This is our mumblemumbleth thread. We want to eat more healthily and/or lose weight.

In theory.

Mostly we like to chat and admire teh thread mascot - he helps us not to over-eat.

If that doesn't do it for you, you can always go old-school - I know I'm too scared to go into the dark spooky kitchen now

Fanny - god hope you are ok.

SAF - I see your story and I raise you...

My friend (YES REALLY HER NAME WAS TRACEY) got drunk at a party once and it was a drunken all crash on the floor type party. Anyway, everyone asleep, she wakes up and needs a wee. Couldn't be arsed to go find it so tiptoes across sleeping bodies, opens patio doors and wees in garden. Comes back in, tiptoes across sleeping bodies dripping as she goes and settles back to sleep

She also, while a mutual mate of ours was err 'attending orally to her needs' did the thing beginning with an 'f' that Shines and I don't like.

bellavita · 25/04/2010 20:12

Blimey, I leave the thread for 20 mins...

Oooh yes feel free to tell us all about it Fanny.

Defluff - honestly the brush thing works. Just flick the foundation over your skin lightly with it. What job do you do? >

JuJusDad · 25/04/2010 20:12

DeFluff - I've added a thought on your other thread.

Jet - what SaF said

bellavita · 25/04/2010 20:14

Bella - I work for a big 4 accountancy firm

bellavita · 25/04/2010 20:18

JuJusDad · 25/04/2010 20:18

Bella - I don't do make-up

jetcat · 25/04/2010 20:20

jetcat · 25/04/2010 20:22

Long story short, ina roundabout way in aforeign country whilst on other business, BIL was offered Euros on a good rate with a good commission, he and friend didn't have the money so wnet home found someone who had a bit of sterling floating about and wanted exchanging, BIL went back to foreign country with cash and exchanged for, wait for it, fake Euros. Now owes big and nasty drug dealer in the region of £140k by the end of the week or he will be dead. So he has been on the phone scrounging money which he is not getting for me as the money I have was given as a gift by my Dad and is set aside to pay the lovely Tom. We can't afford to give the money, we will not get it back and it has alreay been assigned to something. Please tell me I am not being horrible.

bellavita · 25/04/2010 20:24

That's a shame JJDad

bellavita · 25/04/2010 20:26

Flaming hell Fanny - DO NOT GIVE BIL THE MONEY.

bellavita · 25/04/2010 20:27

Is he stupid? Something that sounds so good especially in a different country is undoubtedly too good to be true.

DeFluff · 25/04/2010 20:30

Five - will show appropriate concern in next post, but more importantly, you have £140k knoccking around?! Bloody hell!!

Agree with Bella - he sounds a loon. Would he also take up the offers from those nice Nigerian men who are always emailing me with fantastic money making schemes?

He needs to go to the police.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 25/04/2010 20:32

Not quite all, about a third

bellavita · 25/04/2010 20:33

Fanny there is no need to about what you have. DO NOT GIVE IT TO HIM SAY IT HAS ALREADY BEEN GIVEN TO THE LOVELY TOM.

DeFluff · 25/04/2010 20:35

Right, proper post.

I'm not sure, is he normally a bit of an idiot? Did he know it was a dodgy deal at the time? What was in it for him, did he know it was unsafe but was getting a kick back? Is there a real risk of him getting harmed? Has he got previous form with this kind of stuff? Why is he plying with nasty drug dealers anyway? Sorry if stupid questions, I do not know backstory (if there is one).

I think, if it were my brother, who is straight as a die, no previous 'form' of this type, there was a risk of serious harm, he did not realise it was dodgy at the time and he had not done it for his own personal gain, and I had the money, then I would pay it.

jetcat · 25/04/2010 20:36

wow fanny, as someone who usually gives in very easily to emotional blackmail - i would echo everyone else and say dont feel horrible that you are not giving him the money (or about how much you have IYSWIM) Not sure what the lovely Tom is but sounds a lot better than your BIL

DeFluff · 25/04/2010 20:38

Fanny - bloody hell don't apologise over the cash I was just being jealous

For Shiney - there is a new thread with Shiney in title but I think it is about prams!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 25/04/2010 20:40

DeFluff, he likes making a quick and easy buck, would have been a nice commission on it, I suspect that he knew it wasn't ksoher but don't think he knew quite how unkosher it was. Just asked DH whether they would seriously do him harm and he said, don't know but probably. I can't afford to lose £64k.

I am going to watch Glee.

Was going to try and catch up.

Sorry.

bellavita · 25/04/2010 20:43

Fanny, get your feet up, have a nice drink and stop worrying over it. Stupid man, if you pay this time, whatever is he going to do next?
