Wine has got grapes in though, right?

Saf - hope you are feeling a little better. tbh it wasnt the pain that got me it was the smell lying down then sitting up thing that laid me on the floor. It truely sucks though. I hate hospitals and shall spend my morning attending my 10th May appointment that they brought forward. Apparantly they had urgent on the refferal

Slugbrains · 20/04/2010 22:51

Yep it has got grapes in and has some of the salts and minerals needed but it is also a dehydrater (it causes more ADH hormone to be released which means more water is lost through urine, which means you can get VERY dehydrated) so you need to drink other fluids otherwise you could be increadibly poorly!

Hola

I've been busy busy busy, taking kids to school and then working. So only just caught up on the thread.

Bof how horrendous re dd2 legging it into the road.

Bitter thanks for the Lee Child recommendations I'll get 'em out the library. Books here are ASTONISHINGLY expensive - think 12 quid for a kiddies picture book and about a tenner for a crappy novel.

Vinny, how exciting re the date - have you have a text in return?

SAF, what a vile experience for you - hopefully all will come back clear and you can get off to Egypt with a spring in your step.

Gotta get on with MORE work now, honestly it just doesn't stop.

S'laters x

Morning all
Have been awake since bloody 2am, got up for a wee and then couldn't get back to sleep. DH was snoring, but I don't think I'd have slept anyway.
So I came downstairs and read my book, did some work and watched Veronica Mars on TV (my guilty pleasure )

Bitter, I am on FB but never use FB chat, I have it disabled, so don't get all paranoid!
I just went to bed, which was prob a good thing considering the time I got up.

Hope everyone has a nice day, hope you've had a nice day, Claudia

Is NZ very expensive as well, Claudia? My mother took great delight in telling me how it was and that the NZ economy was going to the wall (and ours isn't?). She really didn't want us to emigrate!

TrillianAstra · 21/04/2010 08:04

Morning all, sunny here but not supposed to be very warm today.

My bosses are trying to come up with good excuses for me to visit the New York office, which is cool, but depends quite a lot on the skies being clear in a couple of weeks.

Alicetheinvisible · 21/04/2010 08:26

Morning

Had a lovely evening last night eating chicken biryani, peshwari nan, minty yoghurt and a beer (just one) and watched Run Fat Boy Run. DH and i very rarely do stuff together in the evenings. It is nearly always one of us on internet/reading and the other watching trash on telly or in the bath.

I really can't remember who did what i'm afraid

Except Vinny, i think you should see how it goes. What have you got to lose?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 21/04/2010 08:32

Morning All

Apologies about last night, I am clearly not in a good place right now, ignore my stupid ramblings.

An DS has been up since 5, so he'll be in a lovely mood later

Trills - New York sounds exciting!

Claudia - sounds manic!

Lizzy - I am not aching much at all this morning, but understand now what you mean about aching in strange places!

It must be the little muscles she keeps banging on about. Will shred later.

Hope you all have a good day

BitOfFun · 21/04/2010 08:42

It gets worse!

Poor darling has got a massive shiner this morning- I mean, huge, really awful. She looks like she's been punched in the face

I have never seen her with a black eye like that before. Her room is practically empty, but there are more ceilng tiles down, which might explain it, if she's been climbing up her wardrobe again. I didnt even hear her though, and she definitely didn't cry or make banging noises like she often does. She looks so bloody tragic

I've phoned school and her dad, and photographed her and the room in case Social Services want a record. I just bloody hope this speeds up her getting her safe space funded, because I just can't keep her safe even in an empty bedroom

Bof - that's so awful, poor little thing and poor you. I don't have any experience and can add nothing but sympathy i'm afraid.

And yes, what is a safe space?
