Vinny I think something must be up if you were craving salt yesterday and now you're dehydrated and headachey. Are you at work at the moment?

OP posts:
VinegarTits · 02/03/2010 11:14

yep at work, drinking plenty of water

traceybath · 02/03/2010 11:27

Vinny - do you need your eyes testing - that could be causing headaches possibly?

Lizzy - lovely bikini - does it give good support? I tried one on at the weekend and lordy - lets just say 3 pregnancies and bf has left me in need of a little more support than was previously needed.

In-laws have gone and cleaners have been so house peaceful and clean for the moment.

MyCatIsABastard · 02/03/2010 11:34

Morning everyone.

Hope your all OK. I've only read this page as I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself. I've had what I thought was a spot in my ear since Sunday. It has now got worse and I've got raging earache! Marvelous. Got Dr appt at 4:20 so hopefully can get some antibiotics for it.

Vinny, get yourself to the doctors today woman. Craving salt and then rotten headaches really needs checking up on.

Lizzy book yourself some regualar time every week too. Maybe swimming or something on a MOnday night. You need your breaks as much as your DH.

tracey - I am at your cleaners. I stopped mine not longer after I had DS as we didn't have enough money and theoretically I should be doing the cleaning as I'm home all the time. I really miss them!

TrillianAstra · 02/03/2010 11:49

Weird, my post disappeared.

How sweet that we're all trying to diagnose you

I just bought a v cheap but not v supportive bikini, no need for support over here really, just coverage of the essentials.

OP posts:
VinegarTits · 02/03/2010 11:54

Well thats why i love you all

TB you could be right about getting my eyesight checked, have been meaning to do it for ages as i know my eyesight is not what it was, years of working behind a computer screen has taken its toll

traceybath · 02/03/2010 11:59

Vinny - my mum used to get dreadful headaches and it was apparently because her eyes were working harder than they should to see properly - or something like that

MyCat - I do love my cleaners and would forego many things to keep affording them. They're much better than me at housework.

Trills - very envious of not needing a supportive bikini.

VinegarTits · 02/03/2010 12:01

Bikini is lovely Trill, that would just about cover my nipples

hellsbelles · 02/03/2010 12:12

Wow and at the gorgeous bikinis - I need MAXIMUM support on mine - those are both gorgeous.

Lizzy - it really doesn't seem fair to me. Have you actually sat down with him to work it out? The fact your business isn't making the funds you want it to doesn't mean it's any less work. I don't think DH's realise quite how claustrophobic it can be at home and how essential it is to get some respite.

DH is looking after DD t/m so I can go into work. I can't decide whether to get everything ready for him so it all runs smoothly or actually let him do exactly as I have to (and so prepare lunch, clean all bottles, do the washing blah blah blah).

I know if I do it all he'll think 'this is easy peasey' (and admittedly looking after DD is like a walk in the park compared with our gorgeous ball of energy DS) but if he does actually have to do the other stuff at least he'll get a proper idea of it.

Lizzylou · 02/03/2010 12:32

at Trills's bikini, I would be tripping over my nipples!

Hells/Tracey, I may be kidding myself but it does seem to hold them up well (have a largeish chest and also BF, they are not what they were!).

Mycat/Hells, Monday night is/was for me, but this Squash thing is a one off, so I said I would go spinning on Sunday, then apparently he's working . He just doesn't keep me in the loop, last night I was checking bloody traffic reports because I was so worried as he was so late! He has an awful lot of work on at the moment, only for the next 2 weeks or so, so I am trying to be calm and supportive. Just wish it worked both ways, he is lovely, he is an excellent DH and Father, we are just in a bit of a drudge atm.

Lizzylou · 02/03/2010 12:34

Actually Trills, are you going to Sharm?
My Mom has just booked a 5star hotel there for 6 weeks time, it looks fab and was v good deal.

I warn you, if it rains in France in July I will be doing the Tesco shop in my new bikini, East Lancs will never be the same again!

Fleecy · 02/03/2010 12:35

Can't remember who asked but I'm a freelance copywriter. I do occasionally go into a couple of ad agencies I work for but usually just work from home. Tis lovely being able to see so much of the children but sometimes very tiring working pretty much every evening! Night off tonight though - going to the theatre (sounds cultured, no?) to see Les Mis (not so highbrow after all).

Also, thanks to whoever suggested electronic books - I never thought of doing them on the computer Will investigate...

