i think i have progressed though, and can now do virtual hugs - so hugs all round

jetcat · 14/02/2010 21:39

yank - there has got to be some kind of double entendre there......

VinegarTits · 14/02/2010 21:42

dont you worry Bella, i'm going to hug you all whether you likey or not

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 14/02/2010 21:45

I love the olympics. It is fab. I have enjoyed the luge, the nordic combination thingy where the first round is jumping and the second is cross-country skiing, and the biathlon. I am going to hit the red button for the best bit in a mo and go watch the ice hockey. Wont be worth speaking to me after that my mind will be else where

Skating is on later too pairs short programme. so hope to watch that. But must also sleep as i am truely knackered today. havent even been up that long either. Must be catching up on all the lost sleep from a while back.

ice hockey ....

BitOfFun · 14/02/2010 21:47

By jetcat: "have never actually got into the winter olympics"

Am I the only one imagining you limbering up for a spot of lugeing?

bellavita · 14/02/2010 21:47

Ooooh I am gonna get hugged by someone gorgeous with lovely swishy hair!

DreamsInBinary · 14/02/2010 21:48

Taking a break, BoF?

jetcat · 14/02/2010 21:49

BOF - yes, i crashed and burned at the qualifiers

BitOfFun · 14/02/2010 21:50

I keep popping on here for a bit of a breather, DIB

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 14/02/2010 21:53

unfortunatly that comment this year jet is a little ironic. One of the competitors actually did that. has taken the shine of the comp for me.

jetcat · 14/02/2010 21:54

oops - sorry DEM, didnt know

Are the rest carrying on then?

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 14/02/2010 21:58

Yep they have dedicated the luge competition to his name this year. very sad as it was his first olympic comp too and happened on the last training run. All the other competitors look slightly harrowed by the events. They are competiting but not celebrating with anything other then a manly pat on the back.

jetcat · 14/02/2010 22:03

thats so sad

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 14/02/2010 22:04

opps sorry didnt mean to drag down the thread.

did i shout about it yesterday. pompy won a match - thrashed southampton. Tis truely fab. At least if they go out of business they go out in style...

TrillianAstra · 14/02/2010 22:08

I'll hug you bella.

BoF can MN while having sex, everyone knows that It's one of the joys of the iphone.

I don't have anything constructive to add to your thread Mitts so won't just pile in, but I hope it starts working for you soon.

bellavita · 14/02/2010 22:15

Ooh thank you Trills!

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 14/02/2010 22:39

night folks

jaquelinehyde · 14/02/2010 23:42

Mitts have posted on the thread for you.

If I'm at the meet up I will happily give and recieve hugs once I have had a few too many drinks.

Jet - I am going to make some baby steps this week, not buy anything bad , go out for a walk at least once a day, limit diet coke to 1 small bottle every other day, go back to slimming world .

Then I shall begin meal planning and consider a possible trip to Drs to take him up on the tablets.

jaquelinehyde · 14/02/2010 23:44

Oh and Bella my lovely I have been doing some thinking this afternoon, and I have a favour to ask you....I shall reveal more when you are up and about able to respond.

Night all x

iggi999 · 15/02/2010 00:00

Just came in from the pub (quiz - only came second damnit) and saying goodnight - hope you all have a good start to your week tomorrow. (said with smugness of someone who is on holiday)

Lizzylou · 15/02/2010 07:58

Hope BOF hasn't worn herself out

I do hugs too Bella and Yank, I once caught myself stroking a new friend's hair on a night out (it was v lustrous and thick, ooh, watch out Vinny), it was only the second time we'd met. I have noticed that she sits a bit farther away from me now on nights out

Mitts and Jet, you are two of the loveliest and strongest women I know, you may not feel like that way at the moment/all the time but you are truly inspirational.

DIB, at your salsa-aerobics, that is why I like spin class, you can't get sued for damaging other members of the class.

Half term, so DS1 is at football club all day from 9.30am and DS2 at the CMs. Having a nice lazy start to the day.

travellingwilbury · 15/02/2010 08:03

Morning all

I am still smoke free

But now I really need to stop eating so much . It is not really evil lardy stuff I am eating , just the quantity

Half term here as well so I am all out of my routine as well . I need a kick . And it is bloody freezing so I don't even want to go outside and do the fresh air and excercise thing .

jetcat · 15/02/2010 08:10

Hi Iggi - sorry i missed you last night!

Thanks Lizzy

Jaq - that sounds like a good plan. I forgot to mention about diet coke - i could get through bottles of the stuff. But, i saw somewhere that diet coke doesnt suppress appetitie or anything, so i switched to regular coke, and then i had to count it in my calerie allowance (on Food Focus). I didnt half notice a difference and i am sure i am nowhere near as bloated

When meal planning, try and do little and often (again, apologies if teaching granny to suck eggs). WHen i first started, i would be having small breakfast (not used to having breakfast so needed to start off small) then a mid morning snack, lunch, mid afternoon snack, tea and piece of fruit for supper. Sometimes it felt like i was never stopping eating

I admit to being a bit lazy with it lately, hence the slower weight loss and even a lb on, but am really trying again. As others have pointed out to me, exercise is the biggie, so going for a daily walk will really help aswell.

You sound a lot more positive, so well done!

jetcat · 15/02/2010 08:13

morning tw (always looks wrong without a 'c' on the end) - fab news on the smoke free status!
