All over for another year. Hurrah. And actually not so painful this time. I really tried to relax as i'm sure i normally tense up and was fine. SAF, i had a colposcopy 10 years ago, so would have hoped to dispense with yearly visits. Appears not, although i guess they are a good thing for prevention

Alice, i have a deep red bedroom, but if i lived in a victorian house i would go for a duck egg blue or light sage green. Very relaxing colours and very pretty accessories. Our bedroom is deep red

Bella, do you make your own cajun chicken?

CrispyTheCrisp · 25/05/2010 10:27

D'oh, repeating myself, must be getting old

LOL @ cunter

Lizzylou · 25/05/2010 10:32

Have had a hellish morning, got boys all suncreamed up, only for DS2 to get some in his eyes.
He screamed from 8.30am to 9.20am, I had to wait with him at preschool for ages as he wouldn't let me go. I bathed his eyes, cuddled him, let him blow raspberries on my neck. There was nothing in his eyes after about 10mins am sure.

Alice, if you like pinky colours, how about something muted like
This one

Or this

I like this one, with all white wood/accessories
Here

counter

For a real laugh see my fb status, I asked my friends last night if they'd give me an internal because I didn't want to go to the drs!!!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/05/2010 10:35

LOL @ 'Golden Lay on the cunter'

Crispy, those colours are what I would have all over my house if I could.

My kitchen is nearly that blue and my hall is that green.

Glad it's over for another year.

Saf, that's what I'm hoping, my metabolism will speed up and fat will melt away - bring on the bikini

(I never even wore a bikini when I was a tiny 17 year old, so I don't think I will ever wear one.)

Lizzy - those are the sort of colours i think we were thinking of, as our bedroom furniture is white, bedding is white, black cast iron fireplace and light pine door, mantlepiece and wardrobe doors (inbuilt wardrobe)

Alicetheinvisible · 25/05/2010 10:53

Crispy - hadn't realised yours were links! The blue is very similar to what the sitting room was before we painted it, but was a bit too wishy washy for the room iyswim? The green is almost identical to what we are having for the wood pannelling in the bathroom.

wastingaway · 25/05/2010 11:06

I like this one.
I actually want to find a paint exactly the colour of Germolene.

TBH, any of their colours are gorgeous.

Lizzylou · 25/05/2010 11:08

OOh Alice that will look lovely then.
I love older houses, wish we'd never got a newbuild sometimes.

The La Redoute Maxi skirt has arrived (well the white one anyway), it not really white, more off-white and is not great quality but will look great with a few lbs off, for the price I am pleased.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/05/2010 11:10

@ germolene.

Saf, I suppose you are right, I look back now at photos from when I was a teen and wonder why I was so self concious!

Guess I may do the same in ten years time if I look at photos from now, not that many exist

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/05/2010 11:11

Lizzy, I'd love an older house too, but we are stuck in our 1970's end of terrace.

Alicetheinvisible · 25/05/2010 11:16

Love that colour Wasting! Ointment Love germoline too.

Older houses are good but you always feel you should be doing something to them, and sometimes the thought of a new build with straight walls and purpose built rooms is quite tempting!

Have just had the baby's crib delivered. Good old Boots, only ordered it Sunday

I haven't stopped eating this morning

CrispyTheCrisp · 25/05/2010 11:18

Sorry Alice i didn't spot you already had those colours going on

Love Lizzy's colours but >boak> at germolene. The cream that is!

Bitter - i wear a bikini and did when i was a size 16 too. CBA with what others think and also i don't have to see it

Our house was built in 1750 so we can go with the 'older' colours but it actually needs creams as it needs extra help with light and the red in our room works to warm it up as it is very cold being half submerged. Maybe i will be braver with our next redecoration

Lizzylou · 25/05/2010 11:30

I bloody love germolene, the smell that is. I used to cover myself in it as a kid.

Alice, that is exactly how we ended up in a nebuild, we got a bit fed up of wonky floors/walls etc and needed a garden, anything similar to our old house (largeish Victorian end of terrace) not on a main road and with a garden was £££££s. So newbuild it is

DeFluffy · 25/05/2010 11:34

oooo loving the Farrow and Ball especially that pink wasting.

We have duck egg blue laura ashley in the dining room, very nice. We've also got just the chimney breast papered in each room too, living room is a sort of creamy pinky plaster colour but am changing it shortly to more whitey cream as I'm painting the mantlepiece cream. On that note should that be matte or silk?

Our bedroom is really white with a hint of blue and with very light blue wallpaper on the chimney breast. Needs repainting though.

sooooo, have had many comments re skintone of dd2. She's quite olive I suppose.

At party on sat, can't remember if i mentioned this before, someone asked me if i'd been sunbathing her like yup, never too young to sunbathe at 4 months!!!!!

anyway, then about 4 other groups of people there commented on her 'heritage' and skin tone. I just laughed it off but actually i'm getting a bit freaked out as i think is dp.

we know exactly what date dd2 was conceived on, he and i know ive slept with 2 people in 11 years, exh for 7 years, dp for the next 4. not even kissed anyone else in the 11 years at all ever. but its starting to get a little upsetting that people are implying that she's not white. Not because I give a shit about colour, I don't, but because as dp and i are white, that would mean i'd cheated and shes not his!

What do you think looking at the photos??

Will take them off very shortly, everyone can see them on my fb and dont want to out myself too much on here
