Poor thread title, I know....

I think this is our 39th thread and we are still going strong. Our leader Shiney is well what can I say.. just bloody fab.

We do like a lot of cock and cake chat with lots of healthy stuff thrown in too.

We welcome any one who wants to join our thread - just one rule, post post and post more!

DEM, DEM - you made the RoundUp

iggi999 · 15/01/2010 23:48

Re-watching last episode of Frasier just now. Always makes me feel good about world. Nice happy endings all round.
Might watch horror film tomorrow for some balance.

Hellloooooooo? Remember me (doubts it).

Very exciting week on the Shiney threads, baby poo, sproggings up (congratulations!), manly plumbing (and not even Shiney this time) and horrific weather.

Does anyone else ever feel slightly paranoid that when a MNer refers to having a black list, you might be on it? Or is that just my tendency to think everything is all about me? Hmmm, could be.

Where did that prostate stimulator thread go? It must have been for real after all and the OP decided to have it pulled because she (and pervy DH) were getting a right pasting.

Well, no S is continuing to do its thang - 7 pounds off in two weeks ladies!! Still a long way to go (like another 35 or so) but I feel fab, my skin is decidedly better and I'm not even craving the sweets or wine anymore. Someone bought cakes at work yesterday and I declined. Everyone thought I must be ill.

FlamingoBingo · 16/01/2010 07:46

Hello Georgi - of course I remember you!

For those who asked, badgers is the 5-10y division of St. John Ambulance but runs much like brownies/beavers etc. It's a lively group with plenty of leaders who I really like and trust so I felt very confident that if the DDs got upset, they'd look after them.

I've lost another lb. 9st 3lb now (well, the scales said 2 3/4 lb but I'm rounding up so that I look like I've lost more next time ). Only 2lb to go and I'll have lost 2 stone .

I've probably got 1/2 a stone to go now, until I'm at my goal, which is 8st 9lb. And I am really starting to feel that my tummy is getting flatter at last - it's just been weight off my legs, arms and love handles, but now my tummy is actually getting smaller too.

I am determined to confidently wear a bikini this summer!

Georgimama · 16/01/2010 07:50

Blooming nora, never mind the bikini, if I weighed 9st 3 lb I wouldn't wear anything ever. Two stone is fantastic. How long has it taken you?

I was (gulp) 15 stone 3lb and now I'm 14 stone 10lb so I'm practically two of you, sadly. But nine stone something really isn't feasible for me, I'd look amazing but I simply couldn't maintain it even if I got there. I'm five nine so I'm aiming for 11 stone 7 pounds - I definitely want to get under 12 stone again. I've ranged between 12 stone and 13 stone for the last eight years or so but in the last year piled on the pounds to get where I am now .

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/01/2010 07:53

Good Morning from a very wet and windy Dorset. Sat here with DD who is listening to the Joseph CD, we are waiting for the Joseph DVD to turn up. It is her birthday party today, she is 4 next week so we are having a small party at my mother's, she has a very small indoor swimming pool, so going to bung them in there and then sausages, mashed potatoes and beans for lunch.

FlamingoBingo · 16/01/2010 07:56

Um.......oh, it only goes back 6m and I'm sure it was before that I started. I reckon about 7m or so.

Fanny - we've got the video, which we can't play any more as we haven't got a video player . Does yours have the lovely Donny Osmond in it?

FlamingoBingo · 16/01/2010 07:57

Oh, and I'm only 5'1".

Georgimama · 16/01/2010 08:02

Fairenoughsky, but for my weight to be OK I'd have to be about six feet eight! But two stone in 7 months is amazing. If I thought I could be where I want to be (lose four stone in total) in a year I'd be a very happy woman.

Wet and windy in Glos/Wilts this morning too, snow all melted and we had masses on Tuesday night. Both types of weather make me equally disinclined to leave the house, which I have to do today as we have eaten everything edible in the freezer this week.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/01/2010 08:03

It will do when it turns up.

I am 5ft 1" too and Charmouth is close enough for a meet up in April.

Morning - wet and windy here too but hurrah the snow is melting. Just perhaps I may see a postman and bin men some time soon.

Well I'm the lightest I've been for a long time now. Never really got back to my normal weight after ds2 as pregnant again with DD.

Bizarrely I put on a lot less weight in my 3rd pregnancy and its come off a lot quicker.

So about another 3lbs to go really.

I still have a tummy though and think exercise is the only thing that will get rid of it.

Flamingo & Sazzles thats such a good loss. I am also determined to look good in a bikini this summer which will necessitate some toning up as well.

Georgi - thats really good that you've lost so much in 2 weeks.

Shiney - good luck with WW.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/01/2010 08:48

Morning Shiney - Good luck. Out of curiosity how many points are you allowed. I have discovered total fat free yoghurt with passion fruit in 150ml yog and 6 passion fruit is 1.5 points.

traceybath · 16/01/2010 08:54

Shiney - I am so with you on the rain front.

You have to eat all your points for the programme to work.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 16/01/2010 09:06

FB.....

Shiney....woohooo for the rain for you.

I don't much care about the weather but am p'd off that I can't really wear my new boots until it is dry, so I am wearing them round the house to get some enjoyment from them..

I am contemplating going to the cinema this afters..... I think I need to get out, and my two mates are away or busy. I like going to the cinema on my own and usually sneak something naughty to eat in and book into the directors hall. I am not a chic flick fan and am not sure what to see though..any suggestions, there is a Denzel Washington sci fi one or a 'gangsta' thingy with Ray Winstone.

Hi Georgi.... It is really important that you feel comfortable with your weight in every respect, so like you say have to have a realistic goal... lolled at you not wearing anything if you weighed 9st.

bellavita · 16/01/2010 09:14

Morning all

Yay for Georgi - well done you!

We too have much rain and huge gales - but apart from a great big lump of snow on the lawn in the back from the snowman) it has all gone - which I am delighted with.

DH in London today so we are going out for our lunch. Am hoping there will be some fresh dressed Scarborough crab on the menu but I suppose with all the bad weather, the fishermen might not have been able to catch much.

Just having my morning coffee and 3 slices of ww bread toasted with marmite.

Shiney, I hope I didn't offend you last night branding your name about on the spread sheet thread .

Oh, and are you talking about a meet up? If so, where and when and can I come if I can fix it?
