For people who like to eat a lot of fruit and veg but also need to lose weight. We suggest 10 portions of fruit and veg a day, plus at least 10 mins of extra exercise. Weigh in day is Monday. No Atkins stuff or anything like that please , just healthy eating and exercising.

Hello Pointy

Your odd one out comment made me

Yes Ellie, we need a picture of the skirt.

What songs did ds2 sing at 4am Fra? God, 4am is an evil time to wake up.

1 1/2 weetabix
hob nob
scrambled egg with 1 slice of toast
carrot sticks
banana
slice of maly loaf
small portion of meatballs and spaghetti
grapes

That's not enough f&v is it? I don't want to eat anymore just for sake of eating more f&v. Oh Lord, it's a bloody minefield this dieting malarky.

Guadalupe · 02/06/2010 20:05

hello lemur

god I love ganache

weird food day

six nice biscuits
orange juice

popcorn
jelly strawberries [at how to train your dragon, brilliant film]

large amount of divine milk coc

no cal veg wraps
strawberries [real]

chickpea veg stew with piles of sppinach

I am hungry now

Guadalupe · 02/06/2010 20:06

dcs are flooding the bathroom

I think I am going to go to bed

CoupleofKooks · 02/06/2010 20:38

guad your posts are like a daliesque stream of consciousness
with jelly strawberries in

lemur could you eat smaller portions and add in veg? but if you are getting enough to eat and don't want to add stuff, i would say leave it

ds2 was singing about all the people he was going to see today
Mr Avi was one of them, apparently
and Grandma
and our babysitter who is in the middle of her exams
and about 100 other unlikely people that he was not in fact going to see today at all

topped off with twinkle twinkle little star
he knows all the verses

elliemental · 02/06/2010 20:57

I just had a HUGE bowl of asparagus with lashings of melted butter, salt, pepper and parmesan....
and trifle--

birthday monitor needs a HUGE kick up the sweet potato IMO

CoupleofKooks · 02/06/2010 21:36

have we missed about 3 birthdays?
i am sorry for my part in forgetting them
happy birthday everyone on the thread for the next two years
does that cover it?

OP posts:
pointydog · 02/06/2010 22:31

fran, I don't have any vegger birthdays. No, this was the post-birthday-blow-out tea.

The birthday was yesterday and it was chinese nibbles and spare ribs and garlic bread and nice salads and all sorts. Plus ganache cake. So today it was houmus and veg for tea to balance things out.Yin and yang.

TigerFeet · 03/06/2010 09:15

ooooh lemur

I have an assortment of cute little vegger hats and vests and stuff, which I have been keeping for the next vegger baby

no pressure

right. am going to FOCUS

dd2 off to nursery this afternoon for practise session (i make her sound like an F1 driver)

dd1 and I are going to the pictures while she's there

back to work on Monday

I am feeling very strange about it, all ambivalent like, don't want to leave dd2 but am looking forward to using my brain for non mum type stuff and not havnig to boil the kettle 3 times before i get round to making a cup of tea

erk

TigerFeet · 03/06/2010 09:17

hence crappy eating. emotionaleatingtastic.

lol @ yin and yang

dh has brought me home some bella verde, which is posh broccoli. will do something spectacular with it for tea

CoupleofKooks · 03/06/2010 09:29

tiger you will be able to FINISH A SENTENCE
and SIT ON THE TOILET IN PEACE

i want to have another vegger baby and get the little hats
but i am getting too old for this lark
i am really crap at multitasking bit of having more than one child
plus ds2 was up from 4 am till 6 AGAIN
(he did not mention Mr Avi this time which at least was a relief)
i feel like something scraped off someone's shoe though
till i got the ibuprofen for my tooth this morning i thought i was going to throw up with tiredness and misery, but i feel human again now
thank you god of painkillers

right whinge over, everyone have a nice day
it looks sunny etc

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 03/06/2010 09:52

i'm going to have to relearn how to type properly and punctuate and so forth

yes sunny - so we are doing indoorsy type things

franzo that tooth needs to come OUT

dd2 was playing at 4.30 but thankfully went back to sleep

have any of you tried bella verde? gino d'acampo likes it look. dh has been raving about it for yonks but hasn't brought me any home until now

pointydog · 03/06/2010 17:15

oh I have misunderstood. Not my birthday. It was dh's so that doesn't count

pointydog · 03/06/2010 17:17

Good luck with going bakc to work, tiger. It's an unsettling time.

CoupleofKooks · 03/06/2010 18:12

we eat a shedload of broccoli, never tried bella verde though
what does dp do that he eats it a lot but not at home? and where do you get it?

tiger i don't think i can face having it out
it isn't rotten
it's just half out and half not out
i did honestly make arrangements to have it out about 10 years ago, but when they told me what would be involved i just couldn't go through with it
i will speak to nice new dentist though
have appt on monday and am taking brufen on a timer

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/06/2010 18:45

Get that tooth out Kook, really, get it out. It's more trouble than it's worth. I've got a tooth that's giving me gyp at the mo and it's really heavily filled so I think it may have to come out sooner rather than later.

I don't like broccoli. It's one of the few veg I don't like. That and sprouts

1 1/2 weetabix
tuna sandwich with carrot sticks, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and 1/2 a scotch egg.
Banana
a few grapes
Pasta bake with toms, sweetcorn and pepper.

I actually said NO to a piece of deliciouc chocolate cake at toddler group today, and it is the most divine cake you have ever tasted. I NEVER say no to cake, I was proud of myself.

Also dsis and niece and nephew come round and I didn't have crisps with my lunch or an ice cream when we were all basking in the back garden.

I have FOCUS.

I hope the FOCUS stays put

elliemental · 03/06/2010 18:50

I am tired and hot and grumpy.

ds 1 wants to go to a friend's house tomorrow which is a bus ride away and he is going to have to go by himself. But his dyslexia means bus timetables are a nightmare for him to follow and sesne of direction is questionable...

Meanwhile ds2 and I wantd to go to the river which is 4 miles away....

lunch - veg soup
ow fat yog
melon

dinner - chicken
asparagus
mushrooms
salad.

CoupleofKooks · 03/06/2010 18:53

no honestly
it's mostly still in my jaw, it would need to be done under GA, the recovery would be appalling and the way my nerves are placed next to the tooth roots, means that i'd probably lose feeling in my mouth and tongue, possibly permanently
it is staying for now

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 03/06/2010 18:55

sorry
well done on FOCUS lemur

ellie could he have various back up plans for if things go wrong?
