you lovely shiney peeps"

Yeah right!! Peeps, peeps, peeps, peeps, peeps, peeps

What's going on? Do we now have to deal with the word police or what..........

Alicetheinvisible · 21/06/2010 14:58

Oh, yes, they also mentioned Squee and that Trills often says it. I wonder who icooed is?

DidEinsteinsMum · 21/06/2010 15:02

Mouseface · 21/06/2010 15:44

Did you see it all got a bit heated around page 14? They were trying to get the OP to out herself after name changing.....

Hilarious.

How you feeling in this heat Alice?

DidEinsteinsMum · 21/06/2010 15:53

its too sodding hot. i want to go hide out in -10C temp but cant due to being sensible in prep for tomo

Actually i think i might want to just go curl up and go to sleep. i am shattered.
Roll on bedtime.

back to the research...

Alicetheinvisible · 21/06/2010 15:56

I'm afraid i read the first couple of pages and the last page.

Heat not too bad tbh. I am enjoying the air con in DH's new car though Was setting up some electric fencing over lunchtime and despite feeling a bit hot, it felt nice to be getting some sun on my skin and to be doing something vaguely normal It seems that very sudden movements seem to set off contractions, but just general slow moving stuff is ok. Now 33wks so feeling quite optimistic(sp?) over the whole thing. Bag is packed though

Mouseface · 21/06/2010 16:10

Aww - I'm glad you're feeling optimistic. I'm so broody for you, you know I'll be driving you mad over the next 7 weeks!!!!

You feeling better? How's DS?

DidEinsteinsMum · 21/06/2010 16:31

Mouse I am ok apart from the fact that 1. it is hot and i am an ice queen 2. I have been doing too much again 3. Ds is very hard work 4. I have not been sleeping well 5. I have been eating too much rubbish and trying not to eat so badly today.
Nothing wrong that a good night sleep wont cure.

Tomo I have an interview so want to make sure that i have some sensible questions and things ready. SO just researching the company and the situation really. Getting all preped to wow them. Once the theory prep is done I am having a soak in the bath. tonight is ds' bath night off. SO i will have the hot water for a soak.

TrillianAstra · 21/06/2010 16:32

I got mentioned? Really? How fantastic. Especially because I am so unsqueaky.

BitOfFun · 21/06/2010 16:33

Hi all- have just got off phone with our glorious leader and she is having mumsnet-keeps-crashing issues which I said I'd mention so you don't think we've been abandoned. My laptap hates this thread once it gets past 500 posts, so I often have to bow out early- but computer man is going to come and fix it soon, yay! How are we all?

DidEinsteinsMum · 21/06/2010 16:35

various states of functioning Bof. How are you doing? walking properally yet?

Mouseface · 21/06/2010 16:38

Do you want an interview guide? Please don't think that I think you need one.......

I used to be a recruitment consultant (I know, I know but I was a faberoony one, I promise) and MrMouse has his own rec biz so has been in the game for 18 years.

Anyway, let me know if you do. Are we fb friends??? I get all confused.......

Actuall, looks like you're pretty much doing what I'd suggest.

What are you wearing? And what's the position? Tell me to sod off if you like...

Hope you get your bath and a good night!!

BitOfFun · 21/06/2010 16:39

I am much recovered, thank you! Just off to take the dog out for a run- see you all later.

TotalChaos · 21/06/2010 16:43

dem - good luck with interview

TrillianAstra · 21/06/2010 16:43

The computer man is coming to visit BoF or Shiney? Woe betide the innocent workman who goes to the SHiney abode...

Mouse can you recruit me? My job is great but I'd like to do it for half the number of hours for twice the pay, am I asking too much?
