Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

Grrrr, why can't i remember what everyone said

Fanny - i have 14wks and 1 day left (not that i am counting of course )

Vinny - sounds like a lovely day.

SAF - DD likes to tip bowls of water over my head when i am in the bath, relaxing - not

Penguins - does anyone do that thing where you bite off 2 diagonal corners, then suck your tea up through it? It is yummy

Oh, and i got the second in the 2000 guineas yesterday, got £12 back from a £4 bet
Watched it on telly today though, racing in the rain is not a lot of fun, especially when sober

bellavita · 02/05/2010 16:51

My lovely friend has called round with a huge bunch of flowers from her mum, a big box of chocs and a nice amount on a gift card for Boots from her. So am chuffed to bits

Roast beef for tea - yum!

Am at your wine and carrot cake Vinny.

Hells - at your lunch out! I love going out for lunch. Actually, DH is away next weekend so myself and the boys will be going then.

YanknCock · 02/05/2010 16:53

TC, I'd just stock up on WW ready meals, but
-a) they are teeny tiny
-b) ready meals have too much salt so couldn't be shared with DS who is eating with us, and the BLW stuff works much better when we all eat the same food.

Am going to attempt slow cooker meals on two days this week, and very very quick stir fry and veg curry on the other two nights.

All of your DS have me laughing so much! My own DS has spread the conjunctivitis to his other eye, which is not anywhere near as funny as telling people about your mum's lack of knickers, sitting in a nappy box picking your nose, dropping trou at inopportune moments, or groping wildly.

Lizzy, tell me about this TV swapping thing at Tesco! Ours isn't even a widescreen, it is at least 10 years old.

Has someone got a link to the recipe thread? I can never find it!

I will say 'meh' to Krispy Kreme. We had O&H Danish bakery in my hometown and it was waaaaaay better. No donut will ever compare for me.

I've never been a 'club' person. XH was into all that--should have been my first clue really....

Shiney

hells, you really shouldn't put doughnuts and cocks in the same sentence, I am now cursed with a very weird mental image!

thats lovely Bella, what are you going to spend your voucher on?

Alice, i also do that with kitkats and twix, disgusting but yummy

DreamsInBinary · 02/05/2010 16:57

Hello

Soft play an lunch with In-Laws today. Weather not up to the park, which is the weekend venue of choice.

bellavita · 02/05/2010 16:58

Vinny, some Jean Paul Gaultier stuff. I have about £46 worth of points on my loyalty card which will pay for body lotion or bath stuff and I will use the gift card for the perfume.

Alicetheinvisible · 02/05/2010 16:58

Yank - what have you got against a nice sugary ring?

Vinny - yum!

DreamsInBinary · 02/05/2010 16:59

I used to love clubbing. The Hacienda was one of the reasons I went to Manchester Uni. Can't bear it now!

Bella - the perfect result! She must have been so pleased with the cake.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/05/2010 17:02

Is it bad that im wishing the kids were in bed already?

I just want to snuggle on the sofa and have some vodka peace and quiet whilst watching The Hangover.

Hope tomorrow isnt this dreary, was meant to be walking to the "Gothic Gem of the Midlands" stately home which only opens for the odd bank holiday. Havent been since I was little and really fancied a nosy around and a cream tea in the tearooms

Alicetheinvisible · 02/05/2010 17:02

I can't find the Shiney recipe thread either

AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/05/2010 17:04

at your 46 quids worth of points. The most I ever can manage to save up is about £15 and then end up cashing it in on either some makeup or some Sanctuary bath stuff.
Wish I had your restraint!

bellavita · 02/05/2010 17:04

DIB - she was over the moon.

Right, gotta go and see to the dinner.

Alicetheinvisible · 02/05/2010 17:07

I got up to £21 worth of points, then used it on birthday presents in an expensive month. I used half my gift card on sanctury stuff though mmmmmm......love their bath oil

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/05/2010 17:09

Our dog ate my loyalty card, might get a new one now as all our local chemists seemed to have been turned into Boots overnight.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/05/2010 17:10

I love the bath milk stuff that comes with a little wooden scoop. Fancy having a bath now. Would be mean to leave DH with both the kids he's only just got in from work!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/05/2010 17:10

Mind you he also nearly phoned 999 and when we were in our old house and in the kitchen having supper, the channels would change on sky as if by magic as he would be chomping on the remoted control.

VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 17:10

i always save my points up for christmas and buy pressies with them

i am staving and i want chinese, but my local take away is not open yet (how dare they) i will try ringing again at 5.30

DreamsInBinary · 02/05/2010 17:11

hellsbelles · 02/05/2010 17:13

Bella- that's perfect. She got it right didn't she!

DIB - you went to the Hacienda! Wow.

Who was it that went to Bagleys? My brother was always there! Reeking of aftershave.

I must point out that while I wasn't a major clubber...it was very hard to drag me out of a pub or bar! I was certainly work hard/play very hard type

bellavita · 02/05/2010 17:19

Ooh I love a sherry now and then... >

bellavita · 02/05/2010 17:21
VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 17:21

my mum went into her flat today and she has hidden all of the birthday cards that say 90 on then, she doesnt want anyone knowing she is 90 the little minx

VinegarTits · 02/05/2010 17:22
