Had crap nights sleep and feel achey and knackered. Despite going to bed early and DS2 not waking until 6.15am (bad, but better). Lots of wierd dreams

DH has taken boys out so I can do some work.

Sorry had to go momentarily awol due to time limit on one of my to do list items this morning. Done and emailed less then 5 mins before deadline. Not sure whether it will get there on time or where it is worth it getting there. but will have to see what happens. Need to get some more stuff done later but just being for a little bit.

Just got a letter from the bastarding DVLA (must be a miserable place to work) to say that my car that the mechanic bought off me for a pittance in Dec hadn't had the correct forms sent off wrt change of ownership. I naively believed him when he said he would sort it all. Anyways, i got fined £55, £35 if paid by.... So have just parted with £35 that i could of spent on shoes important baby stuff.

Yes and no to resting. I am taking things slowly, but starting to do a bit more, for my mental state more than anything else really.

DD is still a bit grumpy, but i am trying very hard to be a good non shouty mum today as quite honestly i have been horrid to her over the weekend (us both feeling a bit crap and having to stay cooped up in the house with just each other for company) I had a good empty of the toy box this morning to unearth toys thaat were lurking at the bottom and despite the mess it has been a good move.

Alice this is my current project which i hope to have done this week so i can wear it on the 12th. Got so many projects that i have bought patterns and materials for that i need to work my way through getting them done. Just so that i have less in storage when i move.

I am going to attempt a mock up roman blind this week I really want to get it done, but scared of starting because it is scary and technical looking!

Actually it about sums it up. HAvent seen psycho child this morning, but the angel has just gone on holiday. Sometimes its like he is too different people. reality is that he is a very bright little boy who's emotional development lags behind his intellectual development. The conflict in development is what causes the problems. patience and lots of the same battles. I have been looked after and the supported the last few days. I am boy free for a few days and then I am hopefully on holiday with him. I am hoping we have managed to settle him a bit again. Glad it is a two week holiday so we get a chance to enjoy him being settled before he goes back to school. Looking forward to the summer holidays. Even if I only have him for half of it, and there will hopefully be major change in the form of moving.

Where did you get your pattern for the roman blind Alice? It will be fine if you take it steady and slow. I am adding a lining to the bust area so that i don't have to worry about the fact the material i have chosen which is a little transparent. Which means tampering with the pattern. so a little nervous with that and altering the cut of the bust.

ULAQ - I'm so relieved you got some respite this morning and got to see him leave in Angel mode. Here's hoping there is some consistency in this mood and your holiday is a joy for both of you.

We've got an extra day off but are feeling ridiculously grumpy about the weather. I need a 'sun booth' that I can step in and get a dose of sunshine from.

I'm waiting for a call from my nanny today to see how she got on at her Consultant appointment. I have mixed feelings really...it has been such a treat to spend so much time with DD (usually I work 2-3 days a week). However I know this can't go on forever - I need to work.

Alice....you are coping so well - shouty when cooped up is very very normal.

I usually find that when we do a toy sort out - the ones that haven't been played with for over a year (and are ready to go to charity)...suddenly become flavour of the week!

ULAQ - i am very jealous of your sewing ability. I am stupidly outsize so find it very difficult to find things that fit. I keep saying that i would love to be able to make my own clothes so that they would fit for a change.

Spent all weekend at what seemed to be oine big BBQ. it was my dad's 50th on saturday and mum and dads 29th wedding anniversary on sunday so we had a bg family BBQ. nothing fancy, just lots of people descending at their house.
it was great. I ate and drank far too much but really enjoyed myself so who cares.

I haven't caught up yet- feeling really tired and grotty today after taking my tablets yesterday, which is par for the course, apparently. I am off for a lie-down and to avoid the out-laws who are coming to pick up my lovely dd1 for three days , so I will have the horror child by myself this week...need to recharge my batteries.
