You must wear something other than black. You will look better, even without any extra slimness.

Evening

DIB - i think they are a bit dubious about woman who haven't had kids having a mirena coil (bit of a snug fit) I was recomended it by the Dr before i had DD because of problems and they couldn't get it in

Had a lovely day at my friend's house, she made a ratatouille type pasta bake, was very yummy and felt healthy. Then we had victoria sponge cake

I was speaking to a friend about DH today and she reckons that it is something a bank may be interested in investing in. We will see

Lizzylou · 04/02/2010 17:17

That is what DH says, Trills.
The other Moms at school were v complimentary at school pick up as I was in a suit and looked smart, I must look v drab and scruffy normally

Alice, banks are starting to invest again, so it may be worth your DH having a look into it?

Alicetheinvisible · 04/02/2010 17:37

I think it may be worth a go. There should be some money coming from DH's grandad's house at some point, so perhaps put that towards it and FIL may want to invest too. It would be something we would take at least a year to decide though. I know DH is rather taken with the idea, and it means we wouldn't have to more to the arse end of nowhere (unless we wanted to )

YanknCock · 04/02/2010 17:42

So today's eating:

Breakfast: porridge

Lunch: 3 homemade banana muffins (made with wholemeal flour so positively healthy). I couldn't get in the kitchen due to it being painted today, and DH had car with pram in it, so just ate what was handy!

Dinner: Spag bowl

Am proud of myself for cooking at all, feel slightly headachey from the paint fumes. Hope it will be better tomorrow.

Ballroom dancing tonight. DH was very cute last week, saying how much he was enjoying it! It's lovely to see him smile and not be stressed. He has problems with anxiety and tends to be very pessimistic, so an hour a week of exercise and laughing really does him good.

DreamsInBinary · 04/02/2010 17:47

Ha ha ha at 'snug fit'

DreamsInBinary · 04/02/2010 17:47

Lizzy, that bag is lovely.

Lizzylou · 04/02/2010 17:49

Yank, I bet ballroom dancing is lovely and romantic.
PILs used to do it and DH and I thought about it too, we occasionally "have a dance" in the kitchen (no idea why and it is NOT an euphemism!), there's something so soothing and lovely about it.
I waved as I sped past the Warrington signs on the M62 today, Yank, was near Liverpool airport. The offices would have had an amazing view of the mersey and the Welsh hills, but it was v foggy.

bellavita · 04/02/2010 17:50

The bag is lovely Lizzy.

Yank, I love porridge. I wish DH liked dancing (he has two left feet and never ever dances) he says this is why it took him 3 goes on his driving test because he cannot co-ordinate.

Mmmm victoria sponge Alice.

Just waiting for DH to come home and then we will be having chilli and rice. The boys had pancakes. DS1 - with sugar on his and DS2 likes them with gravy.

bellavita · 04/02/2010 17:51

Oh and DS2 is insisting he does some ironing I am sat here mning supervising

Lizzylou · 04/02/2010 17:57

OK bags a go-er, thank you, just needed someone to tell me it was OK.
Now need to lose weight to look good in brights/white and my denim skirt.....
Hoping to go to gym tomorrow morning, but it very much depends on how much work I can get done tonight, to catch up from my scouse jaunt.
Have low fat meat balls and low fat pasta sauce for dinner, have only had a cereal bar all day as have been tear arsing around.

Lizzylou · 04/02/2010 17:58

Bella, your DS2 irons!!!
How long until mine will do that??????

Praise be!

Alicetheinvisible · 04/02/2010 17:58

DIB - i was 21

Dinner tonight was going to be shepherds pie, but DH is working til about 7.30pm so we will have chicken breasts topped with leeks and wensleydale (Waitrose ready to cook) was reduced, with new potatoes and cabbage or broccoli.

What should i cook for DD though? She had pasta for lunch, not that she would mi nd having it again.....

bellavita · 04/02/2010 18:00

Lizzy, this is the first time he has done it - but he is doing a great job. He has been asking to do it for ages. (He is 10 btw).

bellavita · 04/02/2010 18:01

Alice - how about boiled eggs and soldiers? or marmite on toast? does she need another big meal?

Alicetheinvisible · 04/02/2010 18:06

Mmmm, thats what i am wondering. If i just give her toast, banana and a yoghurt.

Stupidly pleased because someone on another thread (thread of the day no less) has just said i summed it up perfectly

bellavita · 04/02/2010 18:09

Aww Alice that's nice. I was secretly chuffed with myself the other day when 2 people said "what bellavita says"

Toast, banana and yog is absolutely fine.

Alicetheinvisible · 04/02/2010 18:10

Thanks, i ought to get 'cooking' then

bellavita · 04/02/2010 18:11
Grin
YanknCock · 04/02/2010 18:12

Lizzy, you were about 5 minutes from my house! I am just off junction 11 on M62. It's actually faster at times for me to get to Manchester than the center of Warrington.

bella, would your DH give ballroom dancing a go? Mine thought he'd be crap at it (not particularly coordinated) and it turns out he does ok! Lizzy, you should see if anywhere is doing lessons near you. It's such a good laugh, we really wish we'd done it sooner.

jetcatisfrozen · 04/02/2010 18:45

lovely bag Lizzy

Bella - oh how i long for the day Junior can iron Me thinks it will be a fair while yet

Kudos to ALice on thread of the day

I am nearly all back to normal now, was actually able to pick mini up today and not wince, so think maybe i will start swimming next week. Have just done my 60 mins exercise bike, i am so determined to do it every day till next weigh in to see if it makes a difference and mostly been good food wise, though i will confess to a creme egg earlier - they look so tempting in the shop

Hope everyone is ok

Lizzylou · 04/02/2010 19:00

Yank, it is a shame I was in such a mad rush, I could have popped in and seen your new flooring!

Jet, 60 mins cycling is fab and an occasional treat is OK, we are in this for the long haul!

Boys are in bed, DS1 was v sensitive and teary, not sure what is up with him, could be tiredness.

TrillianAstra · 04/02/2010 19:09

What bella says.

Whatever that is

bellavita · 04/02/2010 19:29

at Trills

iggi999 · 04/02/2010 19:49

Hmm. Manchester.
I think I might end up flying to the meet-up, would that be a first?
Not sure I can survive with just carry-on luggage though.
Best radisson deal I can find has no breakfast. Might not be in state for breakfast. Also don't think I could actually eat in front of any of you
