Welcome to what may be our 21st Healthy Eating thread!

We take it with varying levels of seriousness- in fact we are a pretty light-hearted bunch generally, but we do support each other, whether we are trying to lose a little (or a lot of) weight, or just get fitter.

Shiney is our Glorious Leader , ably backed up by the ass-kicking Sycamoretree and many other lovely regulars.

Come and join us- post as much as you can and join in the fun, nay, the phenomenon that is the Shiney thread

But do refer us to the dickheadish threads so we can judge for ourselves (and perhaps come back and bitch)

daftpunk · 29/09/2009 19:07

it's not the swearing in names thread...

i actually have a book of real names;

jack off

dick wacker

dick handler

mercy fucker

all real names....(from about 100 years ago)

there's worse!

AnnTwacky · 29/09/2009 19:16

Oh I would love to be called Mercy Fucker- it would suit me down to the ground

TrillianAstra · 29/09/2009 19:49

Chicken still in oven, have eaten tortillas and hummus (ther's an o in that somewhere - and it's the low fat stuff) to keep going. Have also taken out bins and recycling and folded and put away clothes and put more stuff in washing machine.

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 29/09/2009 19:49

Good evening all, so sorry for all the ill people, DC's have got through the worst of it, well at least they have stopped chucking up when they cough.

DIB - sounds like you had a good time. I want to go on holiday.

Still hacking away at the garden here and walking the dog and tonight we are having pork threaded on to rosemary with beans and rice and a red pepper sauce.

weigh in tomorrow so no wine for me.

TrillianAstra · 29/09/2009 19:54

Mmmm, sounds yummy Fanny. Fiddly to thread onto rosemary though - do you take the leaves off first?

Lizzylou · 29/09/2009 19:55

DIB, tell us all about your holiday, or don't actually Oh Gwan then.

Have NOT been good, won't divulge too much but suffice to say I have sweet chilli sauce blobbed on my top and crisps stuck in my teeth.
I cannot stay away from rubbish food at the moment, am not eating a lot but what I am eating is crap.

Norma, hope your run was good (is there a guilty emoticon?).

Hope all the ill people are feeling better soon

AnnTwacky · 29/09/2009 19:56

Sounds lovely! I hate the cough-puke thing too, it's got me at the moment, but I'm better than I was this morning.

NormaSknockers · 29/09/2009 19:57

Woo-hoo back from my run & didn't keel over or puke In good need of a shower though!

DO don't let the eejits get you down, not worth it! I'm sure they have peanut sized brains

Oooooo Five that sounds rather delish, my dinner pales in comparison!!

Trills love the sound of the pots, I usually chuck in some bacon when I do them like that, probably shouldn't though

NormaSknockers · 29/09/2009 20:02

DP not DO

NormaSknockers · 29/09/2009 20:03

Lizzy any reason you can see for eating crap? That time of the month or anything (I always eat junk when AF is on her way!)

TrillianAstra · 29/09/2009 20:08

Well done Norma, running is hard.

I am messing about on tvtropes.org, it is a happy place.

Lizzylou · 29/09/2009 20:09

NOrma, no, have no excuse, and loads of fruit and veg in the house. Just craving stodge.

It's bonkers out there (active convos) at the moment, all this sweary name stuff. Have no real view, it's the new Mouldies I think.

Lizzylou · 29/09/2009 20:10

Yay for your run as well Norma.

I MUST get motivated, feel flabby again.

Ick.

Lizzylou · 29/09/2009 20:26

Niiice.
Coming out of every orifice.
Great being a woman innit?

DreamsInBinary · 29/09/2009 20:26

Oh Shiney, the pelvic floor after childbirth is a pitiful thing. My great-grandmother had thirteen children. Aside from the horror of thirteen children, one can only imagine the dread every time she caught a cold.

DreamsInBinary · 29/09/2009 20:28

"Sweet", Trill

I imagine you to be many (fabulous) things, but "sweet" didn't make my top ten...

Iggi999 · 29/09/2009 20:29

Hello Do I have to be sick to come on tonight?? You poor souls. Just had guilty thought alert - it's always easier being nice to sick people when they're not actually coughing next to you, isn't it?
I am going to be good and do my homework tonight, big bad inspectors coming, in oh, 12 days now

TrillianAstra · 29/09/2009 20:33

Thanks DIB - neither do I

Yes, you're right Iggi, that's much nicer than actually being near the snotty pee-leaking people.

Shiney, Gotothedoctor, gotothedoctor, gotothedoctor, gotothedoctor.

I had to have physio because of my grimmo third degree tear, and they told me that you really should get these things sorted now, rather than wait to be a smelly old woman come menopause time.

The physio will test the muscles and if necessary give you exercises or recommend surgery. DO NOT LET THIS GO!
