Welcom, welcome to the mumblemumble well, some large number thread for the healthy eating crew.

Shiney is our leader, but all creeds are welcome here, from the -50lbs club (whoop whoop!) to those who would like to lose 50lbs, to those who would fade awya if they lost 50lbs and just want to eat more healthily and/or chat about cock.

Morning, Hi Mitts!

I was very sad about Kristian Digby, he was such a likeable bloke, and looked so young.

at BOF aka Maddie MOonlighting, how extremely impressive!
I used to clean toilets in a chicken factory..... not so much glamour, eh? Story of my life.

DH and I are squabbling, he wants to play squash on next MOnday's spinning night, so I said I'd go to spinning on Sunday afternoon instead, apparently he has to work.

He was not back until gone 7pm last night and won't even know it's DS2's birthday on Thursday until he wakes up, that is the extent of his involvement. I know he works hard but I can't do everything and I am pissed off, I work, sort the boys and the house. I'm sick of being at menfolk's beck and call.
And we haven't had sex for ages.

Sorry, just ranting on here makes me feel better, have been just seething which is unlike me.

Aaaand breeeeathe

sorry, as you were (as the big girls say)

NormaSknockers · 02/03/2010 07:45

Morning all,

Oh Lizzy Sounds like DH needs a firm talking to, yes he works hard but so do you raising your DC you are also entitled to some time out (actually probably more so in many senses) to do something that is for you & you alone. He should be helping you with plans for DS2s birthday, even if it's something small & straight forward he should still be offering to help in some way. Re the sex any particular reason why? To busy? To tired? Think he's to much of a moron to sleep with him? If it's a to busy issue can you set some time aside to have some time together as a couple? Not always easy I know!

Lizzylou · 02/03/2010 07:52

NOrma, thanks for the hugs.
DH has some big work project on, so has been all over the place mentally and physically. We've just both been too tired or not in the same place at the same time. It is always a bone of contention anyway as I have a far higher sex drive than DH

It'll all be OK, wasn't helped as DH was bloody snoring all night so had very little sleep, didn't want to wake him as he has so much work on and his wages pay the bills.
So I am just tired and emotional (but not in a Sleb "she is really pissed" way, that would be wrong at this time of the morning).

Lizzylou · 02/03/2010 08:15

Got to do school run, but at least now am sniggering at "bone of contention"
I bloody wish......

jetcat · 02/03/2010 08:20

Hells - bag just arrived, it is gorgeous junior thought the outer bag was the pressie, and was most impressed So we got two for one

Thanks so much!

DreamsInBinary · 02/03/2010 08:35

Hooray for Jet's bag

Sorry you're having a tough time, LL. Sometimes it just alll seems overwhelming (and endless) doesn't it? Your DS2 has a great birthday - all those born on 4th March are perfect

doubleinstructions · 02/03/2010 08:49

Morning everyone,
Sorry have been awol for a couple of days...will catch up.
Healthy eating went out the window,so feel sluggish.Starting a course today so nervous but excited. DCs driving me bonkers...Oh the joys of single parenthood. Aarrgghhhh...

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/03/2010 08:52

Lizzy - hugs to you. I had it out with DH on Sunday, things just needed to be said.

Jet - yay for your bag.

We used to watch Moonlighting at boarding school before bed. It was great as well as Dallas and dynasty and Airwolf.

Fleecy what do you do?

Well the sun i shining again today but won't be able to get to the beach. Ds has a birthday party, odd day but they are being posted to Canada in 2 weeks so are doing family things at weekends, I have to go and get curtain material, and DD has a swimming lesson this evening. She has also taken her hat off at school, she was so seet and sat eating her breakfast at school with one hand on her head. We are practising for big school. For those who don't know DD has a stripey hat that has only come of her head for swimming and baths for th last 18 months.

Shiney - I am in for the book. Hoe is your Granny and Taya's knee.

VinegarTits · 02/03/2010 08:59

Morning everyone

I've have been having the most horrendous blinding headaches since yesterday, even woke up through the night with one, and this morning it has come back

i'm not craving salt today, i am munching on dried fruit from last weeks graze box and it is making me feel better

VinegarTits · 02/03/2010 09:01

Fanny you dd sounds so cute with her stripey hat

Alicetheinvisible · 02/03/2010 09:20

at Fanny "Hoe is your granny"

Morning morning.

Bit of a day yesterday, boring, but i shall tell you anyway (to put off doing the housework)

DD is teething, high temp etc, when she had perked up we went to the horses. On the way the car was making horrendous noises, phoned garage.....Garage a bit useless, ring RAC. Got horses done very quickly so we could get home, DD awake again and getting very hot. RAC were about 2hrs, DH picked DD up, but immediately had to drive to Norfolk to see a poorly horse with DD with him and poorly
RAC man came and fixed my car (stone caught btween the wheel and the roundy bit behind, nothing serious just sounded bad)
We got home, had dinner, then DH out again to see a poorly foal, then DD bed, then DH out again, then i went to bed, then DH out at midnight.

So, no repeat scan, but have obstetrician appointment today anyway. Been getting very sharp stitch like pains on and off most of the last few weeks but they woke me up at 5am this morning and haven't gone away yet. DD still poorly too.

Anyway, have a good day all

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/03/2010 09:22

Good luck with your appointment Alice. Hope your DD gets better. I have had that happen with the stones before in the bog end of ireland, sounds alot worse than it is.

