I may be getting distracted by my over-cryptic thread title (it is hard when all the obvious ones have been done- fwiw The Shining Path are a South American guerrilla group and I'm looking at watching Che on dvd later, what can I say...), but I have been appointed Tsar With Authority for Titles, and starting this on a Friday night may be ill-judged, BUT...

We are here with the aim of eating healthily, losing weight in varying amounts if that is what we wish, and most of all posting as often as we're able to support each other. We have a good laugh too. Allegedly. But we're no trouble, no siree...

I am tired, but addicted to tvtropes. Can't tear myself away to go to sleep.

It is a website, like wikipedia but full of things you find in fiction, like stock characters or situations. Like "why don't you just shoot him" (instead of putting the hero in an easily-escapable overly-complex trap and then not watchig him die).

I like it because when I'm in the right mood I look at a page and click on about 3 links from there, then about 3 from each of those pages, etc. It's sort of a deconstruction of fiction, but in an interesting way. It's sometimes educational and sometimes just makes you go 'yeah, I've seen that loads of times'.

And it provides links to all sorts of crazy stuff like the proposal for a sarcastic font

The sun is shining, I have my washing machine on and I am also going out for lunch with my bessie mate and another friend (who I have not seen for a few years).
