Revolutionaries of The Shiney Path - The Gorillas In Our Midst Eat Healthily

Welcome to our 22nd Healthy Eating thread under the auspicious eye of Shiney the Cult Leader. She is vegetarian (like a gorilla), but you don't have to be! Or hairy!

I may be getting distracted by my over-cryptic thread title (it is hard when all the obvious ones have been done- fwiw The Shining Path are a South American guerrilla group and I'm looking at watching Che on dvd later, what can I say...), but I have been appointed Tsar With Authority for Titles, and starting this on a Friday night may be ill-judged, BUT...

We are here with the aim of eating healthily, losing weight in varying amounts if that is what we wish, and most of all posting as often as we're able to support each other. We have a good laugh too. Allegedly. But we're no trouble, no siree...

New-comers very welcome, just introduce yourselves and pile in!

sazzles No, don't know exactly where you live. Moving to town you live near, then, that starts with S .

If you life in the town that starts with P that is very lovely and old looking with narrow streets then I'm very . Looking to use the car less though, so S is a better option than an outlying village.

How many calories do you think I can burn up painting the floor of a very small downstairs loo with watered down PVA glue?

StrictlySazz · 03/10/2009 07:12

Oooh 1000's i would imagine

We are about a mile north of P, even more out in the sticks but there is a bus, maybe twice a day

Have you found somewhere yet?

StrictlySazz · 03/10/2009 07:14

The Lord says 264 per hr

Well done Lenin.

Yep, teething was sore for a bit. I'm not sure it's through properly yet but it has stopped moving/growing for now. Isn't there some numbing gel you can put on it? (surely you mother-type people should knwo this)

TrillianAstra · 03/10/2009 11:12

I find houmous is thick enough to have with veg sticks (carrot, celeery, pepper) and you still feel like you are having something. Salsa is just all made of veg so that with veg sticks isn't a substantial enough snack. Do not by any means buy any creamy dip. The Lord Ford showed us the error of our ways with that one.

Do you fancy a QF now you've mentioned it Shiney?

How much have you lost on the 'ill and not eating' plan?

Bonjela, Trill.
It's lovely, I could eat it out of the tube.

FabBakerGirlIsSURVIVED · 03/10/2009 11:15

I am so fed up.

All I do is put weight on.

I have such ingrained food issues I am not sure I will ever lose them.

Yes, crudites, that's what they're called (posh).

Have you been introduced to the Lord? He tells you how many calories are in food, and how many calories you burn doing different bits of exercise. But beware, for he is strict and if you ask for swift weight loss he will not allow you many calories to eat.
