Oh DEM - I just can not imagine how hard it must be. I get exasperated with my dc's particularly ds1 who is a boundary pusher extraordinaire so am full of admiration for how you cope.

Mitts - you do indeed always say just the right thing and are incredibly kind.

DidEinsteinsMum · 04/04/2010 20:00

i am comfort eating - hot crumpets and proper butter. its lovely, ds is dosed and chilling in lounge, i am in the kitchen in 5 mins tv goes off and bedtime... I will be back but will have probably put back on most of that 1 1/2 stone. at least the eating will have been good!

IAteABetaDadsBreadstick · 04/04/2010 20:00

DEM - I lost it last week, over the issues with exh and over dd1 just acting up and the baby crying and dp being an arse.

I screamed something none too pleasant and stormed out into the night, slamming the door behind me. Unfortunately my rather dramatic exit was ruined by the fact that I took no coat, handbag, money or keys and it was raining. Cue 5 mins later me pathetically knocking on the door saying 'Can I come back in?'

I just felt I'd reached the end of my tether. Parenting (to me and maybe I'm just a bad mum i don't know) is, each day, 2 hours of utter joy, 10 of boredom/hell/tidying/damage limitation/telling off/being ignored and 12 of them being asleep (if you're lucky).

In short I wanted to say I feel your pain and hope your night gets better

I did it again. I ate too much. Lamb was splendid, roasties aplenty, sticky toffee pudding too big for 4 people so I had to finish it. Now having more vodka. But I am due on.

SlinkyGoober · 04/04/2010 20:17

DEM hope you get some you time tonight.

Yank - Oh God, fingers crossed.

Mitts, beautiful place for a bike ride.

Shiney well done and good on you for loose jeans.

All food sounds great.

Now for the farming bit.

Lamb is available to eat now (and is so expensive) as some farmers lamb in November, December time so it is ready.

I feel you are slacking, Miss. Reality and this lack of vodka needs addressing. Sharpish!

SlinkyGoober · 04/04/2010 20:33

And kitchen is still very lovely indeedy, thanksmuch. Fancy you remembering that, it will be 2 years old in the summer.

jetcat · 04/04/2010 20:33

DEM - you are doing a fab job with him, but i totally get how draining it must be. Junior is hard work at times, yet she doesnt sound a patch on your DS. You know what i long for? I long for her to be able to walk down the street, in a straight line, without crossing from side to side all the time (she crosses right infront of whoever is next to her) and for her not to walk in her own individual way (which just somehow looks a bit )

but then i feel like a right bitch, as i feel like that purely to make my life easier (she gets a fair few funny looks) as it doesnt bother junior at all. Bloomin kids - they never told us it would be hard work
