Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

Reckon everyone is still clicking on 'do you mean recursion?', TMW. You sound very perky today

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 30/09/2009 10:28

I googled 'recursion'. I will now be joining the absent MNers while my brain melts.

I feel perky, DIB. Just one of those days when I am at one with myself and my little world.

Hello all. Despite only just venturing onto this thread I'm not going to be about much. My dad has decided to come and visit (poor newly single parent that I am) so I'm up to my child-bearing hips in not-being-rude-to-my-dad. Not only did he bring his own bread and coffee ("Didn't know if you'd have any Mavis" ) but if he says "oould I just give you a little tip...." once more I'm not going to be responsible for my actions

I'm 38 ffs.

Hope everyone is feeling better today, I'm off to stuff my face with Haribo and snuggle ds2. He's 6 months old and has discovered those gaping mouth baby kisses things. Lovely!

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 30/09/2009 11:01

If my Dad was coming to stay Mavis, I would leave the country.

Thanks shiney...how are you and the others that are illing bearing up today?

NormaSknockers · 30/09/2009 13:31

Afternoon all >

Looks like I've missed loads - off to catch up!

NormaSknockers · 30/09/2009 13:51

Oh Mavis that sounds er.....fun! Did he say how long he was/is planning on staying or will you be evicting him before long Deep breaths & count to 10, if all else fails just just nod & go 'hhhmmm' everytime he says something

Shiney - how you doing today? Are you still coughing & leaking? Soon after I had DD I was standing in MILs kitchen when a sneeze took my by suprise, I didn't have time to brace myself or anything so did a cough-leak too Trouble was we were spening the day there!!!!!

My lunch was bloody horrible & now I'm hunry again - what to eat....?

Oh, stayed the same this week - perfectly happy with that after what I ate this week! Guess the running is doing it's job & keeping the weight off at least, definately getting a waist back too!

VT...hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!

sorry about your Nan...I hope it is a brief visit and she is well looked after.

Salsavita · 30/09/2009 18:23

Sorry about your Nan VT .

My Dad's auntie - her daughter (not sure if that would make her my 2nd cousin) but she died today 55 years of age (only 11 years older than me) I was her bridesmaid. I was really close to her when I was growing up. I feel sooo sorry for my mum because I am not so sure how much more she can take what with my dad not mobile, her doing everything and then this as she was close to her too.

Anyhooo, having roast dinner - pots in the oven.

BitOfFun · 30/09/2009 18:32

How sad, salsa, really sorry

Hope you're Nan's ok soon, Vinny.

NormaSknockers · 30/09/2009 18:41

Sorry to hear that Salsa

Shiney always better when the cold comes 'out' isn't it, glad you're feeling a bit better

I'm ok ta, have a sinking feeling I've been ripped off but will see how it pans out!

Salsavita · 30/09/2009 18:49

Norma - what has happened for you to feel you have been ripped off?

NormaSknockers · 30/09/2009 18:54

No item & no contact. I'm sure there's a very simple explanation though - just feeling crap today & a bit woe is me - ignore me I'm a drama queen

Salsavita · 30/09/2009 18:56

What from e-bay?

NormaSknockers · 30/09/2009 19:03

No here, although had my fair share of grief from eBay today too - maybe it's me

Salsavita · 30/09/2009 19:07

Oh no. Have you put the feelers out to see if anyone else has bought from this person or has seen them around mn?

NormaSknockers · 30/09/2009 19:16

Well that's the thing, sold a lot to her chatted loads & she seems really lovely so it's a bit odd, but she hasn't posted on here in a few days either. It's unlike her as she seems so lovely so wondering if something's happened?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 30/09/2009 19:19

Really sorry to hear that salsa...

And that things are not much improved for you VT.

Salsavita · 30/09/2009 20:00

Is she a regular on all the threads Norma or just the for sale ones?

How are you TMW?

I had my roast dinner, but I still feel hungry..
