The upside is that the liqueur chocs we bought for my Nan are lovely, esp Cointreau one.

So is DP on the M6 or flashing, BOF?

I couldn't believe DS2, was walking along, holding his hand when this little old couple started laughing and said "Excuse me dear", he'd been merrily walking along with all on show, for how long I don't know. He is such a flasher.

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 20/12/2009 20:05

Well, he hasn't been in the car all day

KissingUnderTheMittsletoe · 20/12/2009 20:07

Well, there is nothing quite like a confident man is there?..if you've got it, flaunt it

bellavita · 20/12/2009 20:08

at BofF...

YanknChristmasCrackers · 20/12/2009 20:08

Vinny, what a rotten situation your xfil has created.

BOF, at Australia!

I seem to have added some of you on facebook and not others, but only because I keep forgetting who is who already!

Slightly traumatic day in the Yank&Cock household today. Asked DH to cut DS's nails while I was feeding him, and was quite annoyed at DH as I thought he wasn't gentle enough in how he was holding DS's arm...and then on the first nail, all of a sudden there was blood and a scream from DS. I yelled at DH to get me some toilet roll to put pressure on it, then screamed at him for not being careful enough and told him to 'JUST GO AWAY!!'

So ended up sitting there trying to stop the bleeding with DS screaming and getting blood all over me. Was hoping if I could get him latched on to the boob again he would forget about the pain, but it didn't work too well. It was only about 5 minutes, but when he was screaming in pain it seemed like hours. Then called to DH to get me some gauze and tape, and he was nearly in tears, he felt so awful. Lots of apologies all round, and DS is ok...but what a mama bear moment there....

LizzyLordsALeaping · 20/12/2009 20:09

If I'd have known I'd have turned left at the M62.

bellavita · 20/12/2009 20:10

Mitts, have you got any strong painkillers you can take for your cramping? Poor you

BitOfFunderthemistletoe · 20/12/2009 20:12

Oh Yank, it's horrid, isn't it? I remember ex slamming dd2's hand in the door- I have never felt rage like it.

bellavita · 20/12/2009 20:16

Awww for mini Yank. Hope he is ok now.

FlamingoCrimbo · 20/12/2009 20:20

Oh Yank .

Bite them - the nails, that is. I can't bear to clip small baby's nails and only start doing it when they're old enough to understand to hold still.

YanknChristmasCrackers · 20/12/2009 20:49

He's ok and sleeping peacefully, thanks everyone. I did used to bite his nails, but he's got nails like his dad, they are very tough already and don't come off easily. When I try biting them they end up all jagged and DS will scratch himself and us! Have used the clippers without incident loads of times myself, but this was DH's first time. DS will forget about it, but I highly doubt DH will.

Weigh-in tomorrow. Have stayed within points today, but I'm -15 overall for the week. Still, I expect to have lost at least a little bit tomorrow and will be v disappointed if not.

LizzyLordsALeaping · 20/12/2009 21:33

Yank, I still have probs cuting my DS's nails and they will be 6 and 4 in March! When they were tiny it was awful.
I remember DH falling asleep and almost dropping DS2 when he was a newborn .
I punched DH.
Mama Tiger is a fearsome woman to mess with.

DH has gone to bed, with a dicky tummy. Am watching the Oz Clarke thingy and lusting seriously after Hugh Dennis, have such a thing for him.

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 20/12/2009 21:58

SazzlesOnASled · 20/12/2009 22:01

Been over to friends this avo and had a lovely time . I am taking DD1 to my friends house tomorrow and she is very excited as she loves 1 on 1 time without DD2

Vinny - has DS gone to XP's ok? FIL sounds mad as a box of frogs, especially with bringing you flowers/chocs

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/12/2009 22:08

YanknChristmasCrackers · 20/12/2009 22:10

Cheers Squeezy! It was my second trip down the aisle, the first time I resembled a giant marshmallow. Was very happy to wear something in a colour that actually suited me. It's our 1st anniversary very soon.

Lizzy, do you listen to The Now Show on Radio 4? I can understand a mild crush on Hugh Dennis....

jaquelinehyde · 20/12/2009 22:28

Evening everyone

Wow it's been eventful on here today.

Vinny I feel really sorry for your ds being used like that the poor thing. I hope it is resolved asap. I'm so with you on the money front, take the dress back and buy Xmas dinner. Hope everything is OK, if it makes you feel any better we are having just a normal roast chicken dinner, but with crackers. You don't need to spend a fortune to have a nice day.

BOF how can anyone think it OK to arrange a trip to the opposite side of the world with no discussion!!!

at Bella's massage, wasn't it Bella who was giving her car a handjob yesterday? I think someone needs some therapy?!

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 20/12/2009 22:28

Aw DEM, those are great pics! The reindeer is fab and huge, and the SS is great, love the warning and then bang

Have put a couple pics on profile of the cat and the snow. Will take pics of my SS tomorrow and put them on

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/12/2009 22:42

its a shame that some shits round here felt the need to take his head off...

Cat looks lovely.

Honest opinion but is mn a bit scathing at the mo or just mostly AIBU?

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 20/12/2009 22:48

I know DEM, typical some folks always spoil it for the little ones.....grrr!

Yep, agree things are a bit scathing at the moment. Maybe the weather is stressing everyone out?

YanknChristmasCrackers · 20/12/2009 23:04
