Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

Afternoon ladies.

Met friend for coffee and mooch around shops but was very restrained and purchased nothing!

Then home and have made vanilla/courgette cupckakes - yummy.

Think we're going to have curry later as Saturday is my day off dieting.

Feel very pre-menstrual so may be about to get first period in 2.5 years!

Bella - are you ok?

YanknCock · 01/05/2010 14:32

Screamin, we are size twins, I was a 24 at heaviest, now solidly in a 22 with the occasional 20 (the Monsoon dress in the profile pic is a 20, but generously cut I think). How tall are you?

VT, so sorry about the macbook getting dented! But good news on weight loss, glad you've stuck with WW too. Have fun at your nan's.

MrsWobble, yay for 1lb off!

ABF, step away from the shortcake!

TC, I have said many many times that I want a shop called 'Short & Pudgy' that caters to me and fellow dumplings. 5'4 at a push and size 22 doesn't come easy.

Bitter, glad you're getting a day off, sorry about your rude wakeup!

SAF, I think it is tapenade you're talking about, I luuurrrve it.

DI, good luck cutting out the bread.

Lizzy, fingers crossed DS is better for Tuesday.

wasting, I do the PB on celery with raisens too, do you also call it 'ants on a log' here? Glad DS slept through!

tracey, jealous of your curry plans

Have spent morning at salon having my usual monthly wax, then had a manicure and facial as they were very very cheap with all the loyalty points I'd built up from monthly waxes. Was nice to have the time on my own and very relaxing. AND I got back to find DH had been properly househusband-like, taken bin out, done washing up, cleaned/hoovered dining room. Lovely day!

I brought Subway back for all of us, DS is working on his kid's tuna and will now smell like fish for the rest of the day (I'd bathe him now, but he'll just get mucky again at dinner!) This BLW thing is good, but messy.

Ooh Yank, sounds a lovely day of being pampered.

Work is OK today, no hassles and going quickly.

Hells, it is lovely sunny and warm in Lancs, for once, it is not grim oop north!

NormaSknockers · 01/05/2010 14:44

Afternoon all,

Awwww Happy Birthday Vinny's Nan Some lovely pressies there bet she'll love those, she sounds like a tough old bird too

MrsW well done on your loss, give us a twirl!

Lizzy - you have fish breath?

Where's my Bella?

Lizzylou · 01/05/2010 14:46

Norma, I think Bella is shopping or baking, those are my guesses, anyway

NormaSknockers · 01/05/2010 14:50

Gee thanks for that Lizzy

Ooo I really hope she's baking, something new to drool over!

wastingaway · 01/05/2010 14:52

Hello. We've been to Morrisons and had lunch, taking it steady. DS has just fallen onto his face outside, but it's only slightly grazed.

He wants boob all the time today, must be the cold.

Yank, I do call it ants on a log, but I learnt to make it in Canada/US. Anyone round here I explain it to looks aghast.

Lizzy, I thought it was quiet. I rely on your awful customers/colleagues to get me through Saturdays.

NormaSknockers · 01/05/2010 14:54

Ants on a log?

Poor DS wasting, glad he's not hurt too badly

Norma, celery stick filled with peanut butter and then raisins stuck in. Yum!

What were you doing to raise her ire Saf?

Honestly Saf, you have to try it.

Lizzylou · 01/05/2010 14:59

Sorry to disappoint you, Wasting
Will try and generate some excitement, everyone is chilled because it is a bank holiday.

Me and young lad are now discussing how much we hate horses (very horsey people round here, other 2 female members of staff horse mad).

That my love, is as good as it gets

wastingaway · 01/05/2010 14:59

Next doors are having a barbecue. My nice clean nappies are going to be barbecue scented.

NormaSknockers · 01/05/2010 15:01

Ahhh all becomes clear, not done them with raisins before but I do lovely the celery with Peanut Butter....but then I love anything with PB

NormaSknockers · 01/05/2010 15:03

You should have seen the looks I got from shoppers in Tesco today (had DS with me) they kept nodding at his sling & whispering then looking at me disgusted like I'd beaten him up, it was awful!

Some people just can't help but be rude

Food today;

Digestive biscuit
100g rotisserie chicken (no skin)
2 slices fresh bread (with scrapping of half fat butter)
1 WW bar

Dinner tonight is toad in the hole (I'm making mine seperately as I have WW sausages) with mash & veggies followed by toffee pavlova (only 2.5 points for a slice!)

Vinny how you getting on with WW?

Grrr at interfering bystanders SAF and Norma

Seems a common affliction these days, eh?

No idea what dinner will be, off to PILs for MILs birthday, she is a good cook, so will be good.

Norma, how awful re: stares and whispers about your DS. You must try it with raisens, ants on a log is yummy.

Wasting, I would prefer BBQ scent to the smell coming out of DS's bottom Did you live in north america before? How have I missed that? Or have we discussed and I've completely forgotten?

DI, I've worked up to it. I do the waxing because I hate shaving and am extra hairy in places I shouldn't be because of PCOS. If I hadn't had the loyalty points I couldn't afford to have done all that I did this morning! My nails are soft and peel and I chew them, so this is a novelty having polish on!

I have scrubbed downstairs, my kitchen is gleaming and I have even scrubbed my kitchen cabinets.

Quick ciggy and a bottle of water then I'm off to tackle upstairs - wish me luck
