...for our 31st Heathy Eating thread- I can't promise that we aren't re-cycling titles for the thread at this point, and like any sequel it will no doubt be full of inferior lines and piss-poor cinematography (after all, who can beat the links to Terry Wogan? Oops), but we are all here and welcome any newcomers who want to join in the frenzy and hilarity that are the Shiney threads, named for our glorious leader

We chat, support, and shout at each other in varying amounts, and try to stay on the straight and narrow for health, weight-loss or both. Join in, and have fun- it's cheaper than weightwatchers, and there are rude jokes and bargain shopping codes too- what more could you ask for?

Hiya ladies

Have been busy all day dealing with leaks. Think (fingers crossed, please, I'm begging) we have it all under control. Guy who eventually came out today was brill. Get this - to my horror, our leaks (yes, more than one) have been caused by mice gnawing the plastic central heating pipes between the living room ceiling and bedroom floor He lifted the floor boards and the water was pissing out all over the place with teeny holes, teeth marks and little shavings underneath the pipes! I was gobsmacked! Had no idea they were in the house and certainly no idea they could climb and cause such damage!

Bought 4 sonic plug in thingamys, 2 killer death traps and we already had a humane trap. REALLY need to get rid of the mice or it will be a very expensive case of replacing all of the pipes with copper Loss adjustors coming Friday to assess the damage etc.

Anyhoo.......have skimmed the thread, will go back and read again properly as I've forgotten everything already.....except for the lovely rings Very, very nice, I like both old and new so they are all gorgeous! Buy it Trills!!

Well Trills, as my Gran died before online became online then i will have to make an executive decision on that one. And the answer is yes

DD is going to the Safari Park today...
Have been up nearly all night with DS having raging earache..poor little soul. But I do so [heart] the NHS and the lovely folk of NHS direct.

Just off in search of coffee/diet coke/smarties/stimulant narcotics...

Kissing - poor DS, I do sympathise with you and him... my DS1 has suffered since he was 6 months old with ear infections/earache and it is not nice. Hope he feels better today?

Squeezy, fingers crossed that everything is sorted and that you have killed the little buggers off. How bloody annoying for you. My mum had mice in her loft and she could hear them. It used to drive her mad.

Work at 8.15 again this morning so I had better go and get showered as I have to leave at 7.30am.

OOh Mits, earache is awful, can really disorientate you as well. Hope DS is better soon, you've prob finished DEM's brew, here's an extra strong coffee....

Sazz/Trills you'll think I am a wierdo, I don't wear goggles at all. I did when I did the swimathon in May. But normally they just steam up and make me get a big red weal on my nose. So I jave perfected the streaming eyes look. Am I chucked out of the Shiney club now?

Weighed in this morning, have lost the extra 3lbs, so now have lost the 7lbs I put back on, which isn't bad.

I forgot to do a big Whoop Whoop to Fanny, losing 17lbs whilst you've had all that building work/no kitchen is amazing. I'd be looking like a takeaway pizza I'm afraid.
Sorry I didn't mention it before, I woke up in a panic this morning (I know I'm sad).

Today I am setting up a LInkedin and Facebook page for the business, you may be asked to become fans, sorry.

Oh bollocks- just got up to get ready for work, texted boss about dropping the keys off, and she, er forgot to telle she closed yesterday and I have got no job!

Still, I suppose I can go back ti bed for an hour once I've got dd2 sorted....oh shit.

Yes..well done on the 17Ibs Fanny....that is awesome. My weight doesn't appear to be budging so I really need to get the cardiovascular exercise going..I just don't find the same incentive for indoor exercise, as getting outside for a run or something. But there are so many demands on my time now it is hard to fit in. I will NOT BE BEATEN BY IT THOUGH! Grrrrr....
