Ok, I did it. Guess what my DDs are watching over and over again at the moment?

Anyway, welcome to everyone to our healthy eating thread - trying to lose weight or just to life a healthier lifestyle (and chatting inanely along the way).

Anyone and everyone welcome, just so long as you're nice! We are not a clique and welcome newcomers, so please join us! But beware - this thread moves very fast - just leap right in

Hopefully this one will fill up particularly quickly so we can lose this rather shit title

DIB - i have no idea to be honest! My scales can vary by 5-6lbs a day, i weighed myself yesterday and i was the same as i was at my last GP weigh in - 16st6. But, i know that my scales are always different to the GP ones. Then today it said 16st1!!

I like the guessing games i think with it - although usually i know i have done plenty of exercise so will have lost something. This month - not so much So, like you said, i will have to be very very good for the next week

How are you?

DreamsInBinary · 13/10/2009 12:34

Feeling very sick at the moment, Jet! Woke up in the night wanting to hurl, and the feeling hasn't left.

Bet you're glad to asked, eh

jetonthedancefloor · 13/10/2009 12:34

norma - not sure i have the willpower for Special K! Plus, i really want to try and do this with regular, low fat eating, as otherwise i will end up in a vicious circle. My GP said to me that so long as i havent gained he will prescribe - but i am seeing the practice nurse again this time, and not sure she has the same generous rule!

Oh, and the talk about the slow cookers has inspired me to dig mine out - will do plenty of casseroles - without the lovely fresh bread i usually have!

jetonthedancefloor · 13/10/2009 12:35

poor you DIB - but tbh - the talk of being poorly puts me off my food - keep it up

NormaSknockers · 13/10/2009 12:45

I can understand that Jet, I know what you men much rather get there with sensible eating

NormaSknockers · 13/10/2009 12:46

Oh no DIB you got the lurgy?

jetonthedancefloor · 13/10/2009 12:48

have you caught it off that Shiney DIB......

DreamsInBinary · 13/10/2009 13:01

Good point jet - that blasted leader of ours dripping bugs and germs all over the thread...

I bet everyone at work thinks I'm pregnant

I'm not, of course

TrillianSlasher · 13/10/2009 13:06

Germy germy thread. Yuck...

jetonthedancefloor · 13/10/2009 13:11

that should be title of our next thread - Shiney's germy germy thread

Seriously though DIB - hope you are feeling a little better.

Lizzylou · 13/10/2009 14:09

Hello all, hope you are all OK and the poorly sick uns are getting better.

Let joy be unbounded, the carpet man is here putting the carpet down in the lounge/dining room. So that will be the end of our insurance claim nightmare, only 4 mths on!

Have been good today, and yesterday foodwise.

May be dancing in the dining room later for exercise

PuffFluff

PuffFluffLovesApplePearSnapps · 13/10/2009 14:23

I might keep this name, i think it suits me, no?

TrillianSlasher · 13/10/2009 14:25

Had to get purple hair dye - all the non-permanent colours had no deep red. (don't want permanent - bad for my hair).

I could get some on the internet but was feeling spontaneous.

Will take before and after pics for you

daftpunk · 13/10/2009 14:25
