Welcome to our 36th healthy eating thread, where we will renew any healthy eating resolutions with all the viguor that the Christmas munchies require...

We chat, keep each other on track, and monitor our goals together- some on the thread have lost shed loads of weight, some are running ridiculous distances. Some, of course (like myself and Shiney, our dubious leader) have been a bit, er, remiss really. But that can all change with a New Year!

Come and introduce yourself, old and new, and let's get Mumsnet's famous Shiney Healthy Eating Thread kicked off for 2010...

Oh jet, I have just seen the thread and fb

Let us help eh?

jinglejet · 03/01/2010 22:33

thanks squeezin

and thanks for your kind words, i needed a friendly kick up the butt

BitOfFun · 03/01/2010 22:38

Good idea Shiney- you could ring social services and go medieval on their ass

(I've heard Shiney on the phone to the Sky man)

Bof

jinglejet · 03/01/2010 22:50

do i need to do anything to get thread pulled, or has squeezin did it? I guess it told me nothing i didnt already know, but it was kind of nice to have it confirmed IYSWIM

BitOfFun · 03/01/2010 22:53

I reported the two posts identifying you- so it will stay anonymous. Just click on the report button of your OP if you want the whole thing to go and ask them.

I reported the posts that sort of outed where you didn't wanna be outed on both threads. If you want the whole other thread removed, you can report it to MNHQ. Might be a good idea, then you'll not worry about it?

jinglejet · 03/01/2010 22:55

thanks, i think i will have to, as i just messed it up again

i hope no one minds me pulling it!

BitOfFun · 03/01/2010 23:01

We won't mind, don't worry.

OH FFS! Just had two coppers bring dss home for fighting in the street. With his mate. Bloody idiot.

I thought it was too late for him to be out with his mates, but it's not up to me. Anyone suggest a suitable torture punishment?

Or do I get to tell him how disappointed I am in him? I will leave it to DP I guess- not my beeswax, but if the police are coming to my door late at night I think I am entitled to be pissed off about it- make me look a right asbo case to the neighbours, doesn't it?

OP posts:
jinglejet · 03/01/2010 23:03

shock[bof]

I think they come to your house, you def have the right to complain!

BitOfFun · 03/01/2010 23:05

That's what has pissed DP off most too, I think. Boys will be boys and all that, but they must have been causing a disturbance for someone to call the fuzz.

Hey jet, we need a Bof emoticon, I agree

OP posts:
jinglejet · 03/01/2010 23:06

oh i think i need to go to bed, was supposed to be bof!!!! Too many things going round my head

will say night night, and thanks once again!

and seeing as we are a healthy eating thread, i did manage to at least stay away from the chocolate mountain that junior has stashed in her room that she thinks i dont know about

jinglejet · 03/01/2010 23:07

ahhh, but would [bof] be as cool as

BitOfFun · 03/01/2010 23:07

DP ushered them through the back room and kitchen so they didn't have to see me in front of the telly in my pajamas. But there is a massive pile of unsorted laundry out there, and a huge crate of empty booze bottles ready to go out for recycling after Christmas. I hope they don't report us to SS for living in a drunken hovel

Defo layer on the disappointment and a shed load of guilt tripping too. Silly buggers will probably be best of pals again by the morning too, that's the maddening thing about it.

It would be a penguin with a pointy beak wearing one of those workmens belt things with the tools on it.

jaquelinehyde · 03/01/2010 23:15

Jet I don't mind ringing up the needed authoriries and letting them know a few things. I've done it before, I don't care.

All this talk of TTC is making me feel broody, but I'm being sensible and waiting until I have dropped some weight (September my implant runs out so I've got 8-9 months)

BitOfFun · 03/01/2010 23:16

I think a is appropriate for you Shiney...puts one in mind of a stretched arse

OMG you lot talked so much last night I can't catch up! Quick summary needed please!

Had rare roast beef with veg last night for dinner at my dad's - yummy, yummy, yummy! And then a small bit of cheese on a ryvita (sp?).

Will log it on FF this morning, and hopefully won't have gone too far over my target cals.

Lizzylou · 04/01/2010 07:25

Morning all, just listening to Radio Lancashire (much comedy potential, can see how Victoria Wood got so much material) to see if school is open or not, they do text, but nothing at the moment. Car is on main road so will have to trek boys up hill to get out this morning. Thinking this is counting as exercise anyway
No TV signal at all (bloody Freeview) so if we are home all day I will have to play and interact with my kids !
And my New Year Resolution to get Business going more will be delayed a bit.

FlamingoCrimbo · 04/01/2010 07:35

just one calorie to go from yesterday! I can't believe I stayed under my target, especially as I had McDonalds for lunch and didn't get to check my portions at dinner.

Should be easy to stay under target today - staying at home with the children.

at Lizzy being at interacting with her kids!

haha!

Fanny - I may have missed it - have you come to a decision about another baby?
