Shiney! That is so funny.

Sazz, another white skinny jean girl! I am going to get on that treadmill and not get off until my thighs have halved. Or maybe I'll just do 20mins.

Vinny, DS1 was dry in the day for ages before he was dry at night, think he was about 3.5yrs old, all because his friend stopped wearing nappies at night time. DS2 was potty trained later (he was just 3yrs, DS1 was 2.3 yrs) but stopped wearing nappies at night straight away, just said he didn't want them anymore and that was that. No probs or wet beds at all.
I used to lift DS1 for the first week, when I was going to bed. Then left him to it.

Goober, where are you off on holidays? Your lunch sounds fab.

Reality, oh, poor you, I hate tonsillitus, hope you feel better soon

MyCat, hope you are well again soon (my tits go under my armpits when I lie down too )

Everyone else, hope you are well and eating sensibly

Except Alice

traceybath · 11/02/2010 13:35

Sazzles - you will look fab in your white jeans! And £5 - what a bargain.

I've been sorting laundry and trying on clothes with ds2 as my able assistant passing my highest heels to try on too. He has also had fun looking at my make up and jewellery.

Both my ds's are in touch with their feminine sides and ds1 is well trained in the art of paying compliments - his future wife/partner will thank me

Am I the only one giggling at the people to my left and trying to figure out if it is the 80s where they are?

hellsbelles · 11/02/2010 14:14

oh you doubters. Tracey has persuaded me as well. I am now (almost) converted to the joys of white jeans. After all the 80's was my era

Alicetheinvisible · 11/02/2010 14:18

We had shag bands when i was at school Shiney. The colours didn't mean anything though, but if someone broke one of yours it meant they wanted to shag you

Back to the people who moan about everything and the reason their life is so bad is because someone once pushed in front of them at a bus stop.......Well, spoke to my sister and she basically was saying that she is sure that the reason her DD(6) is having behaviour problems atm, is because my sister let our mum look after her too much when she was 3 and our mum is not a good influence etc...Would not have anything to do with sis having obvious favourite child (second DD, nearly 3) just want to shake her and tell her to take some fucking responsibility for her own life for once

MyCatIsABastard · 11/02/2010 14:27

Just dropped DS off and he screamed blue murder but he's fine now. Thanks for the comments on my thread about it all. I went through it with DD but am just hopeful that some miracle cure for settling at nursery has happened in the intervening years.

err... shag bands. Does the brown one mean what I think it means? If you know what I mean?

White jeans? It's all gone a bit Liz Hurley around here hasn't it. I have many many many lb's to go before I could wear white jeans and not look like cellulite r us.

traceybath · 11/02/2010 14:28

And to go with my white jeans I want these - am feeling more grease than 80's

Alice - your sister sounds a barrel of laughs.

MyCatIsABastard · 11/02/2010 14:29

Alice, why don't you shake your sister and tell her to get some fucking responsibility? Actually, I probably know why, cause families are such a pain and if you fall out with one member it causes masses of problems

jetcatisfrozen · 11/02/2010 14:33

at 8year olds having shag bands! Takes me back to junior and mini (along with 20 other toddlers[shock) in a party bag last year - the mother was mortified when i told her what they were

White jeans you say...... Somehow i dont think they would be a good idea on me And i am old enough (just) to remember wearing them in the 80s

Oh, me and junior have just swapped rooms back today - she has been good lately

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2010 14:34

Just had a Thorntons praline chocolate egg. It was yum.

jaquelinehyde · 11/02/2010 14:34

Afternoon ladies

I've missed you all, but my God I had to cut you off to get all my work done.

Guess what.....IT WORKED!

Everything handed in, and my first result has come back!

For my education essay Discuss whether education casn be inclusive and effective I got 80%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am slightly over how I did it but my God I'm over the moon.

My diet has fallen to pieces over the last few weeks because of everything so the 8lb loss I began with is probably back on and I shall just have to start again. Ho hum never mind. I will get there!

I'm off to join the gym next week so I can start going after Uni.

Can't really do much diet wise at the moment as I have woken up to find we are completly snowed in, even worse than last time.

I'm insainly jealous about the meet up and just hope I can come, but I can't promise or arrange anything yet. I have made my comments clear about this on FB.

Hope you are all well and sticking to those diets.

Have I missed anything that I need to be filled in on.

Shag bands and white jeans

Jesus how did things get this bad!

Have you also bought the box set of re-unite shite 80@bands DVDs

Alicetheinvisible · 11/02/2010 14:43

Well done on your essay Jaq!

Mycat - i am the diplomat in the family, and about the only person my sister hasn't fallen out with (mostly due to being soft my diplomatic nature) She is lovely really, but has rather a skewed view of things. I often think she views DD1 as a 'blight' on her now perfect little family life (DD1 from previous relationship) She is very 'woe is me' where as i swear a lot, drink a fair bit then get over it. She just can't let go of things.

Alicetheinvisible · 11/02/2010 14:44

Off now to put on some Maximo Park and do some housework. Need something uplifting

jetcatisfrozen · 11/02/2010 14:47

congrats on the essays Jac and welcome back!

MyCatIsABastard · 11/02/2010 14:51

Sorry Alice, I shouldn't have said that as I do understand about family troubles. My DB can be a right pillock at times but I have a tendency to tell him so, which has led to a few tough times in recent yrs. Your poor DN.

Well done on the essay Jac, I cannot think that I have ever ever got 80% in a paper of any kind!

NormaSknockers · 11/02/2010 15:07

Trills

Well done on the essay Jaq, fab news!

Shiney, shag bands?

MitsubishiWarrioress · 11/02/2010 15:11

'shite' 80's bands JAQ!!!!! WASH YOU MOUTH OUT.

The 80's was THE classic decade of the 1900's and defined popular culture as it is today..

(only kidding)

Trill..I did the snorting coffee thing at you looking left at people

Fab result...well done, you must have worked hard. How is that gorgeous family of yours?

I have white linen trousers and large sun glasses.. I know how to do classy

Your Dsis sounds like fun Alice... poor little DD

My stupid body keeps falling asleep. You see that is why I drink red bull, because left to it's own devices, if I sit down I sleep and it is very non productive. Ach well.

Gorra go and do stuff and am counselling tonight so signing off for now...this thread makes me smile, it really does have the feel of walking into a favourite coffee shop where you are going to find your friends...

Behave and make good food choices !!

Vinny re bedwetting I've kept this link here on night time wetting. My DD is 4 and is still not dry at night. She did have a few dry nights at Christmas but then seemed to stop caring and just continually wet the bed. We've stopped trying for now and will give it another when nights are lighter.

There was a thread (I'll see if I can find it) where someone asked what ages dc were dry at night if the parents just let it happen. Ages ranged from 2 to 7.
