Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

OP posts:
bellavita · 03/05/2010 09:29

Coffee for me Norma please

Sorry about the weight gain Tracey, but no doubt you will get it off this week.

Yay for all the sleeping babies.

Well done you Chaos!

Have just got up and the weather is bloody crap again...

0% Total yog and strawbs for brekka, the boys have had homemade scones with homemade blackberry & apple jam

VinegarTits · 03/05/2010 09:34

it is really sunny here but bloody cold, i have just put the heating on

my children dont sleep they go into a coma, bombs and earthquakes wouldnt wake my 2 once they are gone

Alicetheinvisible · 03/05/2010 09:34

My milk only completely dried up once i got pg this time, but back to leaking again now - fun!

Not dressed, but have made a cup of tea and resisted the biscuit tin

hellsbelles · 03/05/2010 09:36

Tracey - from everything you've said it's bound to be AF...so no strict diet needed at all (maybe lay off the courgette cupcakes for a little )

at Mitts and her magic nipples.

Well the weather is still here and we are trying to decide whether to leave at lunchtime but will probably stay in the vain hope that some decent weather will appear!

bellavita · 03/05/2010 09:43

We have been lucky with our boys, they have always slept through noise even from being little.

Hells, how far are you away from home?

I am not dressed either!

traceybath · 03/05/2010 09:48

Talking of bf - bea bit me on both sides yesterday - very sore.

As soon as we're back from holiday I'm stopping - she'll be nearly 11 months then and thats enough for me.

Yes, must indeed stop the courgette cupcakes - I think I need to cut back on sugar generally really.

And diet coke which I know is evil but I am seriously addicted to.

bellavita · 03/05/2010 09:53

I rarely have fizzy drinks (only slimline tonic in the gin), but then I have loads of coffee - which is probably worse!

Alicetheinvisible · 03/05/2010 09:54

Tracey - did you see Getorf's post last week? Apparently she lost 4lbs in a week from just stopping the diet coke!

Lizzylou · 03/05/2010 09:54

Morning all, aching all over from painting yesterday, we finished at 11pm!
It would have been earlier if it was up to me, but I am more slapdash than DH

So, DH is doing next coat, I have chosen a TV and am working on how to say I want new furniture in the lounge and a new dining table....

Think that may be a step to far and I am not sure that DH's bonus is the neverending magic pot of money that I am dreaming it is.

IT feels nice to be doing something to the house though, unless you count the insurance job we've done nothing for the 5 years we've live here. Mainly down to having marauding boy children.

So how is everyone this fine Bank Holiday Monday?
Bitter, that is a bugger you have to work.
Oh, no tattoos, very nearly did but couldn't find style/design I liked and realised I was being a sheep, didn't really want one, did have 4 holes in 1 ear and 3 in the other. I used to pierce all my friend's ears when we were drunk

traceybath · 03/05/2010 09:58

I did Alice but tend to just put my fingers in my ears when diet coke is mentioned.

Think once I've used up whats in the house I'm going to stop buying it - hey, I could use my diet coke money for clothes and lig gloss!

When are you due Alice and do you have a name yet?

bellavita · 03/05/2010 10:00

Lizzy, if you are buying a new tv, you definitely need new furniture... Need to make it sound like DH's idea though!

DH has just got to do some more glossing on the woodwork in the shower room and then it is finished.

The front garage door and front door to the house desperately needs doing - I would prefer to get someone in to do it and save time, but DH is insisting it is a bank holiday job.. yeah right, it always bloody rains on a bank holiday (like it is now) and he still has the other job to finish.

I think DH is taking the boys to see Iron Man today (whilst I do some mning jobs around the house).

Gosh I used to be addicted to diet coke but read all sorts of horrid stuff about it so haven't had it for years. Our DEM drinks pint loads of it too doesn't she?

Bella - about an hour and half drive. But suspect longer because of bank holiday traffic. We are have decided to stick it out and leave at DD's bedtime (7ish) so we are just being lazy now and will go get some food for teh day when she wakes up from her nap.

Lizzy - well done. It's so gratifying to do a big project like that.

And congrats to everyone that got a good nights sleep!

bellavita · 03/05/2010 10:07

Are you back at work tomorrow hells? I cannot remember if you work full or part-time.

I try not to drink coffee after 6.00pm.

hellsbelles · 03/05/2010 10:12

yup! I do 3 days a week at the moment...so it's back to work. That's the thing. We won't get back till lateish so I won't have time to get everything ready for morning (which I usually do - as I'm so disorganised and grumpy in the mornings it's my only way of coping!!)

Right - have to go. Catch you all later.

bellavita · 03/05/2010 10:17

Ooh, I like to be organised the night before too with clothes for work etc and even when DS1 was a baby and I went back to work, everything was done the night before.

I am going to get my arse in gear and get ready.

probably OK SaF....Painful I know but it is when you stub your toe. One of those things that makes me swear cry.

Alicetheinvisible · 03/05/2010 10:25

Tracey - I have 14weeks left exactly! We had three names that we like for the first name Frederick (Fred) Henry or Edward (Ted), atm, it is looking like Frederick Charles (both family names)

SAF - i usually see if DD is ok after some chocolate. If chocolate makes it better then all is fine!

We have recently heard that we are due to get some inheritance very shortly (a property had to be sold) so are going to get a new bathroom, and the rest of the house painted. Very excited!

Lizzylou · 03/05/2010 10:30

OOh Alice, how exciting!
Your last 3mths and a newly decorated house

SAF, we have a really good independant furniture shop locally, what about Ikea or even a DFS/CSL they are all discounting stuff like mad at the moment. If you have a local shop though you may find it is cheaper, ours was, and v good quality.

Fluffyvacuity · 03/05/2010 10:49
