Yep, precisely that Sazz!

TrillianAstra · 04/02/2010 13:49

Nah, I'm just going for the option where I might not have to have periods, cos I'm a wimp and they hurt.

(I don't have bad ones at all, but if they are avoidable why not avoid them?)

wastingaway · 04/02/2010 13:52

Afternoon all!

I've had a v. large lunch, but needed it after playgroup and Morrisons. No snacks though.

Hells, that sounds very cute.

Tracey, what a pain! Good weight news though.

Yank, excellent sleep news!

DreamsInBinary · 04/02/2010 14:07

Have you considered the mirena coil, trill? I know it isn't for everyone, but I had mine fitted a few months ago and other than the first few weeks of spotting, there has been no AF in sight. Tis marvellous.

Hurts like buggary when fitted, of course.

DreamsInBinary · 04/02/2010 14:10

Buggery. No idea what buggary is

NormaSknockers · 04/02/2010 14:10

MyCat best of luck hope the interview goes well!

Shiney - hope DD is ok?

Well done Tracey on being under goal . Sorry about your car though this morning.

Flam, at least you have a tidy house now though!

I am just having a milky coffee (skimmed milk) and then I am going to start hoovering upstairs. Don't really feel like doing anything, but gotta get my arse in gear.

bellavita · 04/02/2010 14:14

DIB - I had the mirena coil. I had it taken out earlier on last year as it had come to the end of it's life. Made me a moody cow though (more moody than I am normally) . Tis good for the no period thing as you say.

wastingaway · 04/02/2010 14:24

Fucking twat! I just said that a lot outside! Noticed card from postman through letterbox, packet in green bin!
So I've had to tip the green bin on its side to get two packages out, both had soggy corners. Luckily the wet hadn't gone all the way through. Grr....

Mirena was an option, I figured since the injection is only 3 months if I don't like it I can stop, I hear it's hard to persuade them to take the coil out if you don't like it.

Had bacon sandwich and tomato soup for lunch.

Sounds like a healthy-intentioned shopping trip Sazz!

YanknCock · 04/02/2010 14:56

I had depo in the U.S. about 10+ years ago, and hated it. Yes, no AF, but gained weight and when I stopped it after two shots, I had about 3 months of spotting Maybe it is better now, or maybe it was just me, I certainly hope so for Trills sake!

Oh and babies are very funny. DS was in his Chicco DJ walker, sneezed quite hard, and knocked his head (softly) on to the keyboard, which made a cow mooing sound. Then he did it again. I nearly peed myself.

iggi999 · 04/02/2010 15:01

Have had swine flu jag today (a different type of injection I know). DS was getting his and I asked nicely and they gave me it too. He didn't flinch, so I maybe didn't need to buy him a scooter in halfords this morning as a surprise

wastingaway · 04/02/2010 15:03

I've calmed down a bit now. And all DH birthday presents are here now, so I'm feeling organised for once!

Yank, that's so sweet!

iggi999 · 04/02/2010 15:07

Periods mean a break from sex and the chance to feel justified in eating chocolate and snapping. How do you do this if you never have AF??

VinegarTits · 04/02/2010 15:29

I havent really used any form of chemical birth control for about 15 yrs

One reason is because i dont have sex very often but even when i have been in a relationship i have mostly just used condoms

The pill does funny things to me and i tried the patch once (for 3 months) and it made me have horrendous mood swings

wastingaway · 04/02/2010 15:40

Yeah, I gave the pill and injection a whirl about ten years ago. Not a good time.
I like that my hormones change across the month. The and makes up for the and .
I think I'll probably try something again in the future though.

Lizzylou · 04/02/2010 16:09

I never shag
Solves the problem
But then, you've got to get all the sex you can pre-DC, Trills.

Had a right game of it getting to Liverpool and back, but all done now and good meeting, could mean good stuff. Or not, who knows.

Off to drink coffee and dream of pre-kids shagging............

Go Tracey! Well done sorry you had loads of hassle, have you had your rib checked out? Should it still be hurting?

TrillianAstra · 04/02/2010 16:22

I'm not going to talk to you lot about shagging thanks. Not while I'm at work

Just eaten soem dried cherries form my graze box. I also have olives, bbq almonds, and smething called 'rocky mountain mix', but I'll save that for tomorrow.

hellsbelles · 04/02/2010 16:43

ha ha at Iggi - too true!

DD has just managed to fall over and bite her tongue with the only 2 teeth she has....cue rather dramatic bleeding.

Forgot to say I was good at lunch....chicken with left over stuffed peppers. I better be a size 10 soon...all this abstinence is getting tiring.

Lizzylou · 04/02/2010 17:02

Can I ask you girls to be really honest with me?

What do you think of the bag I bought a few weeks ago Here
I paid far less than this, I just really liked, but now am wondering if it is a little twee for me. I normally dress like a student to be honest, even though those days are more than 15 years ago........
I thought it would look nice for summer with navy/white/denim/red........

But am wondering if it is not really me, it was such an impulse buy.

Tell me straight, I can take it.......

BitOfFun · 04/02/2010 17:07

It's gorgeous- I really like it Lizzy.

TrillianAstra · 04/02/2010 17:08

Looks like a big useful bag, likely to be carried by either a student or a mum (filled with either books or spare pants).

wastingaway · 04/02/2010 17:08

It's lovely. And I dress a bit studenty too.

Lizzylou · 04/02/2010 17:10

Do you think?
It is bright, I am normally head to toe in black.
I was thinking of flogging it on Ebay (as I only paid £62 for it, it is still in poly bag, was 1/2 price in sale).
I suppose am just out of comfort zone, once I am slim I can wear lighter colours and it will be lovely.....
