Vinny - I have to admit I was pretty boring in the protein phase. Like SAF I had lots of oily fish (ready done), smoked salmon (!), prawns. I always had sliced chicken breast for lunch. Salmon steamed with a little lemon juice (in foil) is nice and of course a juicy steak. Very very expensive I know - but it's only for a few days.

SAF are you at the stage yet where you are getting more energy? I can't quite believe it but for the last week or so I have been so so full of energy. I don't get that lull of tiredness after lunch (as much) and I feel like I can do so much more in the day without being exhausted.

I love carbs so much and the whole point of doing this diet is so I can get to the point where I can eat them again (without putting on weight) but I'm seriously starting to wonder about restricting them for longer....I love not feeling tired all the time.

Fanny -that's crap about the bed

Bella - Kensington Gardens are lovely! I hope the sun shines for your outing there.

SHiney - do we get you for a bit if THE BOYFRIEND has gone?

We've had a lovely morning. DH was thrilled with his expresso stuff and has been filling the house with coffee aroma. And I've been like a proper italian mama! I made vat loads of bolognaise sauce (DH & I are on a mixed veg and protein day so we were able to have it without the pasta)...and then DS & I made the most yummy fairy cakes which I managed not to burn for once. DS is such an appreciative little chap. He said this was such a 'perfect day'!

I'm now about to read the papers.

hellsbelles · 20/06/2010 12:55

oh dear - just read Dem's plans - now I feel a bit lazy!

VinegarTits · 20/06/2010 13:14

BBQ sounds lovely.

Have managed not to kill ds and now bullying him into tidying up the jigsaws that he has chucked everywhere. He is being made to make them. I will bag and put away later. But it forfills brain exercise and tidying up and means that he is out from under my feet

On the other hand I have the unsorted lego mountain of doom to deal with this week.

Bella - was the concert worth getting stuck in london for? And did the boys enjoy it as you'd hoped?

Bof hope you feel a bit better soon.

bellavita · 20/06/2010 18:31

DEM - not stuck in London for long (thank goodness). Concert truly fab and the boys did enjoy it. It was great to see DS1 rocking along and singing at the top of his voice with DS2 stood on his seat so DH's height with his arm around DH's neck singing too.

As much as I hate sorting Lego it is actually quite a satisfying job when finished.

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/06/2010 18:52

I have a whole dining room table full of the stuff about 30 kits all mixed up in assorted stages of incompletion it is going to take forever to get sorted really. I have no wish to do it, but it needs doing. Might see if can get ds to help hinder the process.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 20/06/2010 18:57

Hello everyone. Hope you had a lovely weekend. I think I may be a timelord as I appear to have gone from Friday evening to Sunday night without actually stopping in the middle.

Was gonna stop and chate for a bit but the boy is crying for more milk so I'd best be off and feed poor starving overfed DS.

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/06/2010 19:23

Hello Mycat - i know that feeling. How are you doing?

Alicetheinvisible · 20/06/2010 19:48

Soooooo glad to be home, what a complete waste of a weekend

Hello lovely ladies. How has everyone been?

bellavita · 20/06/2010 19:52

Hey MyCat

We have just visited the Colonel at Leicester Forest Svs, I feel a fat pig now but I did enjoy it! Back to healthy eating tomorrow. Have done quite well this weekend - hardly any slip ups.
