Well, another succesful bedtime in the mycat household [hmmm]

Lately DD has been having tantrums much like a 2yr old again. One minute fine the next screaming blue murder. Last 3 nights in a row she has screamed in her room and woken up DS (poor little chap). I could bloody murder her! He's slowly settling off now but why the hell should he be so disturbed because his sister is trying it on! Oh Shite... now she's started moaning again about him crying.

I am getting so fucked off with this! I know that to sort it I need to calm her down but I don't really feel like it. If it wasn;t for DS I would let her scream til the cows come home!

RIght, I'm going in!

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 02/02/2010 19:48

Oh FFS BOF, I bloody well clicked on that! Now I'm annoyed at DD and feeling queezy!

DS not calming down but DD has shut up. DH with DS, but I can tell I'm going to have to go up in a mo!

Lizzylou · 02/02/2010 19:51

I'm not at the gym
Am feeling poorly and fluey and achey (hopefully just tiredness and the stress of Shiney's psychic predictions of babies), am off to bed after my herbal tea.
Because I ROCK

Mycat, hope they settle soon.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 02/02/2010 19:53

Shiney - Profitable is good! Thank you muchly.

Lizzy - Hope you feel better soon and it's just a bit of a tiredness thing. Everything slowly settling here and I'm on the wine (much much needed I can tell you!)

hellsbelles · 02/02/2010 19:55

hello skinny - welcome

Norma - hurrah. Of course we all knew (thinks to mistress shiney and her psychic powers) that all would be fine....but lovely to have it confirmed by science

Flam - wish I could help. I love my 2 beyond reason but I wasn't jesting when I said I don't know how you do home ed. It means complete emersion and no respite. And however much you love and cherish them it has to all become a bit much sometimes...surely? Am I off the mark. Do you have time to yourself ever. It doesn't feel like you do?

Supper tonight was yummy (sorry Alice - block your ears)...one pot chicken, brown rice and pancetta (sounds yuck I know but it's lovely).

DH is still feeling very low from cigarette loss! Lizzy how you going with that? Have you had any downers from missing it?

For DH the misery guts stuff didn't start till quite a while after he'd given up...but oh how we are all feeling it now - I feel like a real nasty cow as I can feel sympathy for others (especially my virtual friends) when they are going through it - but with him I keep feeling that he should be able to 'buck up' and I know that's not fair. Give me patience please...I want to be that sort of person.

Oooh hello Hells - your dinner sounds divine. We had chicken breasts marinaded in honey, lime juice, zest and ginger. Supposed to have with it sweet potato mash but DH requested wedges instead. Oh and we had snow peas too. I fee fullish but nice.

I brought my second piece of cake home for the boys to eat.

Lizzylou · 02/02/2010 20:02

Hells, No, I am just generally down in the dumps due to the males in my life, menstruation and tiredness.

Wouldn't notice any difference, I am sure.

Right bed for me now.

Night all, don't go filling an entire thread in one night will you? I have lots to do tomorrow, haven't got time to be catching up!

hellsbelles · 02/02/2010 20:03

Bella - we all love you...and thank you for the patience

Your supper sounds totally lush. Sweet potato wedges are so good - I keep forgetting them and they are allowed on the south beach. Will try and do them t/m.

Off to watch episode 4,233 of The Wire. We are only series 4 now. And then we can start watching 24 (that's our deal...I watch The Wire...he then joins me on 24). But actually it's not such a hardship as The Wire is proving to be rather brilliant!!!

Georgimama · 02/02/2010 20:10

Norma I'm so so pleased everything is OK. FB chin up, I have no idea how you cope with home edding 4 children. Honestly, I couldn't do it. I wouldn't even try.

Lizzy that husband of yours needs a big kick up the arse. Would you like me to come and administer it?

Iggi, I found it easier to tell people at work about my MC but that very much depends on what they are like.

I would like my Shiney fortune told, please. And tomorrow I am going to buy a lottery ticket for those numbers.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 02/02/2010 20:17

Poor old DS keeps dropping off then waking up. Teething I think. That and his bloody sister waking him up (although she is now asleep). He's had nurofen and milk, not sure what else I can do really, maybe some dentinox if I can find it.

