Sazz, who did you meet up with?

Shiney, are you there? How is Taya?

FlamingoBingo · 04/02/2010 20:01

Hello lovely ladies

I have had a completely different day to the last few, thank goodness! Went to a friend's house for lunch and the afternoon, and the children played so nicely together that I couldn't bear to tear them away so I could make supper in time so we had McDonalds for supper

My house is lovely and tidy still due to being out when it would otherwise have been being messed up and we're out tomorrow morning and for lunch so it should still be lovely for my very special visitor in the afternoon.

Lizzy - I absolutely love that bag!

Contraception - artificial hormones make my depression worse so are off the menu for me, and I need something because I hate condoms, don't want any more children, and do have more sex than I reckon most people expect of me . I've got a normal coil and I'm hoping it'll work out well - had an horrifically heavy period for my first once since fitting, but the second one wasn't too bad, and I'm due anohter one some time soon.

How is Taya Shiney? Did she like going into school with you today? How have you done the rest of the day with points?

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 04/02/2010 20:18

HI all, hope your well. WIll try and catch up on thread but DS is poorly boy (had to get him antibiotics and an inhaler today) and has just screamed at me like its my fault. I did all I could for him and had to kind of let him yell till he fell asleep (tried to feed him but he kept throwing up).

Interview was OK today. We'll have to see. I think it would be a good job but the trouble is I've been used to being at home with DS and DD and the wrench of leaving them (even if it is with their Dad) will be hard. Still, I haven't even got the job yet and prob wont, so the question wont arise.

Right, I'm taking my miserable self off now (not sad, just very knackered afer tough couple of nights with DS). May be back later when I've caught up.

Finally all is quiet on the western front! All pray with me that he will now sleep for hours and hours and hours and hours, not wake coughing and will be right as rain tomorrow morning.

I've had a mini catch up on the thread

Jaq - sorry about your grandad

Sazzles - are you poorly? Oh no!

FB - that's good you've had a talk with your FIL. Now follow his advice and ask for help when you need it.

Everyone else I will comment on when I have caught up some more (still got about 200 posts to go ).

Does she take after you, Shiney?
How is her knee?

MyCat, I bet you did brilliantly, hope you get a good night's sleep.

bellavita · 04/02/2010 20:36

DS2 is just dying to come in with me (which will be at Easter) - for some reason my school and theirs are having slightly different hols - mine break up the week before and I break up the day before Good Friday.

Do you think you will have lost when you get on the scales tomorrow or are you going to give it a miss and leave it till next Fri?

aahhh, I just got a bit tearful reading all the good luck wishes from you all (I believe I may be a tad tired and emotional, although not yet drunk). Thank you everyone. I would have read it this am but was sat boiling in teh doctors (why o why do they always have the temperature set at tropical in doctors) with DS and by the time I'd got back I only had time for a sit down on the loo, which got interupted by sodding jehovas witnesses (I can't even poo on my own these days) then get ready for interview.

Sazzles - I did indeed wipe of the snot and sick and I promise I did not knock them dead. You are correct that murdering your interviewer never really helps in the whole getting the job process! They said they'd let me know next week so we'll see.

Shiney - hope your DD's knee is better soon. SOunds nasty.

Only 80 odd posts to go now (surely I should be able to gain some WW points with all the effort it takes in catching up??)

Lizzylou · 04/02/2010 21:02

Aaah, Shiney, you've said before, I think that you are quiet(when BOF was bending your ear off ).
I am a bit quiet but then run off at the mouth when I am nervous/overexcited. I think I may have done that a bit in the meeting today .

Mycat, poor you, what a day! Hope all is well with your DS, am sure you've done good today.

Am exhausted, trying to write some comments on a CV and I am making no sense................

Knackered. May have a glass of wine

FlamingoBingo · 04/02/2010 21:08

Glad to hear the interview was ok, MyCat but about your DS. It's so exhausting having illing children. I can really relate to not wanting to work out of the home though - I keep thinking DH and I ought to swap, but I don't think I could bear to!

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 04/02/2010 21:13

Lizzy I love that bag.

I bought a sequined red beret yesterday to wear to the races. All my friends are wearing fascinators but I hate them (looks to me like some bird lost its feathers in your head) and I like to be a tad different. It is very bright! Should get the lovely Irish men chatting me up nicely to me about horses!

I'm in trouble with DH, I said I wanted to watch something on TV but have since then been reading the thread! I'm ignoring him!

Re the periods and contraception, I have just started taking evening primrose oil and I have changed for a hormonal maniac (much like a homicidal one but likes to keep her victims alive to torture them ) once a month to someone who can deal calmly with life most of the time (apart from when completley knackered when I have been known to have foot stamping tantrums!). I heartily recommend it!

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 04/02/2010 21:15

Thanks FB. He's such a happy little soul and doesn't really complain so it's not nice to see him ill. I know that if I get this job it will be good for the whole family in the long run, and it's only about an 18mth contract, but I really love my time at home, although I am missing the challenge and fun of work.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 04/02/2010 21:18

Why is it I take the time to read the thread and after I do the add a message thing I have forgotten my own name.

So..umm...I hope DD was OK after biting herself hells....

and at DS achooing and mooing Yank, (awwwwwww)

I hope DD's knee is OK shiney, and lol at her talking a lot. I have two of those.. dunno where they get it from.

Sazzle went out and lost £'s . I have a gorgeous new cossie but just need to lose the weight I put back on (I bought it just before H walked out and ate myself back up to another clothing size).

and now my brain aches....

I have been to therapy, she said is like untangling a ball of knotted string.. I hope that is an analogy she uses in general and wasn't specific to me.

DS started to have a (now rare) melt down so I bought him a big bag of chicken nuggets..... (from the chippy...solid lumps of chick meat..yum yum) and hey presto he was OK. So I am writing to the UN that all we need for world peace is chicken Nuggets or the vegetarian version of them.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 04/02/2010 21:20

damn..MyCat..I knew there was more...Glad today was OK and am backing Shiney's prediction of you getting the job.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 04/02/2010 21:23

Thanks Mitts. I read through the thread thinking 'ooh, I;ll comment on that, and that, and that' then when I come to post I forget everything. I have seriously considered getting a pen and paper and making notes as I go so I can answer everyone properly! DH took DD to KFC yesterday to head of an imminent melt down and it worked a treat. I second your quest for sainthood

Lizzylou · 04/02/2010 21:24

Chicken nuggets you say?

Makes mental note

DS2's fave food is chicken and he is my problem atm.
