jet, google maps reckons it is a little over 2 hours between us, I could get somewhere past Leeds for a day trip I'm sure!

TrillianAstra · 14/02/2010 16:10

I have a small headache too. Apparently we should be whipping the Italians at rugby and we are not.

Nice gyms are luuurvely Yank, I agree.

jetcat · 14/02/2010 16:52

Yank - i could do Leeds on the train quite easy i think in case i am still not mobile - just trying to figure out whether it is worth leasing a car for a year while i save for a half decent car through the credit union, or to buy a cheap pile of shit one to get me over the next few months I got rid of my last car as the repair bills were too high, and scared of being burned again!

DEM - could you do Leeds?? And i hope you feel a bit better hun

Jaq - i think you are emotionally at where i was for ages....... But, still come to Manchester if you can though

Bella - i had a very quick go on an iphone, and i must be too old for all that as i cant get along with the tiny screen. Even a netbook strains my eyes - mind, that could be my glasses which needs replacing!

Five - at your DD wanting to do the Luge when she is five Mini keeps announcing that when she is five, she is going to be a big girl, so wont need to ever have more birthdays and be 6

Hope we all manage to get through Valentines relatively unscathed - seems to me that even those with partners arent guaranteed a romantic day. I made my girls some pancakes and strawberries, and scavenged Juniors mint aero bubbles to melt and drizzle over - it was delicious, even if i could have one pancake The girls had 3 each

YanknCock · 14/02/2010 16:57

Actually, Leeds on the train would be dead easy for me, I'm sure my local train station has a direct train, so I wouldn't even bother driving. I've only been to Leeds once, to go to Confetti shop to get stuff for the wedding. We keep saying we will go back an see it properly.

jaquelinehyde · 14/02/2010 17:02

Jet -- give me all the advice you have...hit me with it...I don't offend easily.

Come on out with it

jetcat · 14/02/2010 17:09

jaq ok - its nothing nasty though

I get the impression that your diet seems to go out the window when life stuff happens - and i know you've had a lot to deal with, house move etc. But, like i did for years, i tend to use that as an 'excuse' for not doing anything about my weight. Maybe it would help you if you didnt restrict yourself on a diet, and just tried healthy eating? That shouldnt have to change if life gets too busy, which would mean to stopping and starting all the time, which cant be good for you - physically and emotionally.

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 14/02/2010 17:20

yep, probably. if i dont fancy driving i can always get the train. so that would be no prob. Not sure about boy free time though so would have to plan carefully.

Am still tired but got to the point where i have eaten and am running a bath to fall into - even considering doing some ironing whilst watching the olympics. Turned the heating on too as am freezing today. suspect i will feel better after an early night and not so much sugar. Enjoying my boy free time alot, but also missing him...I want a hug... but then again aparently now he is five boys dont do hugs and they have to bath in swimming trunks so mummy doesnt see his willy. with the irony being he then walks starkers round the house he's a funny one.

jetcat · 14/02/2010 17:30

DEM at your DS

I will prob have to bring the girls with me, as i doubt very much their dad would have them

jaquelinehyde · 14/02/2010 17:42

Jet you are totally right, and nothing you said was in any way offensive.

What I need to get to grips with is that when I do it I do it really well, I lose some cracking amounts of weight each week. However, when anything disrupts the norm of my life I allow it to disrupt my eating habits the most. I haven't got to 25stone without using life as an excuse to eat.

I need to develop some kind of strategy that will stop me from looking to food as a crutch because I'm miserable.

Oh and Jet for your information I only take weight advice from people who actually know what they are talking about, and you are one of those people. Thank you

jetcat · 14/02/2010 17:53

thanks jaq

i know its really hard - i wish i knew the answer I think my big wake up call was when i had a possible dvt - it scared the life out of me! I just decided that enough was enough. Maybe you havent had the big scary moment yet?

What helped me when i first started was logging absolutely everthing - food and exercise, and not buying anything in the house that i couldnt eat - hard when we got kids though I know that probably sounds really patronising, and you must do that already to have lost the weight you did - but i think you need to be really firm with yourself and not go food shopping when stressed with life.

Oh, and the biggest thing that helped me was def the lovely ladies on here - as when i felt the urge for something sweet, i posted on here until the urge went.

Actually, another biggest incentive for me was the side effects of my tablets - of which i have only had two episodes Have you considered the meds route to get you on the right track again?

Hello

Hope everyone's headache has gone. If not, it's very nearly time for wine, which should sort the problem out.

I am off to aerobics. Ugh.

jetcat · 14/02/2010 18:10

enjoy DiB

TrillianAstra · 14/02/2010 18:29

Aerobics, lovely

BitOfFun · 14/02/2010 18:54

Hello all! Today I am mostly having a lot of sex. I thought you would all like to know that.

bellavita · 14/02/2010 18:58

Ah, you have been meeting up with Roger again haven't you BofF!

Tell me about the I-Phone BofF.. DH has lent me is I-Pod Touch to get the hang of fb and mn, but the screen is just soooo bloody dinky, I am over typing and am getting my knickers in a twist. Tell me I will get used to it

BitOfFun · 14/02/2010 19:10

Have I told you that my brother's name is actually Roger?

Very unfortunate phraseology on my part...

You will get used to the iPhone, honestly- you can expand the size of the text by sort of wiping your fingers over the screen, and it's much better when you hold it horizontally too.

bellavita · 14/02/2010 19:13

Yeah, you're right, tis just a case of getting used to it. >

hellsbelles · 14/02/2010 19:20

Afternoon all,

Way behind. Sorry but Jaq - it sounds like you are getting sound advice from Jet.

I've really really messed up my diet this weekend but will get back on track t/m. It really is a slippery slope isn't it? ONce you have one treat you think another won't do any home.

Went to my brother & SIL's today (they were having a party)...they are such brilliant hosts...DH and I are rubbish at that...and need to get better.

BOF - - I need to get my sex drive sorted. Poor DH - there is a disparity and I know he wishes I was not so bloody knackered all the time. Any tips?

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 14/02/2010 19:51

another at bof's day.

traceybath · 14/02/2010 20:10

Evening!

I second Hells - I'm too tired for anything at the moment and bf totally kills my libido - poor DH and poor me. So any top tips BOF.

Is it valentines day - seems to have been forgotten in this house.

Had hair cut and colour and it looks good - DH says I look 10 years younger and DS1 said it looked like my mum's .

Lizzylou · 14/02/2010 20:16

Hells, go to bed earlier? We go up at 8pm sometimes, just have a light supper (see, good for the diet too).
We have just started doing that, otherwise there'd be no chance of any loving. It is working very well thus far, can't believe how much we'd let that side of things go.

Well good night all, see you tomorrow

BitOfFun · 14/02/2010 20:16

DP does pretty much all the cooking and cleaning. It does wonders for my sex drive

traceybath · 14/02/2010 20:23

So low level irritation at how many hours DH works and how 'put-upon' I feel is probably not helping.

Its the bloody sleep deprivation thats the killer for me unfortunately.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 14/02/2010 20:26

I'm a bit of mess my lovelies....

I think I might need a bit of something

I am doing my best here I though it would just get easier......
