Sorry not been shopping yet so we only have some Rich Tea biscuits

Just sticking my head before nursery/Tesco run, hope everyone's recovered from theirhangovers in time for work If not there's some really good excuses on that excuses thread you could use!

bellavita · 14/06/2010 07:33

Hello

I am still tired too, but don't need to be in work till 12.00 today, so am just going to potter.

Diet starts again today and am having yogga brekka, home roasted ham salad for lunch with chicken wrapped in pancetta and basil on a bed of roasted squash and shallots with a helping of roast tomatoes on the side for tea.

How are we all?

You are more than welcome Norma

Double what is MIA? I know what you mean about the schools and money, DS2's is always asking and I get pretty hacked off with it.

TotalChaos · 14/06/2010 08:08

Mia is, missing in action, bella. Gosh that's worrying I2D, I hope it's just doggy hormones/grass is greener and he turns up safe nad in for a bollocking.

DS' school isn't bad re:amounts, but tends to be piss poor in terms of short notice. Going to be a big brave girl today - take DS to the doctors as he has so many upset stomachs that although he's an eminently healthy speciment it just doesn't feel right - am insisting DH comes with so I don't get dismissed as neurotic mother (have had problems with HV in past).

yank - I don't get people confiding about their sex life to me, but I do (or did) look approachable - I always used to get asked by blokes if I knew where the gay clubs were in town , or occasionally invited to the pub by random blokes....

re:ex - glad that he's doing so much better, and that despite the past adversity has given you a kind of friendship again. parents might want to push for an OT assessment as part of social worker stuff, make sure he's safe in the kitchen etc.

TotalChaos · 14/06/2010 08:18

I2D - yes it is shocking all your hidden costs in ROI - evidently what you get with your lower corporation tax rate - and it's only on MN that we on the mainland find out about such things - I remember being shocked by someone posting on here about paying for GP.

"an extra cocktail in at the wine bar at lunchtime" - Bella may look lovely and innocent...but I think that should have read "3 extra cocktails at lunchtime"

DIB - you can't lose 6lbs more. That would be daft and you would look too skinny.

Better go do some housework and then I'll do a catch up!

DreamsInBinary · 14/06/2010 08:50

Ugh - I feel (that's nauseous btw)

I was so ill yesterday that I couldn't eat. So a very effective healthy eating meet

Back in work now. Boo.

TrillianAstra · 14/06/2010 08:53

Manchester is full of girls in spray-on dresses, did we mention this? Shame most of the men weren't as aesthetically pleasing.

DreamsInBinary · 14/06/2010 08:54

Oh, and I'm skipping my WW meet tonight. My standard loss of 0.25 lb is embarressing enough, but I suspect I've gained this week...

Dukan on order so will be back on track by next week and can eat what I want until it arrives

TotalChaos · 14/06/2010 08:54

saf - other ideas re:vol work - not sure what's travellable for you though, you live in the sticks a bit IIRC - local hospital, advocacy for people with LDs/mental health difficulties, surestart/children's centres. charity shop might be worth considering too, on basis that you can at least be v strict with hours with them around childcare - eg so if you are available 2 hours on a wed then that's that, take it or leave it, iyswim

DreamsInBinary · 14/06/2010 08:55

Embarressing? Embarrassing? Embarassing?

TrillianAstra · 14/06/2010 08:55

Haha DIB, I was so hungover that I couldn't stop eating.

TotalChaos · 14/06/2010 08:57

snigger at skiving WW, DIB, is the leader all Marjorie off Little Britain?

DreamsInBinary · 14/06/2010 08:58

She's absurdly upbeat, TC. And very kind. But I do sit there and think "Dust - there are no calories in dust"
