Welcome to our, ooh, 64th Healthy Eating thread. We are a bunch of friends who are happy to welcome newbies prepared to join in with our resolve to strive to be healthier, quite possibly slimmer, but certainly filthier than the rest of mumsnet. If you can embrace our mascot with reverence, then you're in!

Away we go...

at jjd - i still think you are mad btw.

Lizzylou · 21/04/2010 20:55

Lotster, yes, a firm grip is preferable as well, that is how Terry likes it.

Bella, eat your fish and chips, I did the other week at the beach and I bloody loved it.
Say I should go for a fringe, gwan! The photo is dark for a reason, am a munter.

Wasting, hope DS's forehead is OK! Mine are always covered in bumps and bruises.

Vinny, you are downright gawjus, and funny and clever.

So lovely to have Yank back!

Agreed, there are certain things I cannot do in a public loo.

My birthday is the fourth, LL.

Isn't there some kind of statistic (or theory, anyway) that you only need an average of 50 people for two of them to share the same birthday?

My DD = JuJuD
LL's DS = Mine
DH's = Shiney's

Anyone for May 20th (DS) to complete the set??

DreamsInBinary · 21/04/2010 20:57

at "stunt crotch"

bellavita · 21/04/2010 20:59

No I cannot match any of them, but it was MrBella's 49th birthday yesterday. My dad and brother are in May as is my niece.

YanknCock · 21/04/2010 21:01

Slugbrains, who were you? I suspect I have missed a few name changes....

Happy birthday to JJD and DIB's DD!

Trills, now that I'm used to UK toilets, I find the American ones weird. What if one was a man with particularly low-hanging fruit? Would they get dipped every time he went for a poo? I worry about these things.

Lizzy, MrCock and I do seem to have had a spectacular run of bad luck for about the last 4 months (6 if you count the car trouble).

Happy Birthday DIBs DD

Watching a programme about B&B's on C4+ at the moment.

Will you try and come and see us or meet up Slug

YanknCock · 21/04/2010 21:04

ah, hello! I kinda thought so but didn't want to assume.

Slugbrains · 21/04/2010 21:04

My cousin's kid is the 20th May. In my family there is a lot of us born in may. I prefer the beginning of may though.

Slugbrains · 21/04/2010 21:08

I will try. am down that way for ds' 1st week of half term. i am then driving him to his dad's who is taking him back down for his 2nd week. Can't be at the caravan for the middle weekend as the owners want it. but ds will love the opportunity to see his great grandparents and hopefully cousins.

Ds is likely to go back down to his dad in July and I will have to drive him down as ex will be there whilst ds is still in school. It all very cosy

Yank - its the odd posting style and crap grammar and spelling that gives it away everytime. and maybe the ice skating, just a little bit

lotster · 21/04/2010 21:10

Ah thanks for the welcome

ref TW's C - I've had worse.

wastingaway · 21/04/2010 21:11

DS birthday is May 12th.
Little bugger was due on the 1st though. I looked slim (for me) while pg til that last fortnight.

Slugbrains · 21/04/2010 21:12

which reminds me who is terry wogan's trousers? is there a spin off?

bellavita · 21/04/2010 21:19

I wondered that too Slug.

DreamsInBinary · 21/04/2010 21:29

I think he first appeared here

MyCatIsABastard · 21/04/2010 21:41

GOod evening everyone.

SAF - what a bummer but better you found out about the ex now than when you went back

Iggi - I got pregnant with DS after DH and I hadn't had sex for about 6 weeks and thought we ought to make the effort as we were feeling slightly better. I was 38 DH was 43. We literally bonked and went straight to sleep and didn;t do it again for another 2 weeks. What I'm saying is that it is perfectly possible to get pregnant in everyday life so don't despair!

Defluff - YOu

Gigantaur - hello

Mitts - hope you feel OK

Alice - Your DD is at a bloody tough age, it honestly gets better. And your doing the right thing by talking to us all on MN about it - I swear MN saved my DD's life when she was being bloody bloody awful

Happy Birthday JuJus Dad

Vin - his loss!

YANK - Park your bum, have a huuuuuggggeeee glass of wine and chill! Good to have you back!

Five - well done on the weight loss!

DIB - Happy Birthday do DDDIB

Today I have been to IKEA and managed to only spend £45. I believe that is some sort of miracle as I know noone who has gone to IKEA and come out without spending less than £100.

Slugbrains · 21/04/2010 21:42

doesnt answer the question though. Explains the reason behind it.

How has your day been DIB?

Slugbrains · 21/04/2010 21:48

Sorry that was a bit agressive not meant like that.

lotster · 21/04/2010 21:48

"...noone who has gone to IKEA and come out without spending less than £100."

Or without clutching a bag of "Glimma" tealights!

DreamsInBinary · 21/04/2010 21:57

and those bloodt mini daim bars.

I love Ikea. It is to me what Tiffanys was to Holly Golightly.

(Unless I have dc with me. Then, it is the seventh circle of hell.)

It doesn't, does it DEM! Only I forgot to post a link to that thread the other day, and rather pounced on the opportunity

lotster · 21/04/2010 22:04

And they do Daim cake I have heard. If I got anywhere near one of those I would teach it such a lesson.

Slugbrains · 21/04/2010 22:09

SO how are you doing.
