Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

You never know what might pop up on this thread!

Hope all the poorlies are feeling better soon.
My throat and nose have been doing my head in today, but I think it's partly from dust as I've been sorting through the contents of our loft.

Crap food the last couple days. I've been waiting on my replacement debit card due to fraud, but I've got a Tesco order coming in the morning with plenty of fruit.

No idea why I've stayed up so late, I'm knackered!

NormaSknockers · 01/10/2009 09:03

Morning all,

VT - really hope your nan will be ok & be home very soon

Shiney - you off your death bed yet?

Wasting back on the wagon today then??

My friends coming over with her DD later so we'll be heading out at some point, must be good at lunch time no matter where we are! Dinner tonight is roast, got a pork belly joint but I might have chicken instead....

Lizzylou · 01/10/2009 09:13

Morning all
Waiting for the 2 strapping scousers to come and put my kitchen back together, had to have an Indian takeaway last night as no hob/oven (conveniently forgets perfectly useable microwave).
So will be making lots of tea and coffee today.
Hope that your Nan's OK VT, DH's grandma has to go into hospital for blood every week, she is very anaemic and frail but has been having this done for a few years now, she's about 95 yrs old. Am sure all will be OK, honestly and as you say you have your DS and his GF to keep an eye on her.

Hope you all have good days (wishing I'd never clicked on the photo of TW's cock).

TrillianAstra · 01/10/2009 09:39

Hi guys, alarm didn't go off this morning (cos DP forgot to set it) so not quite awake yet. Team bonding day was fun but super-tiring, I think some of the rest went on to do more after-dinner drinking but I had to go home and sleep. Kinda achey now - tree-climbing and go-karting seem to be hard on different sets of muscles.

Did I miss anything? Are you all being good? Doing exercise? Eating healthily?

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 09:48

I wish I could do these corporate jolly days, they sound brilliant! Although they would have to pick some darn solid trees

Trill, can I ask you who QueenOfFingEverything is? I've forgotten. I've just worked out that the always woman is faq (I assume) and that her solemn vow to leave us forever was a bit flimsy

All these name changes are perplexing me- only just figured out that Thunderduck is still here!

Hello

I have no idea what is going on, have not had time to read the whole thread. My friend is still with us and, while I feel I can sneak online just to read random posts in active convos, I can't really justify the time it takes to be properly involved in this thread. Will be back in full force on Sunday though!

Anyway, have two things to say to you all:

  1. Look here. I am very nervous.
  1. I went clothes shopping with the money from my mum yesterday. I'm now wearing SIZE TEN JEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . But have eaten like a pig this week, so will not weigh in until I've done a few runs to burn it all off!
TrillianAstra · 01/10/2009 10:04

QueenofFingEverything? Not really sure. I'm not around enough to remember, and I didn't realise she was anyone important.

Well done on the jeans Flamingo!

BoF - they claimed that the harnessess could take up to 2 tonnes, although if you were that large you'd have trouble fitting one on!

daftpunk · 01/10/2009 10:08

hiya...

anything exciting to tell me....(i wont read back...)

and where is harleyd...?

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 10:09

Good luck Flamingo!

Lol at "anyone important" - who is? Ha, you must have missed be getting bawled out for having become a "parody of MN royalty" yesterday- funny to be dubbed past it!

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 01/10/2009 10:11

A parody of MN royalty? Sounds like fun. Link it and I'll try to read it if I ever get a chance.

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 10:18

On this bit of silliness...

NormaSknockers · 01/10/2009 10:25

Good luck to Flamingo's DH & well done on the jeans!

Trills sounds like a very active day out - did you work how many calories you burnt off?!

Is it possibe to be dizzy whilst sitting down

That's a really funny card, what's the big deal?

Lizzylou · 01/10/2009 11:19

Yep, they dismantled it yesterday, but I don't think they are "real" scousers, they are from near Ormskirk/Skelmersdale and very lovely men they are too. Doing a fab job and very polite and have chosen me a lovely worktop. I'd got fed up of the whole thing tbh, they rang me to say they'd found one that would match my floor tiles perfectly.

They do sound very scouse though. To the untrained ear.

Lizzylou · 01/10/2009 11:20

Way hey on the jeans, FB, size 10, think I was born bigger than that!

Yep, I think TW's generous package should be our mascot, Shiney, good thinking. We don't have to look at it again though do we?

Lizzylou · 01/10/2009 11:21

I was flummoxed by the MN Royalty parody thing.
Do you sit at the right hand of Cod though, BOF?

Morning all!

I am back on it indeed Norma! I have tracked points for lunch already, including a 0% Total yoghurt thing. I've been paying attention you see.

Tree-climbing sounds awesome Trillian, I'm not surprised you're achey!

DH has an important work occasion tonight, and he found out last night it's going to substantially more important than they thought.
Must be something in the air eh, FB?

Lizzylou · 01/10/2009 11:26

Or on the right hand.......

TrillianAstra · 01/10/2009 11:27

yeah, seemed very definitely like a troll once the OP came back to say more. Some MNers can be so kind, it's lovely (asking about mental health/PND/etc), but it's a shame that the kind ones are also over-sensitve when they realise that their kindness has been directed at a joke.

If I had time I'd do one, I'm def not royalty.

BitOfFun · 01/10/2009 11:43

I am at TWC's right hand- yes to that as our mascot
