Hi all, just back from post-work beer with some friends. DP has gone with them to anohter pub to meet some more people but I have wimped out and come home to save money, eat the thing I want to eat, and MN. Althought he pub they'v gone to does have lovely lovely chips.

Will read thorugh once I have food started.

GetOrfMoiLand · 05/02/2010 20:31

Yay Saz . Are you still working and doing that monsetr commute?

Hello again Flamingo. Thanks for that re fat clinging on to you (urgh - mental image). So my severe, 800 cal a day, emergency fit in skimy dress diet was doomed then.

aww ds1's friends are so lovely, they always take their shoes off when they come in my house, even though i dont have carpet

GetOrfMoiLand · 05/02/2010 20:45

Crikey Saz I don't know how you do it with a baby and all.

Actually, I don't know how anyone works with a baby. I was working FT when dd was 3 months or so, god knows how I coped with it all. Is all aso much easier now she is 14 (apart from the hair dye disasters and U18 disco worries )

Am actually sick of working in bristol - commute costs me £300 a month. I could cry. Oh well.

I have just had a deliciosu bowl of soup - covent garden one 'heart warming', flavour of the month which is chunky tomato and aubergine. Is very yum, like ratatouille. Is 202 cals for the whol 600g carton, fact fans. Really recommend it.

VinegarTits · 05/02/2010 20:46

hello saz well done on your 0.75 loss

MyCatIsABastard · 05/02/2010 20:48

I have just had a bloody lovely glass of wine and am now having another. It was only £3.05 for the bottle which, somehow makes it even lovlier.

DC all asleep, no hassle and the house is looking tidy (clean is another matter, but who cares!). I'm feeling happier with the world today.

Ooh and I've changed my name because, frankly the cat is just a bastard and really not all that big.

GetOrfMoiLand · 05/02/2010 20:53

I love your name catbastard, it is one of the funniest on MN, along with AnyFucker and NormaSnockers.

TrillianAstra · 05/02/2010 20:54

OMG Vinny - people overreacted massively on that ironing thread! Not that you were precisely answering the question, but you weren't telling people they were bad mothers. Why do people get so stressed? Is it because they believe they are bad mothers deep down?

Shiney - I hated the piss on head title too. Anyone wo starts with that clearly is BVU, not matter what the provocation Yuck.

wastingaway · 05/02/2010 20:57

Evening!

Welcome back Getorf!

Well done Sazz.

Good luck for tomorrow Hells. It'll be fine!

I have gained 2lbs. And appear to be having another period.

VinegarTits · 05/02/2010 20:57

i dont know trill, ironing seems to be a sensitive subject

Saz hope you dont think i was laughing at your 0.75 loss any loss is good right?

GetOrfMoiLand · 05/02/2010 20:58

Didn;t post on VT's ironing thread in question. But of course you were not being unreasonable on that thread VT - you said of course it is madness to iron anything with a baby, and you weren't telling people to iron everything in one fell swoop, just spend 10 mins ironinbg things for the next day.

I remember he other ironinb thread and I agreed with you on that - tbh I think we have similar ironing standards.

Oh GOD what am I typing. Reminiscing about ironing threads on a Frday night now.

FlamingoBingo · 05/02/2010 20:58

Sazzles, you are lovely, but slightly deluded . I sense that when DH comes down and I tell him you said I was 'serenely calm', he will make this face:

I have not read the ironing thread, but being a paranoid nutcase, I shall go and read it and if I don't think you were saying non-ironers are bad mothers, Vinny, then anyone who thinks so must have extremely guilty consciences! I'll be honest, I promise!

VinegarTits · 05/02/2010 20:58

it will be 2lbs in water then wasting, its not fat, so try not to stress too much, periods came make you gain up to 5lb in water

MyCatIsABastard · 05/02/2010 21:00

Cheers Getorf. Your name alwasy makes me laugh because I was at a wedding where the father in law to be actually shouted at the groom 'get orf moi land' (he's a farmer). He wasn't joking! They get on OK now though but it was v funny at the time (I was an extremely drunk bridesmaid at the time so I was laughing like a loon at everything - not one of my finest hours!)

VinegarTits · 05/02/2010 21:01

im a bit of a nutcase stickler when it comes to ironing, but i dont judge those who dont, each to their own, if they are happy to be crumpled and all that

TrillianAstra · 05/02/2010 21:04

Wow GetOrf - that is a very small # of cals for a big carton of soup!

I just munched prawn crackers. I don't care. They were yummy.

DreamsInBinary · 05/02/2010 21:04

Yank - your cock pie is fabulous

BoF & Vinny - hope you both get some seroous pampering time soon

Alice - wonderful news about the scan

GetOrf - you're back! WAHEY!!!

TDWP - yummm

Yank (again) - you'd have hated the silly job anyway, and a perfect job is prob just around the corner

Lizzy - I agree with every post you make, but Alan Hansen???? ALAN HANSEN????!!!!

Sazzles - shhh - don't tell

GetOrfMoiLand · 05/02/2010 21:04

Lol at hearinhg that at a wedding! That must have been hilarious.

Plastered is the only way to be a bridesmaid, what with the vile dresses and crowns of thorns roses etc.

WHY is your cat a bastard, btw??

wastingaway · 05/02/2010 21:06

I know Vin. I'm a bit worried about AF though, I just finished a week of spotting a week ago, and don't know if it's just the breastfeeding hormones buggering about with the AF hormones or the overweightness as that can muck them up too.
