Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 17:31

Speaking of Trills, when is she back?

What are you going to order from the chinese?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/05/2010 17:33

Now which thread hadve we discussed Sherry on before. You need to drink it chilled as told to me by one of the owners of Tio Pepe.

VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 17:34

yes i remember that Fanny, i like the cheap cream stuff, i also love port, do you drink that chilled too?

Alicetheinvisible · 02/05/2010 17:37

Vinny

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 02/05/2010 17:37

Helloooo

Took DC to soft play, and have been playing Lego all afternoon.

Roast beef for dinner, and I don't even have to cook it! (lovely DH)

Wrt KK donuts - don't worry, I don't really like donuts, so you haven't opened pandora's box

ABF - I used to go to God's Kitchen! About 1998/99.

Vinny - I heart your Nan, she sounds fantastic!

Everyone sounds pretty chipper.

Am catching up with 24 and the Mentalist tonight, which almost makes up for having to work tomorrow

hellsbelles · 02/05/2010 17:38

oh lord double - hope you didn't snog my naughty brother

Alicetheinvisible · 02/05/2010 17:38

Every birthday and christmas we get my grandad a bottle of Harveys Bristol Cream, he thinks it is the 'posh' stuff as it is twice the price of Sainsbury's

No Port should be at room temp.

VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 17:41

my usual take away is not answering so just rang another local one

the girl who answered sounded half alseep 'heelllooo......whats....your....address?......how....do...you...spell....that...'

then she didnt even confirm my order or give me a price, she just put the phone down will probably get it about 10 pm

VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 17:42

oh ive ordered beef green pepper in black bean sauce

VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 17:44

Aww bless your grandad Alice, thats what my Nan drinks

bellavita · 02/05/2010 17:57

I do love a Harvey's too!!

Vinny, swap your beef in black bean sauce for my roast dinner...

VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 18:16

well i spoke to soon, my meal was here within 10 mins of ordering, but it wasnt the nicest i have ever tasted, i wont be ordering from that take away again

stick to your roast bella, i am sure it is much nicer!

YanknCock · 02/05/2010 18:17

ABF, wouldn't 'dreary' be perfect atmosphere for a gothic stately home?

Thanks for reminding me everyone, my boots card went missing a while ago and keep forgetting to go order a new one--done now!

Cheers for linking recipe thread, got it on watch now.

Vinny, your nan sounds hilarious! I am at your DS's roast dinner smelling bottom. Mine's smells like something crawled up there and died

We'll have baked fish and oven chips tonight when I can be arsed. Today has been spent wiping goo out of DS's eyes and being trapped on the sofa by his constant feeding. Poor thing doesn't feel well, really all about comfort today I think.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 18:23

Am full up now, just had the veg (carrots, cauli and green beans) with roast beef and gravy. The roasties looked glorious but I actually prefer mash.

How disappointing for you Vinny, especially when you are looking forward to eating something which should be nice.

Comfort sounds good Yank. I remember DS1 having conjunctivitis when he was about 6 months old. Every time he sneezed, it shot out

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 02/05/2010 18:23

Vert at crispy duck.

Yank, hope DS feels better soon.

Sherry is very good for a sore throat - that's about the only time I drink it TBH.

Saw a sign outside a pub earlier which kind of sums up the area we live in;

" Two steak dinners and a Walls Vienetta for a tenner "
