jetcat · 18/05/2010 20:32

Goober

Have a lovely time, it sounds like a lovely place!

How are you Bella?

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 18/05/2010 20:33

Well, when I told my very best friend about it, she said jokingly 'it wasn't in a * fag packet was it? I got my buggy wheels caught in one yesterday coming out of your playground'. I said, truthfully, I didn't know but that I thought DH had found it in the road, not by the playground. Turns out it was that brand, and it was by the playground. If we get the money back, I couldn't in all conscience not share it with her, as she only missed out because she didn't look twice at the packet and I love her and she has no money either! DH suggested that the four of us all go out for a slap-up meal if we do get it back, and I think it's a fantastic idea!

bellavita · 18/05/2010 20:34

Am good thanks jet, and you?

YanknCock · 18/05/2010 20:34

Sorry for long update, I'm reading thread now for all of your news!

DS still wheezy but in a much better mood today. Nursery reports he slept most of the afternoon and wasn't quite his normal energetic self, but he was ok. He had such an explosive poo at nursery that his keyworker had to go home to get changed. Then while I was at the hospital DH phoned to say DS had had another explosion all over his baby bouncer and the floor and was bouncing in it

But on the bright side, DH handled it all quite capably without me and DS was bathed and floor cleaned when I got home!

I have had McDonalds not once, but twice today It was disgusting and not worth it both times. I can't hear a damn thing out of my right ear. Meeting with boss was also with big boss who stared me down and scared me quite a bit. Tried to make me feel guilty about using 'carer's leave' which we get 10 paid days a year-- 'well I never used it but of course you're entitled to it...' Got a grilling about 'are you ready to be back at work' and 'the next six months is very important' ...which I know, I'm worried too, but I can do fuck all about him getting sick. I've been sick myself almost this whole time, and have dragged myself in, sometimes even on public transport taking 2.5 hours each way....you'd think I'd proven I AM TRYING FFS. And of course I cried in front of them because I was so upset about XH this morning, I am ok as long as I don't have to talk about it to anyone! Was trying to explain why my phone was going off every 5 seconds and I was so twitchy.

XH was supposed to be woken up today but neurosurgeon was busy all day so the scan didn't get done. So they will try tomorrow. Good news is he is getting more responsive and is moving around a bit (but not awake, still sedated). I stopped at hospital after work to drop off some messages XH's friends had sent through email/text/facebook and talked to his dad.

jetcat · 18/05/2010 20:40

MrsWobble - that sounds like a lovely idea

Am fine thanks Bella, pretty good actually Not sure why, just a good couple of days. Have even bought myself some of that sun kissed moisturiser stuff and used it - though a tad worried i will wake up tomorrow an odd colour

Yank, good to see you, and good that DS is a little better. Wow at the keyworker having to go home to get changed - must have been a good poo

Try not to worry too much about work - like they say, you are entitled to leave, and its not like you are taking time off for the sake of it. I know its easier said than done though Did you get my message about our meet?

Lizzylou · 18/05/2010 20:41

Oh Yank, so what was the outcome to the meeting at work?
I hope exh is OK.

But had to at explosive poo and Keyworker having to go home to get changed, have had the same happen to me with my boys.

MrsW, that is a lovely idea

OMG!!!

Just randomly looked up this bloke on FB who I went out with for a year when I was 14. Didn't sleep together or anything but we did love eachother a lot.

OMFG has he turned into a fucking gorgeous man!???!!! Just got a real jolt when I saw his photo and realised it was him!

Goober · 18/05/2010 20:50

Step away from the FB MrsW!!

We are very excited, all threats of BA strikes and ash clouds gone. Tomorrow I am getting teeth polished, Thursday am going for a full waxing. OWWWW!

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 18/05/2010 20:51

Goober. Don't worry, although he is single, his wall (which is public) does not suggest to me that he is in any way my sort of man! But he looks like a bloody filmstar!

bellavita · 18/05/2010 20:56

Yank, at the work meeting is over! You are entitled to use the days, why do they have to make you feel so damned guilty . Glad DS is perking up, but I had to at the explosive poos. Fingers crossed for xh tomorrow xx

jet, which stuff did you buy? I was looking at the Dove and Johnson's ones today and didn't know which one to get.

Sooo tomorrow DS2 will go to PILs as normal.
He feels fine, he has scabbed over but a change of scenery would be great for him.

Sooo I am going to declutter and clean this house from top to toe. Sort out my wardrobe and the boys stuff as well.
Then gym.

Is that bad? I could work, but I sort of want business partner to have to cope, I have been doing adminny stuff all evening, today I had to drive (with poor poxy DS2) 1.5hrs round trip to deliver laptop to him, even though he knew Ds2 was poorly.
He is also away for a week in a week's time and this house is a tip and we have too much stuff. It's getting on my tits.

So that's what I will do.

If you have toddler boys, get your orders in for clothes now (disclaimer, some clothes will have gone through 2 boys!).

Sorry for being all moody earlier, am just frustrated and need to sort some things out. And it is such a downer when you've worked your arse off exercising to see a 5lb, yes, you read that right, 5lb gain

But, you are all so fab and I feel more proactive and positive tonight. I am drinking wine though...

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 18/05/2010 21:09

Don't worry, ladies. I am far too smugly happily married to want to pursue single old flames from my teens!

Instructions - shall I send you a link to his FB page? He lives in southamption and is a footballer.

Lizzy - 5lbs on???

jetcat · 18/05/2010 21:11

lizzy - not bad at all When i had been exercising madly and not lost a thing, the nurse practitioner confirmed the rumour for me - that if you are gaining muscle, it will weigh more. Have you measured yourself - that tends to be more reliable when exercising (according to said practice nurse)

Lizzylou · 18/05/2010 21:11

Yep MrsW, on a very small amount of food and exercising like a bastard. Then I realised why, AF came, I do retain water and hadn't used Aquaban as AF wasn't due until next week, usually a Thursday.

So I wept.

But, hey, onwards and upwards!

Trills/Goober, hope your flights stay on!

Alice, sorry you're stuck on the sofa and had a bad tummy night. Now stop biting your nails please....

Lizzy, glad DS2 seems better, and wishing you better too. Don't worry about the weight, probably just water retention, you can retain up to 5lbs (I'm sure I read that somewhere). Sorry things are going badly with business partner, hope you can find a solution.

Defluff, how did it go today?

Bitter, that's so difficult, nothing harder than to get someone else to take care of themselves. Hope you can convince your DH to make one more go at seeing the GP.

Mitts/Lizzy, I have that same feeling of being 'stuck' career-wise. I am not at all in the place I thought I'd be at this age and after so much education.

DI, hope you have a great trip over here! Good luck sorting out your hair.

Mitts, ouch for infected tushy pox!

SAF, housing situation sounds like a mess, hope you can get sorted soon.

Vinny, hope the specialist sorts you out

hells, somehow I'd missed all that history, how awful for you....and being on bedrest without MN! However did you cope?

Norma how'd the rest of your day go? I think the key when you overeat is to keep doing the points...you can at least minimize the damage rather than figure 'fuck it' and eat whatever the rest of the day (as I apparently have done today )

wasting, I have meat slabs for arms, they are the biggest bingo wings ever. I like the idea of making people feel better by exposing them...

jet, you should definitely have the glasses. £60 is not a lot to spend on frames that make you feel good, and it is something you will wear every single day, so you have to like them a lot!

DEM, wow, definitely impressed by builders!

bella, putting good food in the bin is too sad. If I could do it I would be a lot skinnier.

MrsWobble, fingers crossed you keep the windfall, nice of you to share with your friend!
