Ok, I did it. Guess what my DDs are watching over and over again at the moment?

Anyway, welcome to everyone to our healthy eating thread - trying to lose weight or just to life a healthier lifestyle (and chatting inanely along the way).

Anyone and everyone welcome, just so long as you're nice! We are not a clique and welcome newcomers, so please join us! But beware - this thread moves very fast - just leap right in

Hopefully this one will fill up particularly quickly so we can lose this rather shit title

sorry you are lacking energy.

Am watching Strictly and recording X-Factor in between trying to find some reasonable flights for our holiday next year. DH is watching the rugby in the conservatory.

Am tired tonight >

DreamsInBinary · 10/10/2009 20:26

Am watching a recording of Strictly with promise of X factor to come. DH cooking steak and I'm about to throw together some baby leaves and melon for a yummy salad. Wine in hand, natch*.

Tis a good Sat night

*Is "natch" enormously annoying? I keep wanting to use it, but holding back.

daftpunk · 10/10/2009 20:28

i think harley has had enough of MN...she joined about 6 months before me...i think you know when your time is up..

i'm not that good at regular small talk...even in RL....can come across as aloof, when actually i'm just not interested.....ha ha

oh god...this guy is killing she's the one

Iam fecked off. Watching Strictly and Phill Tufnell has had the same op as me - he had his last Sunday and was back dancing on Tuesday... DH reckons my surgeon was a cheap one..

DreamsInBinary · 10/10/2009 20:37

Oh Iggy

As soon as I read it I thought "fucking hell, how exciting"

But then didn't say anything

So, are you gonna? Are you gonna?

daftpunk · 10/10/2009 20:40

Pop question to DP, Bella.
Big chance he'll say no, after years of me saying never! Just seems like the right time for some reason. And a birthday, and a nice (rare) lunch out together sets the scene.. Oh I'll be so [cringing] if I come on tomorrow and have to say he said no...

bellavita · 10/10/2009 20:45

Found it!

Go for it Iggy, how exciting.

BewareTheFullMoon · 10/10/2009 20:48

TheIggorcist · 10/10/2009 20:53

If I do it it will be secret, bar yourselves and bestest pal - DP's mum would be all over like a rash, last thing I would need. I'd be in a meringue in minutes! (and not the nice sugary kind!)

BewareTheFullMoon · 10/10/2009 20:55

last thing you need. good luck.

TheIggorcist · 10/10/2009 20:57

Why do I love watching New Tricks so much? Is it cos I'm so old myself? I get flutters when Denis Waterman comes over all tough.

DevilsEnticeMadness · 10/10/2009 21:02

Stamps foot I am not beware i am DEM.
What do you think about this name? work/not work suitable/not suitable most importantly is it the right coat for me?

DreamsInBinary · 10/10/2009 21:02

I got married six (eight?) weeks ago, Iggi, and we kept it secret from all bar the guests, so just the parents and siblings.

It was perfect and utterly stress-free.

TheIggorcist · 10/10/2009 21:05

Lovely DIB, I may well have to pick your brains (assuming I get a positive verdict). It all hasn't gone horribly wrong in the months since, has it? That's what worries me!

DevilsEnticeMadness · 10/10/2009 21:08

DIB give an opinion please.
flick up/down to post before yours. ta.

DreamsInBinary · 10/10/2009 21:10

I prefer it DEM. Beware was a good name, but didn't carry the same intensity I feel.

TheIggorcist · 10/10/2009 21:11

DEM I think it's a sackable name. I am looking forward to the Christmas names.

hellsbelles · 10/10/2009 21:22

oh - I love a bit of romance - not so bothered about the TV being broken now I've logged on to here this unfolding TheIggorcist. Can't wait to hear how it goes.

DevilsEnticeMadness · 10/10/2009 21:23

why iggie?

hellsbelles · 10/10/2009 21:30

Rather than put a dampner on the romance I thought I'd do this next post seperately as it may spoil the mood. DS spent the entire 45 mins of our heart stoppingly exciting game - scratching his bottom. Methinks worms??? Yuk.

Though I'm wondering if there could be any weight loss potential here if I get them too? I remember one of those tales years back about a fat opera singer having a tape worm purposely put into her and she subsequently lost loads of weight.

Do you think the common worm may have the same miracle effect and therefore negate the need for me to give up my daily Magnum temptation?? Shall I test this for all our sakes? What's an itchy bum and squiggly pooh if you can eat all you want and stay svelte
