I was pissed off tbh, have stuck to every point this week, done masses of exercise & yet when I did a sneaky weigh in this morning I'd gained a pound with absolutely no explanation for it, so I rebelled

I'm a plank.

I have 3.5 points left after that to last me the day now

Afternoon.

Walked to town and carried heavy shopping back.
Fulfilled social obligations by making all the non-really-fatties feel better with the sight of my dimply arms wobbling about as it was too warm for my jacket.

SAF, what a bloody mess! No wonder you feel so trapped.

Alice, hope you're enjoying Cbeebies, will test you on lyrics later to make sure you've been sitting down.

Wow Hells, that sounds very stressful. It's amazing what we put ourselves through for these little munchkins.

Lizzy, bless ya. Can you persuade him to become more of a silent partner?

Norma, that sounds very disheartening. Can you fit some exercise in today to earn some points back?

I'm going to attempt some gardening now.

Alicetheinvisible · 18/05/2010 15:43

Norma - is it possible that your body is hanging onto weight/water? Are you eating enough/ drinking enough?

Wasting - luckily i got a couple of decent books out of the library the other day, not going completely mad!

wastingaway · 18/05/2010 15:50

Oh good Alice. I forgot to grab my book before DS fell asleep on me yesterday.
I think after all these years I am finally fed up of Diagnosis Murder.

Not much gardening, but progress has been made, finally.

jetcat · 18/05/2010 15:58

at your social obligation wasting - i am sure you looked just fine

Norma - just 12?? I am hopeless for jaffa cakes, have been known to eat an entire double box in one go Tomorrow is another day and all that - dont dwell on todays mishaps That goes for everyone!

Alice, hope you are feeling a little better

Sorry, i have probably missed loads of people out - all i can remember to say is Lizzy - you are so not a moaning old cow

I have a new dilemma. Just been for eye test, and as suspected, eyes have got a fair bit worse, so new glasses are needed. I do get free lenses and so much for the frames, but the totally freebie ones are a bit meh. So, i tried some lovely ones on that are £60. £60 Now, its not that i cant find the money, as by next week i can. Its more that i am struggling to justify spending that much money on something i can technically get for free[sad I have spent that much and more for juniors glasses, as she has a complicated prescription (nowts ever simple with that girl) but i cant remember ever spending that much on just me. Ever. For clothes, shoes, hair etc. I dont think we are desparate for anything else, though the kids could always do with new shoes/clothes etc. Need things for house but again, that is not desparate. A catalogue order that i had to get when i first moved in here (washing machine, wardrobe, hoover etc) will be paid off next week. So why dont i feel i am worth spending the bloomin money on

Alicetheinvisible · 18/05/2010 16:02

Jet - TKmaxx have some nice frames, or Asda i believe is where my sis got hers from.

jetcat · 18/05/2010 16:05

thanks Alice. Do they make up a prescription with them - or would i just buy the frames? All these years getting glasses for junior and now mini - we have always got them with the eye hospital/opticvian - apart from her prescription swimming goggles

Alicetheinvisible · 18/05/2010 16:11

I think some Asda's have an opticians section. I assume you buy the frames then take them in and ask them to fit your lenses. Check with them first though. You don't need to mention the cost is putting you off, just that you don't really see yourself in any of their ones.

Hello {smile] placemarking for later when I will feel appalling about the junk I've been eating lately...

wastingaway · 18/05/2010 16:55

Jet, I think glasses are important, especially if you wear them all the time. Get ones you like.

Instructions, have you used the same dye as before?

Hi Shiney.

jetcat · 18/05/2010 16:56