VinegarTits · 02/03/2010 09:24

Sounds a little bit worrying Alice, hope all is well for you at your appointment today, keep us informed

I did at the hoe granny too

TrillianAstra · 02/03/2010 09:27

Gosh you lot are up early, I was pleased with myself for getting up at 5 past 7.

Well done on putting your food in ahead of time Yank

I'm afraid I have no idea who Kristian Digby is. Should I?

Did a (short, probably no more than 10 mins of actual jogging interspersed with walking) run, and some crunches, and made it into work for 9 so feeling quite smug.

Lizzy if your DH wants to have an evening off to play squash he should at leats make an effort to make it so you can have time out as well.

Hope there's nothing seriously wrong with the illers (that's Vinny and Alice as far as I remember but might be more, there always seems to be someone ill). Glad the fruit is making you feel better Vinny. I have no idea if having stitch is normal or not in pregnancy, will someone please come and say 'oh yes I had that it's annoying but doesn't mean anything'?

OP posts:
Alicetheinvisible · 02/03/2010 09:35

Well done Trills, i would be feeling smug too (then fall asleep at my desk )

Not ill, just pregnant. I am one of those people who it really doesn't suit at all. Do love being a mum though (most of the time) I am sure it is probably just stretching scar tissue from previous cs.

jetcat · 02/03/2010 09:52

hope your appointment goes ok Alice

Lizzy - i agree with Trills, if your DH gets time out, so should you - i hope things get a little easier for you soon

TrillianAstra · 02/03/2010 09:59

It works the other way too, if you get to go spinning he should get an evening/few hours off too, assuming he is mostly at work or at home with (joint) rsponsibility for children.

OP posts:
hellsbelles · 02/03/2010 10:01

morning all, I'm at home with DD (childminder on hols) so get to do lots of --MN- housework and stuff

Jet - glad you like it and that minijet does too!

BOF - is there any limit to your talents? I love the idea of you as a PI.

Alice - please let us know how it all goes. I can imagine all this worrying is hellish and I hope DD breaks that tooth through pretty darn soon!

Lizzy - it does sound like mrlou is in need of a good kick up the arse talking to. Do you think he could be oblivious to how you are feeling about this? I've been shocked in teh past that DH has been totally unaware when I am LIVID about something he's done.

VInny - get thee to the docs. It probably is something so simple but it just doesn't seem right that you are having to put up with all this stuff.

Trills - well done on the run. Very impressive.

I've quickly relapsed into lazy eating and cannot believe I've already put on 2lbs. I will be very very well behaved today and no mini choc eggs

Very sad about Kristian Digby.

He reminds me of that very sweet one who does similar programmes - can't remember his name but he's posh and pretty - he did cause rather a stir when he posted on his blog about his wonderful drug induced sex (with a chap) - who knew that daytime TV had so much going on (this is not a reference to Kristian just reminded me of this other chap).

Waves to everyone else - Right better at least go and do a bit of housework.

Lizzylou · 02/03/2010 10:21

Alistair somebody, Hells? He is so lovely looking.

Sorry, am typing this all out to get my head round things and it helps to unleash, ignore if your want to!

RE: DH, he does work very hard, especially at the moment and my business isn't making any money at present (well, not enough to pay me any wages anyway) so I know he needs to go out and exercise/socialise and it's on him to make the money. BUT He does get to go out a lot and often goes swimming in his lunchbreak, always plays squash on a Thursday, goes out with friends a fair bit. I work from home after doing the school run, try to fit it all in (and MN too much it has to be said), pick boys up, sort school stuff, feed everyone, sort birthdays/trips/hobbies for everyone out, housework (though am not v good at that to be fair!). Then I have my Saturday job, when I come home on a Saturday you'd think he'd climbed Mount Everest, all he does is look after the boys! He does make dinner on a Saturday though.
I don't know, it is just life at the moment, but it's just me who seems to be losing out and I feel we are in a bit of a slump/rut whatever.

On the plus side, my bargain bikini came and it doesn't look nearly so bad as I feared, will look much better with some more weight off and a more toned bod.

TrillianAstra · 02/03/2010 10:24

Where was the bargain bikini from?

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 02/03/2010 10:25

Self indulgence over:

Alice, I had those pains with both pgs, like you say it is just muscles etc. Hope you have a good day!

DIBs, another 4th March birthday? You must be very gorgeous indeed to share the date with my scrummy DS2

Fanny, your DD and her stripey hat sounds adorable!

Double, ooh, what is your course? Once you get into a routine the eating/exercise stuff will get easier

Yank, hope you and your water baby are enjoying baby swimming

Vinny, yes, you do need to go to the docs I think. Headaches and salt? Is there a connection???

Norma, did you eat all the carrot cake?

Lizzylou · 02/03/2010 10:28

TRills, Figleaves, will try and link, they have a fair bit in their outlet section.

Here, I have black, there are loads of other bikinis on this site

I have noticed that Colleen Rooney has some of these bikinis, on the daily "Colleen in a bikini in Barbados" News articles......

VinegarTits · 02/03/2010 10:38

Not sure if there is a connection between the salt and the headaches, will see how i go this week and if i'm still feeling shite i will go the doctors on Monday

Lizzy your timeout is just as important as his, you both work hard. Love the bikini

Lizzylou · 02/03/2010 10:55

Vinny, too much salt would make you dehyrated and dehydration gives you headaches.

I think.

TrillianAstra · 02/03/2010 11:01

Thanks Lizzy, I am now naughtily shopping for a bikini (I need another one if I'm going ot Egypt! )
