Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

We were in Canada/US for about 4 years when I was child. I'd love to go back for a visit one day.
We could have gone to cousins wedding in Vancouver last summer, but DS was about 14 months and that is a long flight with a walking non-verbal toddler.

Hi ladies.
Argh talk of pate and ciggies is making me very very
Worst is that we have a tub of chicken livers in the freezer to make pate, and dp is talking about making some onion chutney to go with it. Grrrr. Will have to hide upstairs when he eats that I think

Food so far today:
2 belvita biscuits
2 apples
popcorn (no butter)
2 slices toast
1 raw carrot.

I don't think I'm doing too badly at healthy constant eating!

SAF, PCOS=Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, it's an endocrine disorder that affects fertility, most common cause of infertility if I remember right. Makes weight very hard to shift due to insulin resistance, excessive hair is another common symptom (from excess androgens). Means I have very irregular periods and don't ovulate very often (not at all now as I'm still breastfeeding DS).

wasting, DS was not as good on the recent flights as he would have been a few months ago. Am dreading flights when he is a toddler!

Queen, sounds like you are doing very well!

Hello all.

Just quckly popping in to say 'hi' as I am off to get ready for work.

Might pop back after work if I'm not too tired.

Have a good evening ladies

YanknCock · 01/05/2010 17:14

arrgh, sorry DI/SAF, I mixed up who'd asked about the PCOS.

DI, about all the MCs. They are very common with PCOS too. I had one before DS and I fear having another when we start trying for no 2. (not any time soon, don't get all excited anyone!)

Hello hello. How are you all?

I have just spent a week with DH and DC's in Scotland visiting rellies and have managed to only gain... 3lb, and that was weighing this evening (not my usual naked first thing in the morning stand on one leg weigh in). Hoo bloody Ray!!!! We had a lovely time in Scotland too, lots of swimming with the kids, seeing relatives and arguing in the car (as you do!!).

Thanks for all the lovely comments on my DD's pick on FB. She looks so pretty but she is such a bugger (I like to think of it as character but really she is just a madam!!).

I'm just off to puyt DD to bed but will catch up properly later. Just hope your all OK.

norma & saf I am aghast at judgey stuff you had to deal with today. How horrible.

Lizzy - so glad you are getting nice weather! It's been pretty shite here all day.

JuJusDad · 01/05/2010 19:18

Hello all

Cannot read all 400 odd posts and understand other thread deleted. Hope you're all well and nopt been too tarnished by my increasing rep as a naughty girl

It is tricky for me to post right now as with J but know you're all missing me madly

So far, J has..

Taken me to Halfords
Taken me to the scrap yard
Taken me to another car place
Taken me to Asda.

AIBU to think he is trying to tell me something?!?! Seriously, I stood in the rain for half an hour will he did something manly in the scrapyard. In his defence though he has made it up to me but more work required I think. He bought me some Magic Stars so my healthy eating is skewed this week.

JuJusDad · 01/05/2010 19:19

It's me -Shiney! Not him!

PictureInTheAttic · 01/05/2010 19:24

Well Hello Shiney! Just swooping through the time-space continuum to offer some helpful nuggets and I saw your name. I'm here as nuggets automatically bring me to healthy eating...

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 01/05/2010 19:27

I worked that out!

Hello ladies

I have been very busy today, running around like a blue-arsed fly. DH working tomorrow and Monday as well - poo, pants, willy, arse!

PictureInTheAttic · 01/05/2010 19:27

Shall I swoop through Active Convos and offer some help to lost souls?

It's been a while.

The MoneySavingExpert boards were very grateful for my interventions there. I told them to reply to every offer of good fortune that came their way from Nigerian bank accounts.

JuJusDad · 01/05/2010 19:37

Apparently they are now 13 million pounds better off.

JuJusDad · 01/05/2010 19:38

And personal friends of His Excellence Prince Hama of Nigeria to boot..

JuJusDad · 01/05/2010 19:39

Right I need a wee and food. Speak very soon and TRY and behave
