Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

Evening!

Had a lovely afternoon visiting relatives, lovely roast lamb dinner and lots of chat.

Got a cold in my chest/throat and feeling pretty spaced.

Fanny, I'm planning to start getting DS into bed. I'm going to swap the grobag to duvet and pillow, and then after a couple weeks take the sides off the cotbed. Very scary.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 20:46

ID - is your DS still up? I would ask him to make his lovely mum a coffee!

redbindippurs · 02/05/2010 20:50

Good luck mycat, that virus is a right sod to remove.

MyCatIsABastard · 02/05/2010 20:55

I'm under heavy fire here! Sodding bloody bastarding fecking virusy shitty thing will not FECK OFF!

I need my PC! I've got work to do! At least I can come online but I daren't look at antying like my bank account and I can't open word or excel which is a real pain in the arse!

I'm going back in...

MyCatIsABastard · 02/05/2010 20:57

redbindippurs - have you had it? How did you get rid of it?

MyCat - why hasn't your antivirus programme taken care of it?

bellavita · 02/05/2010 21:01

You are welcome

MyCatIsABastard · 02/05/2010 21:05

Bella, its a kind of trojan thingy as I udnerstand it and it mimicks proper programmes so anti virus stuff doesn't think it is a nasty. A right sodding pain to get rid of. I think I have found some instructions that might help.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 21:06

MyCat, DH says you need to let your antivirus software do a full scan, then set it to delete any viruses it finds and then run windows defender. You probably already know this though....

bellavita · 02/05/2010 21:08

DH says most virus's mimick programmes, but any good anti-virus software will find it.

MyCatIsABastard · 02/05/2010 21:12

bella, I've done that already but thanks for asking him . I'm using COMODO as my anti virus/security but for some reason it was switched off, which is why it must have sneaked in.

I'm having another got at it now.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 21:20

Oh blimey MyCat

Fingers crossed it works this time.

YanknCock · 02/05/2010 21:32

Lizzy, no worries, we will probably hang on to this telly till the bitter end.

MyCat, how annoying re: your PC. I use AVG free edition and Firefox for a browser---seems to work, I never get problems (other than the fact that I HATE windows vista and nearly killed this laptop at the beginning attempting a downgrade to XP).

I am really shattered even though we've not gone anywhere today. Had to cancel plans with friend and her baby due to DS's conjunctivitis, and entire back of car has the table and chairs in it (getting rid of our wobbly set in favour of my friend's used set).

DS is sleeping at least, but have realised I need to express enough milk for Tuesday nursery and I should have really started last night. I would rather go to bed right this minute but am stuck waiting for my boobs to fill up a bit more before expressing.

redbindippurs · 02/05/2010 21:35

Mycat, rkill and malwarebytes will get rid of it when booting in safe mode. Some variants of the virus won't let you download though, so you have to download on another computer and run the antimalware programmes from a stick. A right pain in the arse.

Wasting, he is still in his grobag with a light duvet and a pillow, he keeps chucking the duvet off. I know you can get grobags which are like proper sleping bags, must go and onvestigate.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 21:37

Well I have to say that DH has just shocked me by saying that he thinks a tattoo or piercing in the right place can look attractive

Do you have an electric pump or do you do it by hand Yank?

I've actually got two Medela Swings now! I had to buy another when the first was trapped in my luggage. So I'm using them together now. Hells generously offered me her Medela double, but I'd already got the new one before seeing that--and I did need it quite urgently, we got home Wednesday and I needed to pump Thursday for his Friday start at nursery. Most of the freezer reserve was depleted when I was puking before the USA trip.