Am of all the bikini talk. Am going away in Sept but it seems such a long time away. Still, more time to tone up I suppose!

TrillianAstra · 02/03/2010 12:37

I might be there the same time as your mum then Lizzy

It feels sooooo far away at the moment, that's why I have to buy bikinis and sunscreen and things in dribs and drabs, so it feels like I am doing something holiday-ish every week

OP posts:
traceybath · 02/03/2010 12:50

I so need to find a pilates class as despite having reached goal weight and actully gone a bit under it - my tummy is still not toned.

And am feeling a bit like I could leave DD for the odd hour now and that she won't starve

Sazz - at the 'have you noticed'. I have to do that too. Express huge gratitude and amazement if the bulbs get changed or a clean rubbish bag get's put back in the bin after it's been emptied.

Fleecy - do you mean reading or selling e-books? Is it o.k. to ask what kind of copywriting do you specialise in

Lizzy - it does feel, from here, like you may need to be a tad tougher on DH? It's so hard I know but it'll get worse and worse if you are just getting frustrated about it.

hellsbelles · 02/03/2010 13:14

fleecy - forgot you were the knockout beauty - I would have remembered working with you (as would have been ensuring DH got NOWHERE near you)

TrillianAstra · 02/03/2010 13:18

Fleecy looks a bit like Kate Moss's sister who ate healthily and didn't smoke or do drugs...

Afternoon lovelies

Just having a bit of a lunch break seen as I am here nearly all day.

I cannot see the bikinis the websites are blocked. I need a couple of new ones... I would also like a couple of dinky dresses to go over a bikini when walking from the hotel to the pool and back. When we were in Vegas, we got friendly with a family who lived in erm somewhere near London anyway (although she was a "Rochdale" lass - her accent was sooo strong) it was funny really because our resort was full of americans and hispanics and I heard this voice from behind and I turned around and said how nice it was to hear a normal accent! She had some lovely pool outfits (but then they holidayed 4 or 5 times a year to really nice places so she will have needed them). You know when they have style and class because they look lovely even when they have been in the pool for a swim.

Lizzy, you do need time for yourself - yes your DH does work hard, but you do too. My DH always looks forward to going back to work because it is easier and mine are a lot older than yours...

Lizzylou · 02/03/2010 13:19

I commented about Fleecey's gorgeousness a few days ago, was feeling hormonal and fat and had a nosy bad move!

Hells, well, DH has just rang and said "why don't you go to the gym tonight?" so that is a good deal. He is not good under stress and is under a lot of pressure at the moment with work (the buck stops with him and it is a big job that could affect the entire firm, just before pay review/bonus time as well!!!). I think we just maybe need to clarify give and take and what it actually entails. IE. I cannot just give and he take

Sazz/Hells, yes, I waxed lyrical about how amazing he was to have remembered to put the empty milk bottles out last night!

I think mainly we just need to have sex, he knows this keeps me sweet.

Please GOd don't ever let Ditanny see that!

traceybath · 02/03/2010 13:24

Bella - I know what you mean about pretty dresses but I find it really hard to find any because I'm short.

Afraid I always look hideous after a swim, pink eyes, hair with sun cream in it and very very pale. I thank god I'm not a celeb with paps after me - did feel rather sorry for Colleen Rooney being photographed in her bikini so soon after having a baby.

VinegarTits · 02/03/2010 13:27

I had a dream about you and JM last night Bella, cant remember details, but i was also playing Jungle Jewels (FB game) and you two were there, oh and i had a headache in my dream too

hellsbelles · 02/03/2010 13:35

Lizzy - I am so over your sex drive. DH is a lucky lucky chap. I'm so glad he made the effort to ring about the gym. It does show that perhaps he is starting to realise that he needs to think of you.

Bella - I know those sorts. I am determined to be one of them as I get older (instead of the bedraggled rat). I'm marginally better since I had my eyes lasered. Before I used to have to do a weird squinty thing as I headed from the tool to the beach chair as I couldn't see a thing without my glasses.

Monsoon sometimes do nice kaftans and if you win the pools Heidi Klein is the place to go! The prices are totally and I personally would never order from them at full price. However this place is worth keeping an eye on - though there doesn't seem to be anything that good in there now. They sometimes get the Heidi Klein stuff at good discounts. Having said that I ordered a discount bikini from them a few weeks ago and still no sign of it?! So don't order from them if you are in a hurry.