Good night ahead!

is such a good face for when you are feeling a bit crappy about things isn't it.

FB - I'm with everyone else, I think you are very brave and strong HE your 4. I have no doubt that I would be dragging them to the nearest school and dumping them there by day 2 or, depending on the day, lunchtime of day 1!

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 02/02/2010 20:19

Meant to say, was doing well on the diet til it all kicked off! Now about 3 points over. Although I did walk for 30 mins earliers so that'll take off about 1 1/2 points!

I want to lose 4lb in the next 2 weeks so I am going for it ala Shiney Stylee!

Lizzylou · 02/02/2010 20:19

Georgi, it's not really DH to be honest, just his snoring, but he is ill. More both boys waking all night (bad dreams, toilets, wanting a cuddle)and DS2 playing me up during the day. DH has actually started to pull his finger out housewise, but it is only a few days after his ear bashing so could all change.

Now BED! I need sleep.

GooberHasBookedHerHols · 02/02/2010 20:22

Hi sexy people.
Today I ha'e been mostly eatin' vegetable and apples.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/02/2010 20:33

FB - the thought of HE 2 DC scres me witless, I am in awe that you do it with 4.

Alicetheinvisible · 02/02/2010 20:43

Evening

Have had plain pasta and peas for dinner (bland) and then a tangerine jelly with grapes in. Feel hungry but not sick so think i'll quit while i'm ahead!

Just wondering whether to watch Glee on 4od or not (in bed with the laptop)

Alicetheinvisible · 02/02/2010 20:44

Sorry, just realised that was possibly the most boring post in the history of Mn

MyCat - I am really sorry to hear about your sleep problems.

FlamingoBingo · 02/02/2010 20:51

OMG! I fucking rock!

DDs 3 and 4 both asleep; DD2 falling asleep as I write; DD1 reading in bed - she just puts her book down and turns the light out herself now. They are all bathed, they all have clean teeth, they've all been read to.

I did it! And DH is on his way back!

I did have to drive for half an hour to get DD3 asleep, but hey ho, whatever works!

Woohoo!

Thank you for being a lovely support today. Sorry for being such a moany-pants.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 02/02/2010 20:51

Well done FB

Fanny, looked at your site, your place looks gorgeous. Hope I can get down there to stay sometime!

Lizzy, is the sciatica better now?

bella, glad to see you a little more cheery.

Georgi, agree with Shiny that it is worth forking out for decent foundation. I used supermarket cheap brands for years, but would usually toss them as they weren't quite right colour. Prescriptives custom blend was a revelation, actually used entire bottle because it was so perfect--never done that before!

I think men are just different when it comes to anniversaries of sad events. My DH wouldn't have remembered on the due date of the baby I miscarried either, but it's stuck in my brain.

BOF, are you feeling any better? Virtual lemsip your way!

Shiney, 11 lbs is in no way a crap loss, particularly not for only 2 weeks! You're only meant to lose 1-2 lbs a week anyway--too fast and it all comes back.

Norma, yay for good news!

How's the interview prep going? I've got to do some applications by Thursday. I have a feeling I won't get offered that job I interviewed for last week--thought they would have called by now for 2nd interview if i had a chance.

DEM, you sound exhausted. Hope you can get some good sleep in at half term.

hells, thanks for asking after me. I disappeared into DIY and round the clock feeding for a while there.

Alice, oh no! Really really hope it isn't norovirus. How are you feeling now?

FB, that black dog is a bitch. Just keep posting, don't withdraw. Only makes it worse IME.

jaq, happy birthday, when does the new hair pic go up?

wasting, at two belt notches in a month.

Iggi, thinking of you, how you doing? Me and DH chose our wedding date on the basis of pregnancy no 1, and I also remember the lead up feeling a 'bit flat'. Was hard to think about invitations and prepartions so soon after the miscarriage. But by the time the wedding date came around a few months later, I was 7.5 weeks pregnant.

Welcome to SkinnyJeans and Goober!
