Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 18:30

I haven't had Walls Vienetta for years!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 02/05/2010 18:32

My Nan always used to buy it in specially when we went to visit - we thought it was the height of sophistication

VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 18:40

Have washed the dishes and fed the finnster, am now on the couch wrapped in a furry throw, with the laptop some earphones and glass of wine, just about to watch 'the back up plan' online

finnster is glued to the telly

Evening all
It's all doughnuts and booze with you lot

Have made a start on decorating, well DH did and I tidied/directed.

Yank, the deal isn't as good as I thought (it is £100 off, sorry!), you have to buy certain (expensive) TVs. We are doing some research to see which would be a better deal, now my head aches with Full HD v HD Ready and HD Freeview.

Wish I'd never bloody suggested it now

Had Gnocchi with Pancetta tomatoey sauce and salad for dinner, was lovely.
Knackered.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 18:45

Lizzy, I was like that when we bought tv last Oct/Nov.

CrispyTheCrisp · 02/05/2010 18:47

DD2 forced us to go for a walk on our pyjama day . Walked to the pub (about 3 miles round trip) and fed the DC;s there. Back in PJ's again now

Lizzy, we ended up getting an HD ready TV with a freesat box as we have no terrestrial TV reception or cable TV at all. We went to John Lewis as they will always price match (on the high street) and usually give a 5yr guarantee with no quibble returns

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/05/2010 19:03

I am so proud. DS 20 months, has gone in a bed tomight for the first time, went to bed 30 mins ago, just been in to check and he is still in it and fast asleep.

Lizzy we have and LG TV wih built in freeview.

Lizzylou · 02/05/2010 19:05

Blimey Fanny, what a good boy!!!

Had forgotten John Lewis, Crispy, they have a good Sony one with built in Freeview HD, DH is pleased with the 5 yr guarantee and they give you £50 for your old TV.

Must be a Sony thing, giving you money for your old TV.

Lizzylou · 02/05/2010 19:07

I remember wishing I had night vision goggles when DS1 first went into a bed. You'd go into his room and he'd be scuttling everywhere in the dark, then you'd end up chasing him around in the dark.

Should probably just put the bloody light on

bellavita · 02/05/2010 19:11

Yay for your DS Fanny

Bath and jimmy jam time for me I think.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/05/2010 19:21

Oops, 22 months

CrispyTheCrisp · 02/05/2010 19:43

doubleinstruction can you come and help me over here please?

Lizzy ours is Sony too. We went for a separate freesat box though as these seem to have more of a propensity to go wrong than TV's

Fanny, meant to say sorry BIL is still being a twat, but hurrah for Tom's imminent arrival . We are still to brave the bed with DD2 (20 months) as she throws herself round her cot. We are thinking though of moving rooms around so her and DD1 can share as i would love to try and foster a close relationship between them. We have no local children so they will need to rely on each other to an extent.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 19:55

Well, I have bathed, ped egged my feet and put cream on them and they are now sitting comfortably in bed socks.

Thankyou. I realise i am doing that thing of, oh well if you live there you must know of Buffer Jenkins....

You are SOOOOO groomed Bella. My hair is lucky if it gets a brush through it

DoughnutsHaveRightsToo · 02/05/2010 20:10

''Yank - what have you got against a nice sugary ring? '' Laughed at that Alice...still cheeky I see

Have you a design in mind for a ring ID?

I had Chicken Korma with a Tomato Salad for tea and am having a little Magnum for pud.

I have been playing football with DS and DSS so that warrants a small treat.

I would like a small flatscreen telly for the quiet room for films but the main TV is ancient.

I hope Tom really gives you the garden of your dreams Fanny. you really deserve it

My Grandad and I used to eat half a Vienetta each. I thought it was really decadent.

BitOfFun · 02/05/2010 20:12

Hi all- I can never open these long threads, so I will see you on the next one more. But do check out Baby Names...especially Shiney. Someone we know.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 20:12

I try Crispy, but I don't always pull it off

Evening ladies. Hope your well. My PC has been infected by some sodding virus that keeps popping up telling me I have infections and that I need to purchase their 'Security Tool' right now, for lots of money.

I am about to try and remove it. I tried swearing at it earlier but that didn't work and just frightened the children . I may manage to remove it, I may implode my laptop.

Wish me luck, I'm going in....
