Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

Morning

Had a biscuit with my tablets but no breakfast. Tea and a coffee and a pint of water.
I actually slept well last night. Very dopey still.

So morning all xx

DoughnutsHaveRightsToo · 03/05/2010 08:39

DoughnutsHaveRightsToo · 03/05/2010 08:40

SAF - could you FB me the details, may be interested. Used a hand pump last time for expressing, and as DD was only on expressed milk and formula (not BF) it was quite hard work!

My two were both 'reluctant feeders' (all changed now though ) and i expressed and topped up for the first few weeks with both. I carried on expressing as i was used to it and helpful if i went out etc. Would have struggled lots without my electric (Avent) pump

Alicetheinvisible · 03/05/2010 09:01

Hehe, my problem i think was that DD was born by emcs so was quite stuffed up, and my milk came out so fast she would choke

traceybath · 03/05/2010 09:02

Morning.

Bella - so glad your cake went well and they liked it.

Fanny - you are a good person - lets hope bil learns his lesson and pays you back presto pronto.

Have put on 2lbs!!! Do you think it has anything to do with curry, cake, roast beef and rice pudding?

So am on strict diet this week.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 03/05/2010 09:05

Morning all

Looks like I missed a good night with all this tattoo and piercing speak!

For the record, I have one small tattoo on my ankle, two piercings in each ear in one in my nose.

Never wear anything in any of the piercings though and rarely wear a skirt, so you wouldn't know

Yank, poor ds and his sticky eyes

Sounds like everyone got a good nights sleep though

Got to go to work in a bit, it's going to be hell.

Saf, stay away or I will get into an argument with you over dodgy pricing labels

Hope everyone has a nice Bank Holiday

Alicetheinvisible · 03/05/2010 09:06

Tracey - i don't know that a strict diet is neccessary, just lay off the curry, cake, roast and rice pudding

SAF - if i knew i would have the same problem this time i would get an expensive medela or something, but i don't want to spend best part of £100 on something i may not need iyswim? Our children's centre loans them out, but would rather have one there if i needed it, when i needed it.

TotalChaos · 03/05/2010 09:07

Morning ladies! Do naked early morning weigh ins count? If so, I'm now under 13stone for the first time in nearly 3 years!

Fanny - Grrrr at BIL and the impact on your life. SOunds like your ma is a star though

breastfeeding was a bit of a saga - DS wasn't a good feeder either on breast or bottle - ended up back in hospital at 2.5 weeks jaundiced and dehydrated, so I jacked in the bfing as I rather lost confidence. It would take him an hour to drain a bottle, I spent my life feeding even with bottle.

Lovely SAF

MitsubishiWarrioress · 03/05/2010 09:12

I was exceedingly blessed with both births and BFing, but weirdly despite the fact that DD is 7 my BM only really dried up about 18mnths / 2yrs ago.

I still giggle that nipples have several holes and provide much entertainment in the bath .

I like the word 'nipples'.

I am going to have a long soak in the bath with my new smellies.

Glad some folk got decent sleep. Doesn't the world seem like a better place when you do?

Bubbles and xx's for now

MitsubishiWarrioress · 03/05/2010 09:14

Oh and piercings and tattoos..4 tattoos, 1 I designed myself, and nose, ear and nipple piercings. I love my nipple piercing . Had it done to celebrate being 40.....

LOL @ 'nipple' loving Mitts

I found expressing oddly rewarding, especially when the multijets started up

The ONLY way to weigh is first thing and naked. Well, in this house anyway

Tracey, as someone who can put on 6lbs over a weekend I am SURE the +2 will have gone by Friday
