vinny

shiney -i too agree with everyone else

and you guys........ you have had me in tears all day, you are so kind I love all my pressies - havent opened them but they look lovely under the tree!

I admit to being in a bit of a state though, as i cant afford to send everyone something back But you will never know how much you meant to me, not just over the xmas run up, but since july when i first joined you!

thanks guys x

TinselianAstra · 21/12/2009 15:26

Mmm, just drinking a new cherry smoothie. Mmm.

Vinny he's your DS, if his graddad can't behave himself and keep his mouth shut then why should he get to see DS?

Everyone else is far more romantic than me obviously. You might decide you more-than-like the guy Shiney, but equally you might not.Try not to lead him on too much. Did I mention that DP asked to see you on facebook and said he thought you looked early 30s at most?

VinegarTinselTits · 21/12/2009 15:26

oh an Shiney, i agree too, you just need to fatten him up and take him shopping for some stylish clothes, get him a decent hair cut, a gym membership and a spray tan, he will be Geroge Clooney before you know it

My friends aunty did this with her doctor bf, he looks pretty hot compared to what he did when she meet him

DidEinsteinsMum · 21/12/2009 15:29

I put my parcels in the post today. Still have to write my christmas cards so will probably not bother and speak to the important likely to get the huff ones and try to write late christmas letters for everyone else when i get 5 mins over christmas like that will happen

Vinny you are not being unreasonable and have every right to be serverely pissed off. Ranting here is a good place as you cant let your feelings out in from of ds'. If you dont let them loose somewhere you'd explode. so rant away hun.

GodRestYeMerryMummyLin · 21/12/2009 15:30

Just popping in for quick visit to wish you all a very happy christmas and new year.

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 21/12/2009 15:39

And to you, MummyLin

bellavita · 21/12/2009 15:48

Aww MummyLin - same to you to

bellavita · 21/12/2009 15:49

BofF - are you on fb chat?

YanknChristmasCrackers · 21/12/2009 15:52

Squeezy....mmmm Lurpak! I had to have real butter during the pregnancy, as everything else made me vom on sight/smell, but have gone back to low fat spread now and I miss the real stuff!

hells, thanks, I will look out for the baby nail files. Or just never let DH near him again

VT, very at your xfil, how dare he mess with a child's mind like that?! He sounds like an arse anyway, getting himself arrested for taking a swing at xmil's new partner. Can you write to him maybe and say you know what he's been up to, you are very annoyed, and there won't be any more visits alone until you can be sure he's not poisoning your child's mind against his other relatives?

The grand plan for surprising DH with the new mattress has fallen through. It was supposed to be delivered today between 12-6, and I'd dragged old mattress out, spent an hour cleaning the bedroom, washed the nice sheets...only to have them phone me and say it couldn't be delivered today due to the weather! Still trying after 2 hours to get through to customer services and see if they are going to deliver tomorrow, but broke down and told DH as we're going to have to sleep in the spare room, since I am NOT dragging that stupid mattress back in there.

YanknChristmasCrackers · 21/12/2009 15:53

ooh, and I lost a pound

TinselianAstra · 21/12/2009 16:06

Well done Yank! Every pound is progress.

DidEinsteinsMum · 21/12/2009 16:13

Bless ya yank. dont blame you for not wanting to drag matress back in though.

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 21/12/2009 16:42

Jet...you have already given something back by your lovely post....

Alicehasamincepieintheoven · 21/12/2009 17:29

Yank - damn it! All my grand plans go tits up too.

What is everyone having for dinner tonight? I am starving, can't be bothered doing loads of cooking as have cookies to make later, and DH won't be home for another 2 hours, so he will have a pizza when he gets home.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 21/12/2009 17:35

Hope XFil is sorted and didn't get arsy with you, Vinny. It does sound like he is using your little boy as some sort of pawn between him and XMil,

Yank, sorry the mattress plan hasn't quite worked.

Have done all my food shopping, so can now relax and not worry. DH is getting some cheeses on Wednesday from a local deli place.

All I've eaten today is pringles and dips, just about to have a piece of stollen.

Gawd, I love CHristmas food

bellavita · 21/12/2009 17:45

Well done Yank , sorry about your mattress though.

Alice - we are having lasagne. Tis in the oven as we speak. DH taken DS1 for his guitar lesson and they should be back for about 6.15.

Vinny, you did the right thing saying you already had stuff arranged with DS.

Alicehasamincepieintheoven · 21/12/2009 18:18

Have 'cooked' chicken steak thing (think Birdseye) couscous with peas and some tinned tomatoes. Literally a 'what can i throw together that is bland (DD poorly, me ms) tastes quite good actually

at 'oh and I lost a pound'. Took me a few seconds to work out the relevance before I remembered 'oh yes, it's a healthy eating thread'

Well done, anyway!

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 21/12/2009 18:35

I'm not bothering with tea tonight- CBA. Had soup and a bagel this afternoon. I will be a shadow of my former self if I keep this up, but I suspect it won't last.

Going out in an hour to watch John Bishop at the Empire- very excited! Am dressing up a bit, seeing as this counts as a Christmas night out.

I don't think we're front row or anything- last time I saw a comedian live I was though and my tits were the butt of the jokes all night. Obviously I loved it

LizzyLordsALeaping · 21/12/2009 18:38

BOF, I'm a bit like that, either CBA with food or stuffing my face, one extreme to the other.

JOhn Bishop, I know him, think he was in panto in Lowry year before last (with the ever delightful Darren Day), he is a scouser, isn't he? V defined cheekbones

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 21/12/2009 18:39

Ah, now I haven't seen his knob. I've seen Jason Manford's though.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 21/12/2009 18:39

LOvely Ted and lovely view, Shiney.

Despite me having to drive with my eyes closed out of fear (not good), the world looks lovely and clean with snow.
Until it turns into grey murky mush
