hope not wasting - i'd have to find somewhere else to hang out...

wastingaway · 31/01/2010 22:23

You don't like curry Chaos?!

Maybe you've just not found the right curry for you.

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 31/01/2010 22:23

Mitts I think they have a Da vinci exhibit in the MOSI - i think it was due til easter having arrived Nov. Not sure if it is a special exhibit so costs.

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 31/01/2010 22:29

Cant eat anything with most of the spices - cant even eat stuff with garlic. makes me very very very poorly.

There are a few spices I can get away with but i live with it and i like what my ex would call boring food so doesnt bother me. if ds wants curry or garlic bread he eats it at his dad's and is banned from anywhere near me with his garlic breath.

wastingaway · 31/01/2010 22:31

No garlic?! Can you have herbs, like rosemary etc.?

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 31/01/2010 22:54

a teeny tiny bit ok but not really any proper amount. yes i can have most herbs. Ok with cinamon, paprika, cloves, small amounts ginger and a few other spices but have to be careful. ALso have to be careful with the amount of onion i eat. Have stupidly low bp and if it is a low day will pass out if too much oninion in diet. Tis madness but i counter it with naughty food like salt. I love salt on my chips/veg. which is terribly unhealthy but hey so what.

wastingaway · 31/01/2010 22:57

At least you can have some flavourings. Mmm paprika...

wastingaway · 31/01/2010 22:58

Bed now. Night night!

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 31/01/2010 23:07

meant to post this too

Happy birthday flamingo
Congrats on 12 weeks Alice
Lizzy - depends on where you joined A6 but probably but i wasnt at my houes this weekend so not me but the house.

As for this make up discussion - erm only wear it if 1. I can find it 2. It is a special occassion or i just happen to be arsed. When i do the most that happens is foundation, concelar, mascra and occassionally a touch of lippy but mostly just the foundation and concelar. When i met mitts i wasnt weraing any so goodness knows what she thought.

FlamingoBingo · 01/02/2010 07:29

Morning ladies

I'm off to @Bristol this morning with just my big two for a workshop for HEors - I'm quite looking forward to not having to chase toddlers all day

And I've put on loads of weight Not going to record it, just going to run like mad for a few weeks and hope I can shift it again.

Lizzylou · 01/02/2010 08:16

Aw Flam, have a great day and I bet you haven't put on loads of weight at all, bet it is all water or summat.

DH still ill, but has gone to work and then is going straight to watch football with his Dad. So not that ill then!

Boys are Beavis and Butthead and causing mayhem, but very cuddly so forgiven and they are now off to school/CM so am enjoying them.

Have great days!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 01/02/2010 08:46

I don't much notice what other people are wearing make up wise DEM... I thought you were fab company, intelligent, a sharp sense of humour with a fresh youthful 'glow', and I could have talked into the night with you... If you had said you were in your early 20's I wouldn't have questioned it...

Have a good day Flam...

DD is off again, I am thinking she needs a 'pick me up'. She isn't really a child to feign illness so I think she is run down.

I might do the Da Vinci exhibition DEM.... mix it with something contemporary...

Wasting....hmmm...so a day out in Sth Yorks might be in the offing then [hopeful emoticon]

FiveGoMadInDorset · 01/02/2010 09:10

Good luck with the cardiologist today Alice.

I am so gutted that can't do the meet up ut have fun Iggi.

Off to work today (OK it is only getting my mother organised but she is paying me).

hellsbelles · 01/02/2010 10:04

morning all...managed to get home without a repeat puking session from DD last night.

Alice - yipee on the 12 weeks and I hope cardiologist visit today goes well.

Iggi - DH is very pessimistic about meet up also...he says I'm insane and that we'll all be disappointed. I'm ignoring him.

Bella - beautiful beautiful cake. You are such a clever lady.

Today I'm at home with DD but trying to get everything sorted for DS's party at the weekend. What the hell do you give 7 year olds to eat at parties these days (missed his 6th birthday party (heavily pregnant with DD so we couldn't) so have completely forgotten what good party food is?!)

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2010 10:05

Morning

Just popping my head to say hello as off out in a mo - Alice hope all goes well today with the cardiologist!

Try & catch up properly later

TrillianAstra · 01/02/2010 10:14

Morning.

Chilly chilly today, especially as we forgot to change the heating to come on earlier in the morning,

jetcatisfrozen · 01/02/2010 10:20

Have a good day FB Those big meets must be really good and informative!

Alice - congrats on the 12 weeks, and good luck with the cardiologist

Bloody banks They still havent refunded my money, so sat with no heating all weekend, and have now had to resort to a crisis loan from DWP which i can get at 12. Bank promised money would be there sat, it wasnt. I rang and they promised it would be here today - it wasnt. We have snow, no heat and no hot water Thank goodness mini is at nursery - and junior has got about 10 layers of clothes on

Bet hey ho, not be long now.....

Alicetheinvisible · 01/02/2010 10:28

Morning

Just checking in, have been to the local hosp to have bloods taken (they were closed friday) and just about to start flinging stuff into a bag to take to the cardiologist app (book, sweets, drink, change for carpark etc)

Mondays are usually my do nothing day, so feeling very put out that i actually have to do something today

Have a good day ladies

MitsubishiWarrioress · 01/02/2010 11:04

Take care Alice .

Jet...do you want to borrow one of my hot flushes? I can be walking around in a
skimpy vest on a frosty day in the middle of one . But with strangely cold toes. (maybe they are not going through the menopause)

Sorry you can't come five...mebbe the next one will be at yours !!

Lizzylou · 01/02/2010 11:11

Best of luck Alice, hope all goes well.

Jet, that is awful re: the bank. Makes me , funny how they can take money so darned fast, not so quick to replace it though.

Just had a carrot, apple, lemon and ginger juice, very nice and wholesome. Feel all bloated due to AF but hey ho.

wastingaway · 01/02/2010 11:36

Jet, that's rotten. Think of it as a 'coal-free' diet. You'll be burning loads of calories keeping warm!

Alice, take care sweetheart.

Lizzy, that juice sounds tasty, did you juice it yourself?

Mitts, sounds like a good idea.

We've had an uneventful and mainly laundry-based morning so far.

I'm very grumpy though as the skin on my hands is very dry and I've got cracks on a few fingers that are very sore. I need to remember to use the cream I've got. I think I may need to buy some rubber gloves to do cleaning with.

wastingaway · 01/02/2010 11:46

Any thoughts on my dull but necessary net curtain question?

TrillianAstra · 01/02/2010 12:32

Sorry, don't know anything about net curtains.

I don't feel hungry. This is unusual.

Lizzylou · 01/02/2010 12:38

Where is Squeezy?
I miss her.

Wasting, like TRills I know nothing about net curtains, sorry.
Yes, I have a juicer, it is very nice having fresh juice. I did the Juicing diet last year, but not hardcore, just did 2/3 juices a day and a sensible evening meal (the 7 day plan you just have all juices, but I couldn't do that), I am doing the same again now. It is good to help clear you out and detox but a PITA to clean the bloody juicer all the time.
My new juicer was a good price but is not as good as my old Tesco one which blew up, but then it hasn't blown up yet, so that is good!

hellsbelles · 01/02/2010 12:51

wasting - have posted on net curtain thread...I too have the hands of a 90 year old. Must must must wear rubber gloves.

Now will someone more experienced in the dark arts of children's party's (not sure if correct use of apostrophes there - sorry if not!)....please tell me what to feed the little angels
