For people who like to eat a lot of fruit and veg but also need to lose weight. We suggest 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, plus at least 10 mins of extra exercise. Weigh in day is Monday. No Atkins stuff or anything like that please , just healthy eating and exercising.

dh is the man from Del Monte, only for brassacas. He audits farms to make sure that the produce is grown properly and that the quality is good enough. I'll not tell him that Lemur hates both sprouts and broccoli, he'll be devastated

Ellie, wow @ frock and wow @ cake. Happy 32+VATnd birthday

Bella verde is nice enough, it's like broccoli but less green tasting iyswim. The dd's would probably prefer it to broccoli, it's a lot like tenderstem.

CoupleofKooks · 04/06/2010 07:23

i would like to see one of you on your own and see the bottom of it and everything

i have not done good eating the last few days
i am a bit gloomy and a bit tired, have been comfort eating but not disastrously so i don't think

ds2 started off the day saying "cumcuber" for "cucumber" which was so cute
by the end of the day he had got it right, so i think cumcuber is a thing of the past we ate a lot of cumcuber so i guess he had time to master it

OP posts:
pointydog · 04/06/2010 20:57

I am here and I am still FOCUSED.

The power lead for my laptop is knackered so I'm borrowing someone else's at the mo, so I might be a bit intermittant on here until I get a new lead.

Yesterday:

1 weetabix
apple
banana
tiny slice of french stick, 5 slices of chorizo, cucumber sticks, grapes and cherry tomatoes.
slice of malt loaf.
beefburger (grilled) with one slice of cheese (no bun), salad leaves (homegrown!), tomato, cucumber, radishes and avocado.
grilled corn on the cob, no butter

approx 10 portions.

My skirt feels a bit big today - hurrah.

At last, I thought all of this eating fresh air wasn't doing anything. But today is the first day I've felt like I've lost weight.

I'm still in the zone and it helps that I've gone past that 'I feel starving all of the time' phase. That was a killer.

DH sat there eating a a chocolate butterfly cake with a shit load of buttercream icing in it last night. The bastard.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 06/06/2010 12:42

Oh, and meant to say that I don't blame you about the whole tooth extraction thing Fra. Have you spoken to a dentist about it recently? Maybe there is a revised procedure that doesn't have such harsh side affects

CoupleofKooks · 06/06/2010 13:14

oh lemur how fab, well done

yes you are right about dentist
i think it is maybe well enough now to cancel tomorrow's appt, but i will ask next time i go
it was years ago they told me all that

OP posts:
pointydog · 06/06/2010 16:26

yes, speak to a nice dentist. Avoid the horrid ones.

I was most upset yesterday evening. I was eating my starter at the local Chinese restaurant and just got a mouthful of oil. Kaahh, it was so filled with oil. Main course nice.

Another odd eating day so far:

shreddies (not good) apple, rasp, cherry juice (that is the sort of fruit juice dh chooses - flamboyant. The only thing he is flamboyant about id his taste in fruit juice)
2 nick nairn crumpets (ha! Bought by dh obv. I would never buy nick nairn crumpets) with little rasp jam
one chocolate eclair (sweetie not cake)

AM planning bread and houmus and lots of salady things for tea so will build up my portions then

pointydog · 06/06/2010 16:27

well done on loose skirt, moveit. It is so nice not to bebulging out of trousers and skirts all the time (speakign for myself)

CoupleofKooks · 06/06/2010 18:47

just ran 2.67 miles, which is less than i was meant to, but it was REALLY muggy and i felt sick by the end

i have bought new jeans
the thought of the new jeans was much more motivating on the run, than being fit and healthy
is that very shallow?

cereal fruit seeds = 4
toasted cheese sandwiches
chocolate microbites [dorky name emoticon]
cauli, carrot, parsnip, peas, corn, in a cheese sauce, plus potato wedges (this is all naff food i am sorry) = 3
2 satsumas = 1

8 but not really very good
i am going to shake my ideas up this week i promise
and wear my new jeans a lot and basically be a reformed character

OP posts:
pointydog · 06/06/2010 18:55

had tea, ate some good stuff, so:

4 rounds of olive bread
houmus
ham
chezz toms, cucumber, red pepper - multo
heinz tom soup

forgot the strawbs, will eat later

That should bring me up to a good 6.

pointydog · 06/06/2010 18:55

I got new jeans yesterdY TOO, fran. Gap size 12. Am wearing them today

CoupleofKooks · 06/06/2010 19:25

mine are a daft small size because they are so low on the hip
i have no hips
i don't know what gap sizes are like
small i think?

OP posts:
ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 06/06/2010 20:00

lol at flamboyant juices and crumpets DH is just the same when he goes food shopping. I think it's the novelty factor

We were at the IL's this avo so ds had a lovely time playing in the sandpit, lolling all over their dog and generally running around being a bit mischevious and getting away with it.

1 weetabix
grapes
scrambled egg (no butter) and 1 slice of toast with scrape on scrape off butter.
apple
roast lamb, 1 roast potato , green beans, cauliflower, carrots and brocolli.
strawberries, no cream

I didn't even have a lot of butter before all this weight loss malarky, but being really tight with it is shite.

We had dinner at 5 so I'm now starting to feel hungry again. I'm off to raid the fruit bowl.

pointydog · 06/06/2010 20:12

I don't know what gap sizes are like either. My hips are pertty narrow too, I am always a bigger size on top.

CoupleofKooks · 06/06/2010 21:35

cor lemur you are FOCUSED with knobs on
i am excited about weigh in tomorrow - not for me - i have been crap - but to see what everyone else has done

pointy me too i am bigger on top
not boobs but just big round my ribcage and bigger still after having the boys [bizarre]

what are your jeans like? i can't link as river island website is that odd kind, but mine are that kind that are called straight but are kind of like baggier skinnies IMO
with the bottoms rolled up to pretend to be current

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 06/06/2010 21:37

ds2 keeps escaping out the front door as he can now reach the handle and he wants to play with all the other children
earlier he got out and ran towards the road, while naked, however he had thoughtfully put his yellow wellies on
i had to dash out after him wearing these
dp laughed and laughed
